Tottenham have agreed a deal for striker Troy Parrott who will leave the club to join AZ Alkmaar.

The young Irishman spent the last season on loan at Excelsior Rotterdam where he hugely impressed, scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

Parrott wanted to return to Spurs and be part of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side but the club has decided to cash in on him.

It was reported yesterday that a deal worth £6.7m has been agreed between the two clubs and that the player has travelled for his medical.

Tottenham have now officially confirmed the transfer, confirming that they have reached a deal with the Dutch side for a permanent move for Parrott.

The club shared the following statement on X:

“We have reached agreement with Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar for the permanent transfer of Troy Parrott.

Wishing you all the best for the future, Troy!”

Parrott joined Spurs in 2017, and was regarded as a promising academy talent as he progressed through into the first team.

He made a total of 4 senior appearances for the club and spent most of his recent time on loan.
