Reports from Spain, relayed by Football365, indicate that Tottenham have now joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for the 22-year-old, with all three clubs reportedly making offers to lure the Spanish international to England.

Chelsea appear to have made a substantial financial move, with a reported offer worth €20 million net per year until 2030. However, Tottenham are positioning themselves as genuine contenders, identifying Williams as a crucial part of their attacking rebuild.

As per the report, they have joined in making an ‘offer’ to Athletic Bilbao for their star winger.

Williams remains under contract with Athletic Bilbao until the summer of 2027, with a market value of around €70 million. His rise to prominence has made him one of the most coveted young talents in European football, and securing his signature would be a major coup for Spurs as they look to close the gap on the Premier League’s elite.

After breaking into Athletic’s first team in 2021, he quickly became known for his pace, skill, and ability to impact games from either flank. His standout 2023-24 season included a pivotal role in Athletic’s Copa del Rey triumph, where he assisted the decisive goal in the final and earned the Man of the Match.

On the international stage, Williams made headlines with his performances at Euro 2024, where he played a key role in Spain’s fourth European Championship victory, scoring in the final against England.

So far this season, Williams has made 31 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals and six assists taking his overall tally to 24 goals and 32 assists in 153 games for the club across all competitions. (Transfermarkt)

While Arsenal’s Champions League ambitions could appeal to the young Spaniard, Tottenham are determined to make their case.
