Richarlison not interested in Saudi move despite lucrative offer

Tottenham striker Richarlison is not interested in moving to Saudi Arabia despite receiving a lucrative offer.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Al Hilal but, while he confirmed a Saudi offer was made, he wants to remain in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old told ESPN Brasil: "There has been an offer but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Selecao and in the Premier League speaks louder.

"The money is big but my dreams are bigger."

Spurs are in the market for a striker and potentially a wide forward.

It is, however, unlikely Ange Postecoglou's side will sign both if Richarlison stays.

Sky Sports News understands Spurs are interested in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Spurs secure future of 16-year-old Moore

Latest from Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge:

Tottenham are finalising a first professional contract for winger Mikey Moore.

The 16-year-old is considered one of England's most exciting prospects. Moore has agreed a new deal with Spurs, which will be completed on Sunday when he turns 17.

Moore has agreed a three-year deal, the longest allowed by FIFA regulations for players under the age of 18.

Moore made his Premier League debut last season and has impressed in pre-season, raising the possibility of him becoming part of Ange Postecoglou's first-team squad for the coming campaign.

'Spurs attempting to make progress for Solanke'

Tottenham are attempting to make progress in a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, according to the Daily Telegraph.

It is claimed the 26-year-old is high on Tottenham’s list of striker targets and the club have held talks regarding a move.

Sky Sports News understands Solanke has a £65m clause in his contract if a big Premier League club comes in for him.

Tottenham could reportedly try to strike a deal under the clause by offering Bournemouth favourable payment terms, but Ange Postecgolou's side have work to do to make significant progress.

Iraola explains Solanke absence amid Spurs speculation

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said Dominic Solanke missed their pre-season win over Rayo Vallecano due to a foot injury amid speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham.

The striker has a £65m clause in his contract if a big Premier League club comes in for him and Spurs are rumoured to be interested in the 26-year-old.

Speculation only intensified on Sunday afternoon when Solanke was missing for Bournemouth's pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano at the Vitality Stadium.

But Cherries boss Iraola explained an injury was behind the Englishman's omission and he expects him to return in Saturday's pre-season match against Girona.

Iraola told Sky Sports News: “Someone stamped on his (Solanke's) foot yesterday and we are not going to risk him in a pre-season friendly, and I hope he is going to play in the next game against Girona.

"[It's] nothing big [Solanke's injury], just that he couldn’t put the boot on, and we decided obviously to [not risk him]. Even with other players, I hope they can play against Girona and we can see them. They are really close, they had some small issues, like Justin Kluivert and Lewis Cook.

"With so many players and so many games it doesn’t make sense to take any risks and we decided like this.”

Asked about how an injury is perceived amid transfer speculation, the Spaniard responded: “It’s not in my control. I tell you what has happened and I’ve seen it happen. It’s the reality.

"It’ll probably make it bigger, but the truth is Dom came today and we decided it doesn’t make any sense to risk him in a friendly but it’s not a big injury, I’m not worried because he will be fine in three of four days.”

'AC Milan bid £12.8m plus add-ons for Spurs defender Royal'

AC Milan have offered £12.8m (€15m) plus add-ons to sign Tottenham defender Emerson Royal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It is claimed negotiations remain at the final stages, with the Serie A side working to get a deal for the Brazilian finally done in the coming days.

Spurs have also reportedly started exploring new right-back options in preparation for the 25-year-old's potential exit.

'Spurs will have to pay £65m to sign Solanke'

Tottenham have reportedly been told they will need to match Dominic Solanke's £65m release clause if they wish to sign the Bournemouth striker this summer, report the Daily Express.

However, that price tag is reported to be too high for the north London club's hierarchy to consider.

Meanwhile, Liverpool could pocket themselves a healthy £10m in additional transfer funds if Spurs secure the signature of Solanke.

He played for the Reds 27 times during the 2017/18 campaign.

Ange confirms striker focus amid Solanke links

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Tottenham are focusing on signing a centre-forward amid links with Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke.

Speaking to football.london, the Spurs boss said: "At Celtic, I had Kyogo, who was a sort of out and out number nine and in Japan, I've always had a striker.

"It just depends, like last year we had to be a bit creative, it's fair to say. You know but if Harry [Kane] would have stayed I definitely would have used him!

"So I think for us what's more important is the type of striker we get. You know we play a certain way. We demand certain things from a physical perspective from the technical aspects of it that it's going be a striker that fits that mould.

"It's still the area of the park we're really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that's a focus for us."

However, The Times says Bournemouth do not want to sell Solanke and it is unlikely Tottenham would meet the striker's £65m release clause.

Reguilon 'prioritising club in Europe' for next move

Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon is prioritising a move to a club playing in Europe next season as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

The Daily Mail reports that offers have been made from a number of clubs, but Reguilon is waiting for one that can provide him with European football.

The left-back has spent time on loan at Man Utd and Brentford in recent months.

Ange on Spence future: There's an opportunity for him here

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has praised Djed Spence and believes he has a future at the club.

The right-back's reported move to Genoa earlier this summer failed to materialise and he has since impressed in pre-season for Spurs, with Postecoglou revealing the 23-year-old can play a role under him next season.

The Australian told football.london: "I think with Djed, for me we got him back into pre-season and we’re judging him on his merits. He's a Tottenham player. To be fair to him, I think he's been very, very good for us this pre-season, in terms of the way he's trained and his general attitude.

"But a lot of these things are in the players' hands themselves. They kind of decide their own future in many respects and I think Djed is in that boat.

"I think there's an opportunity for him here, for sure. Thinking about building a squad, he would be definitely somebody who could [contribute] with the attributes he has. I thought last year there was a chance but it didn't quite work out. For those kind of things, I think sometimes players really wait for direction when they can really take control of their own direction."

He added: "Djed’s here. He is a Spurs player. He's a very good player who fits into our football and so it's as much about him as it is about me making a decision.

"As you see right now, he's been very good pre-season, he's been very good on the tour. He's impressed all the coaches, not just myself. For some of them it’s the first time they've worked with him and they've all been really impressed with him.

"Maybe he's learned a couple of things over the last couple of years about himself and hopefully we can sort of bear the fruit of that."

Spurs to move for Solanke

Tottenham are set to move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, according to a report in the Daily Express.

Solanke only signed a new contract at the Vitality Stadium last year, which the paper claims includes a £65m release clause, but it adds Spurs are interested with the future of Richarlison in doubt.

There have not been any formal bids made so far, it states, but adds Spurs are also looking to bring in a winger this summer.

'Juventus forward Chiesa not a Spurs summer transfer target'

Juventus forward Federico Chiesa is not a summer transfer target for Tottenham, according to the PA news agency.

The Italy international has been linked with a move to north London but reports that Spurs are set to make a move for the 26-year-old are wide of the mark.

While Tottenham remain keen to bolster their attacking options, Chiesa is not believed to be a target for the Premier League club.

Gil joins Girona on loan

Tottenham's Bryan Gil has joined LaLiga side Girona on loan for the 2024/25 season.

It follows previous loan spells in his native Spain with Valencia and Sevilla.

Pleat stepping back from Tottenham scouting duties

David Pleat is stepping back from his scouting duties at Tottenham after more than two decades of association with the club.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said: “I should like to thank David for his contribution over so many years and in so many ways.

"He had, and continues to have, an encyclopaedic knowledge of the game and players. I know he will continue to enjoy watching our games at all levels.”

Pleat became the club’s first Director of Football in January 1998 before leaving the role in May 2004.

He then returned once again in 2010 as part of the club’s scouting department.

The 79-year-old said: “Football is my life and continues to be. Spurs has been a huge part of that. However the game and its methods change and it’s time for me to now step back from my scouting role.

"I look forward to watching the club have great success in the coming years. I hope to continue my association with the game.”
