Real Madrid are sniffing around a couple of Tottenham Hotspur players, and while one stays quiet on the rumours, Pedro Porro has been more candid, and seems to be happy with the links.
Pedro Porro is a target for Real Madrid
Since joining Tottenham Hotspur in January 2023, Pedro Porro has overcome a difficult start to life in London to become one of the best full-backs in the Premier League, if not Europe.
The Spaniard is now contributing goals and assists on a fairly regular basis, and is one of the first names on Ange Postecoglou’s team sheet.
But, Porro is a wanted man, and it remains to be seen how much longer he will stay with Spurs, after reported interest from Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
It is thought Porro is one of the candidates Los Blancos are looking at as they seek a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal (The Athletic).
The La Liga club are also thought to be tracking Trent Alexander-Arnold, but Porro could be an option if the Liverpool man signs a new contract at Anfield.
Porro doubles down on Real Madrid flattery
When news first broke of the Spanish club’s interest in the Spurs defender, Pedro Porro angered sections of the fanbase by admitting he was ‘proud’ to be linked to Real Madrid.

Now, he has done it again, while speaking to Spanish outlet El Desmarque about his situation.
Porro said: “I am focused on my job. I am 25-years-old, at 26 I don’t know where I can be, football is like that. I am settled in English football, I have a contract until 2028.
“My name and others are mentioned, but I am focused on my club and now with the national team. My friends send me the rumours, it is a compliment, but I am focused. It is the result of a job well done that one of the best clubs in the world is taking notice of me.”
It would be a shame for Tottenham to lose Pedro Porro
This does feel like exactly the kind of transfer that would be just inevitable and almost impossible to stop. The player clearly feels enthusiastic about the idea, and right-back is a role Real Madrid desperately need to work on. Losing Porro would be a big blow for Spurs, though, and it’s a shame, as the club has been looking for the right man to replace Kyle Walker for years now, and they finally found him.
