Ipswich Town have made a move for Tottenham’s Joe Rodon.
The defender enjoyed a successful season on loan at the Championship side.
Over the course of the season, he made 46 appearances, starting in 45 games, and played a key role in achieving 20 clean sheets for Farke’s side. His performances has attracted interest from a number of clubs
Among those interested in securing his services include Leeds, Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton.
In a strategic move, Tottenham recently exercised the option to extend Rodon’s contract by another year. This extension ensures that Spurs can maximise his market value amid the growing interest from other clubs.
It was previously reported that the player is keen on a return to Leeds on a permanent transfer but that may not happen now due to the Yorkshire club’s financial constraints.
As per the latest from Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold, Spurs have now received a verbal offer from Ipswich.
However, he confirms that Leeds United and Leicester are also after the Wales defender and could yet join in on the race.
He shared on X:
Understand Spurs have received a verbal offer for Joe Rodon from Ipswich. Nothing formal or submitted in writing yet. As I reported before, Leicester and Leeds are also after the Wales defender, who is currently abroad at a training camp ahead of the new season.
