Tottenham have intensified their efforts to secure one of their key summer transfer targets.

According to Football Transfers, Spurs’ technical director, Johan Lange, has ‘initiated discussions’ with Wolverhampton Wanderers about the potential signing of Pedro Neto.

The Portuguese international has been a long-term target for the Lilywhites, with their interest dating back to the January transfer window.

Despite being contracted with Wolves until June 2027, there is speculation that Neto could be available for the right price.

The 24-year-old winger has garnered interest from several top Premier League clubs, and his agent is actively exploring transfer options this summer.

Neto has shown considerable potential despite facing injury setbacks last season. He was out for a total of four months due to a hamstring injury on two occasions but returned to demonstrate his agility.

Neto scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup, highlighting his impact on the pitch this past season.

Since joining the club, he has scored 14 goals and assisted 24 across all competitions.

The left-winger also showed promise during the recent UEFA Euro 2024, making three substitute appearances for Portugal in the group stage.

Neto’s speed and dribbling prowess on the wings make him an appealing target for Tottenham. His ability to create opportunities and deliver precise assists aligns with manager Ange Postecoglou’s vision to enhance the team’s attacking options.

As Spurs looks to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, the addition of Neto could provide a fresh attacking dimension to the team.
