Ange Postecoglou and Co returned to winning ways in the league on the weekend with their comeback win over Aston Villa.
Ahead of the hectic footballing calendar of the festive period, the Lilywhites are planning for the second of the season and beyond as the transfer window reopens in less than two months’ time.
Tottenham considering January move for Callum Hudson-Odoi
As reported by Football Insider, Tottenham remain interested in Callum Hudson-Odoi and are looking to move for him in January. Nottingham Forest could demand as much as £30 million for their English attacking midfielder.
Forest have exceeded all expectations with their start to this season and find themselves third in the Premier League table, six points off the top. The 23-year-old has been a key part of Forest’s campaign so far, with two goals from opening ten league games.
The England international’s ability to play on either wing as well as centrally if need be makes him a quintessential Postecoglou operator, though Spurs may have to pay above the odds for him if they are to make a move for him in January.
Hudson-Odoi has in place at Forest a £80k-per-week contract set to run until June 2026.
It all depends on one factor
Tottenham’s form going into the festive season will play a key role in determining how much the club management would want to back Ange Postecoglou for the remainder of the season.
Tottenham’s exciting football under Ange Postecoglou cuts both ways. They stumbled just enough last season to miss out on Champions League qualification and are stumbling every now and then this time round as well. If this continues, Daniel Levy and Co may find themselves reluctant in backing their manager come January.

If results take an upward turn, however, Hudson-Odoi is a player who would fit Postecoglou’s style and fit in quickly mid-season, though where Forest find themselves halfway through the season will also play a key role in determining their players’ inclination towards moving elsewhere. The former Chelsea man certainly has skill and it remains top be seen if Postecoglou can get the best out of him.
