'Amorim won't be scammed by improved confidence'

HT: Man Utd 2-0 Everton

Pat Nevin

Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I have to say I think this place went very quiet up until the first goal. As soon as that happened, Everton who were slightly for my mind the better team, fell out of it. The confidence soared in this place after that but the manager won't be scammed by that because until that happened, they weren't playing that well.

This weekend marks the 11th Rainbow Laces campaign for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the Premier League, marked by Spurs with a special rainbow-coloured logo on the front of their matchday programme.

Inside the programme, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou says in his notes: "Quite simply, football is for everyone.

"I know the hard work the club puts in, together with Proud Lilywhites to ensure that is the case here and that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a safe and welcoming space.

"In the dressing room we talk a lot about family, unity and togetherness - and whether it's on or off the pitch, Spurs is a family that is inclusive to all".

HITS THE WOODWORK

Tottenham 0-0 Fulham

Tottenham's turn to hit the woodwork, and this is almost brilliant from James Maddison.

He's stood over a free-kick, a couple of yards outside the area, after Timo Werner is felled.

Maddison waits for the wall to jump and sends it under them, but it clips the base of the post.

Chants of 'oooh Enzo Fernandez' after sensational volley

Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa

Enzo Fernandez is beginning to gain acclaim after long struggling to live up to his £107million price tag.

A sensational left foot touch and right foot volley has sent Stamford Bridge into delirium as the supporters respond with chants of "oh Enzo Fernandez".

That is the Argentine's second goal in as many matches and, having also picked up an assist just before the international break, there are signs that he is ready to show his worth.
