Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson at the end of the season.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, they are ‘monitoring’ the player and they will face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool as well. Several top clubs are keen on the 20-year-old central midfielder and the German club will demand a fee of around €60 million for him.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to pay up for the highly talented midfielder. The Swedish International is regarded as an elite prospect and he has attributes to develop into a world-class player with the right guidance.

Tottenham could use more technical ability and creativity in the middle of the park, and the 20-year-old could be the ideal solution to their problems. If he manages to adapt to the Premier League, he could form a solid partnership with the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an official offer to sign the player in the coming months.

Arsenal and Liverpool want Hugo Larsson

Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking at the player as well, and they could use more creativity in the midfield. It will be interesting to see if they decide to test Frankfurt’s resolve with an offer. Arsenal could be a more attractive destination for the player, they will be able to offer him Champions League football and the opportunity to fight for major trophies.

Similarly, Liverpool would be an attractive destination for the midfielder as well. All three clubs need more depth in the midfield, and the 20-year-old would be a long-term investment for them.

They have a proven track record when it comes to nurturing young players, and they could help the Swedish international fulfil his tremendous potential as well.
