Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in signing the Feyenoord defender David Hancko at the end of the season.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham and Chelsea are the most interested clubs in securing the services of the 27-year-old central defender. The Dutch outfit have already set the asking price and the Premier League clubs will have to pay £42 million if they want to get the deal done.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay £42 million for the defender at the end of the season. They already have four central defenders at their disposal and signing a young defender in the role of a squad player would be ideal. Hancko will demand regular gametime, and that might not be possible at Tottenham, especially with Cristian Romeo and Micky van de Ven already at the club.

Tottenham signed Kevin Danso in January and they have an obligation to make the move permanent in the summer. It seems unlikely that they will pay a premium for Hancko as well. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Hancko has proven himself with the Dutch outfit, and there is no doubt that he is good enough for the Premier League. He has shown his qualities in the Champions League as well.

The 27-year-old defender will want to compete at the highest level and the opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for him.
