Signing Dorgu would be a major sign of intent from Tottenham given that they already have Destiny Udogie available as their left-back option, which could indicate that Spurs intend on helping the youngster discover his potential as a forward like Gotti believes that he can.
However, they will need to fend off interest from Chelsea if they are to secure his signature. The Blues were keen to sign Dorgu for their sister club Strasbourg over the summer but an agreement was not reached – though that is unlikely to have put an end to his admiration of the club.
