Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze continues to be linked with a move away from the London club.
The 26-year-old was linked with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United during the summer transfer window. However, a move did not materialise back then.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the player is still appreciated by Tottenham and they could face competition from Manchester United. Eze will cost around £60 million, due to a release clause in his contract and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham or Manchester United are prepared to pay up.
The London outfit could certainly use more quality and cutting-edge in the final third. The England international is capable of operating as a winger as well as a central attacking midfielder. He could compete with James Maddison for the starting spot. Competition for places will help Tottenham improve as a team. His ability to create goalscoring opportunities and get on the score sheet could make him a valuable asset for the London outfit.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking to add more quality to their attacking unit as well, and they want to invest in a wide player. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the Crystal Palace star in the coming months.
Both clubs have the financial muscle to get the deal done and Eze will want to join a club where he will be able to push for major trophies on a consistent basis.
