Tottenham Hotspur have adopted a refreshing and ambitious transfer policy, focusing on recruiting and developing young talents with high potential at N17. In what has been a challenging season for the club, it’s the inexperienced youngsters who have often risen to the occasion for manager Ange Postecoglou.

Last summer, Spurs pulled off a major coup by securing Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, two of the most sought-after prospects in Europe, despite competition from top clubs across the continent. Bergvall, in particular, has shown immense growth, quickly becoming one of the standout performers in the squad. His impressive form has not gone unnoticed, earning him a first call-up to the Sweden national team at just 19 years of age, a testament to the club’s long-term vision and the youngster’s rapid progression.

On the other hand, Archie Gray has showcased remarkable versatility under Ange Postecoglou, stepping up wherever the team has needed him. Despite being just 18 years old, Gray has been deployed in multiple positions, including his most frequent role this season as a centre-back, largely due to the club’s ongoing injury crisis.

Impressively, he has handled the responsibility with maturity beyond his years, never looking out of place even in a position that isn’t his natural role. His composure, intelligence, and work ethic have made him a vital part of the squad, and a shining example of Tottenham’s youth-first approach paying dividends.

Tottenham aiming to sign Luka Stojkovic

Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are two of the many examples of Ange Postecoglou relying on youngsters and trusting them. Tottenham Hotspur is ranked first this season in the Premier League for most minutes given to teenagers as well (2,839). The English club has suddenly become an exciting place for a youngster to join and develop their game, as well as play in the best league in the world.

The Lilywhites are now said to be interested in bringing another young talent to the Hotspur Way. According to Tottenham News, Spurs are interested in the highly rated 21-year-old winger Luka Stojkovic. However, the English club face some serious competition for the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder. The report suggests that European giants Bayern Munich are also in the race for the Croatian talent.

With Timo Werner leaving in the summer and club captain Heung-Min Son also facing an uncertain future, the North London club are looking to sign a potentially world-class young winger next summer.

Stojkovic dilemma for Tottenham

Luka Stojkovic has been tearing it up for Dinamo Zagreb in the HNL (Croatian League). The 21-year-old was awarded the Man of the Match for his most recent performance for his club’s win against Lokomotiva. The winger ended up winning the game 3-0, scoring a goal and providing an assist as well.

As per Sofascore, Stojkovic has played 26 games this season for Zagreb, scoring four goals and setting up another three. But his impact has been far greater than that. The winger is averaging a match rating of 7.25 this season. He has also created three big chances and has had 36 accurate key passes for Zagreb.

Tottenham’s bad season and potentially missing out on Champions League football will be a major reason why Stojkovic might decide to move to another club. The Lilywhites are in the bottom half of the Premier League table, and the only potential route to playing European football next season is by winning the Europa League this year.
