Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has done quite well at the Italian club and his performances have attracted the attention of the North London outfit. Spurs will face competition from Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign the attacker.
According to the Fichajes, an offer of around €45 million is expected in the summer for the player. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done. Spurs have scouted the player in recent months.
It is no secret that Tottenham need attacking reinforcements and a dynamic forward like Lookman would be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating across the front three and he will add goals and creativity to the side. The opportunity to move to the Premier League can be quite attractive for him.
Lookman would be a superb addition
The 27-year-old Nigerian has 17 goals and seven assists to his name this season and he has the quality to succeed in the Premier League. He knows English football well from his time at Everton, and he might be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact. He has been labelled as a “truly extraordinary player”.
Players like Richarlison and Timo Werner are expected to be on their way out of the club in the summer, and Spurs need to replace them adequately. Signing Lookman would be a wise decision for them.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and Chelsea need to add more quality and depth to their attacking unit. Mohamed Salah will be out of contract in the summer and Liverpool need to replace him. As far as Chelsea are concerned, they have been overly reliant on Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer. They need more depth in the final third, and the Nigerian would be a quality addition for both clubs.
