When Everton sacked Sean Dyche last month, it was a decision met with a newfound sense of optimism among supporters.

For months, the Goodison faithful had completely lost their faith in Sean Dyche and were growing tired of his pragmatic style of play.

Everton fans urged the Friedkin’s to sack Dyche on a number of occasions, but they wanted to stick with him as long as possible.

However, the situation became untenable and the Toffees were sliding closer and closer to the relegation zone, so in came David Moyes, who has since turned the club’s fortunes on its head.

With that said, it’s pretty astonishing to now hear Tottenham fans all in agreement over Dyche replacing the underfire Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham Hotspur fans want Sean Dyche to replace Ange Postecoglou

Following Sunday night’s 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round, Tottenham fans have been calling for Ange Postecoglou to be replaced by former Everton manager Sean Dyche.

“Get Dyche in until the end of the season,” wise0w1 said.

@thatslux_ posted: “Fine. Sack Ange. Maybe we’ll get Dyche and improve before May.”

@FM_HOTSPUR commented: “We might need Dyche to escape relegation.”

“I’d genuinely rather Sean Dyche than Southgate,” @mackyd78 added.

@danrogers77 said: “He’s finished. The longer he stays the deeper this issue gets. Even Sean Dyche would get a better tune out of these players. People say a lack of Plan B? Does anyone know what plan A is?”

“Dyche and Moyes would organise this team better,” @markTHFC82 posted.

How would Dyche fare at Tottenham?

If Dyche were to join Tottenham, it’d likely be only on a six-month deal until the end of the season.

The former Everton boss would certainly sure up the defence but it’d likely come at the expense of their attack.

Plus, Spurs have a relatively young group at the minute, given their injuries, and Dyche hasn’t exactly got the best record working with younger players.

He would constantly bench Jake O’Brien during his spell on Merseyside and now he’s flourishing under Moyes.

So it’d be a safe but uninspiring appointment, if it ever did happen.
