Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly evaluating the possibility of signing Brazilian forward Evanilson, following contact from his agent amid interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
This comes on the heels of the recent acquisition of Dominic Solanke, a move that bolstered Spurs’ attacking options. As the club looks to further strengthen its squad for the upcoming season, Evanilson has emerged as a potential target.
According to HITC, Bournemouth have identified the Brazilian as a strong candidate to replace Solanke.
However, they face competition from a number of clubs including Tottenham who remain in contention for his signature along with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and West Ham.
The report claims that Tottenham are among the clubs who have held contact with the agent of the highly sought-after striker.
Evanilson joined Porto in 2020 and since then has consistently demonstrated his goal-scoring ability, racking up incredible numbers and establishing himself as a key player for the Portuguese club.
Last season, he scored 25 goals and assisted another 7 in 42 appearances. In total, he has amassed a stunning 60 goals and 21 assists in 154 appearances for Porto across all competitions.
Tottenham will be considering the potential benefits of adding Evanilson to their squad. His experience in European competitions, including notable performances in the UEFA Champions League, adds to his appeal as a valuable asset.
With his agent reaching out to Spurs, the club is open to assessing how his inclusion could enhance their offensive strength for the new season.
