Tottenham Hotspur are said to be eyeing Zepiqueno Redmond as a potential bargain signing for the summer transfer window.

Earlier this week, we reported that Tottenham have set their eyes on a move for a young teenage Feyenoord forward, Zepiqueno Redmond.

It was revealed that while the Lilywhites have eyes on the youngster, they are expected to be in a transfer tussle with Bournemouth and several Bundesliga sides who are also circling for his signature.

Of course, the Lilywhites are no strangers to giving youth a chance, as we’ve already seen this season – and with the youngster’s contract set to expire this summer, it’s clear why Spurs are showing interest.

Tottenham could sign Zepiqueno Redmond for a bargain fee

Now, according to Football Insider, Zepiqueno Redmond could be a “bargain signing” for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The publication states that while Spurs are fully aware that Redmond is drawing interest primarily due to his potential, rather than an established track record, they are in a strong position to secure the teenager’s services.

The Netherlands Under-19 international wouldn’t be ready to lead the line immediately at Spurs, but his availability on a free transfer has sparked a number of clubs into action.

With competition from Bournemouth, who are also interested in Redmond, alongside several Bundesliga teams, securing his signature won’t be easy. The race for the young forward’s services looks set to be a competitive one.

Is Zepiqueno Redmond the answer for Tottenham’s forward depth?

Spurs will undoubtedly need added depth in the forward areas next season, and while signing Zepiqueno Redmond could be considered a bargain, the youngster remains far from the finished article.

Questions remain about whether such a signing would truly be enough to bolster Spurs’ squad, particularly if Richarlison departs amid links to Saudi Arabia.

If the future of Mathys Tel also remains uncertain, with a return to Bayern Munich looking likely, bringing in a raw talent like Redmond might not strengthen the squad in the way it needs to be.

Indeed, if Tottenham are serious about competing at the highest level, they’ll need more than a player still finding his feet in top-tier football.
