Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sell two players before the transfer window closes.

According to a report from the Athletic, Tottenham are looking to cash in on Sergio Reguilón and Giovani Lo Celso. Both players have struggled for regular game time at the North London club and they need to move on in search of regular playing time.

Reguilon was on loan at clubs like Brentford and Manchester United last season and he is not a key part of Tottenham’s plans going forward. The 27-year-old Spanish defender needs to leave in order to play regularly and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

He has previously shown his quality in La Liga and a fresh start would be ideal for him. Tottenham are well-stocked in the left-back department and the Spaniard is unlikely to get any opportunities this season.

Meanwhile, Lo Celso has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot at the London club either. James Maddison is currently the first choice attacking midfielder at the club and the Argentine international is unlikely to play regularly this season.

He needs to move on this summer in order to get his career back on track and he has been linked with a move back to La Liga. Tottenham will be hoping to get rid of both players so that they can recoup some money from their departure. Their exits will free up the wage bill as well.

Both players are at the peak of their careers and they have a lot to offer. They should look to join a club where they will get ample game time.
