Liverpool consider Giorgi Mamardashvili options

Liverpool are stepping up their pursuit of Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The Valencia goalkeeper is said to be available for £30million, with the Reds considering how they would then develop the 23-year-old.

The Times report that Liverpool believe the asking price represents excellent value and are keen on a move, potentially loaning Mamardashvili back to Valencia for this season.

A loan to another club would also be considered, with Alisson certain to be Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper this season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth would be interested in signing Mamardashvili on loan.

However, while Liverpool have finalised personal terms with the Georgian, a fee has not been agreed with Valencia.

Tottenham wanted Conor Gallagher

Tottenham were pushing to sign Conor Gallagher before his move to Atletico Madrid was agreed, but the price tag proved an issue.

Chelsea have given the green light to a £33.7m switch to Atletico, though that is currently on hold as Atletico must sell first.

The Telegraph report that Ange Postecoglou wanted to sign Gallagher to go with Spurs’ swoop for Dominic Solanke, but Chelsea insisted they would not sell to them for less than £45m.

Bruno Fernandes agrees new Man United deal

Bruno Fernandes is expected to sign a new Manchester United contract today.

The club captain joined United in 2020 and has been one of their most reliable ever since, though there has been suggestions earlier this summer he would consider leaving.

However, Fabrizio Romano reports that Fernandes has agreed a new deal through to 2027, with the option to extend for a further year.

Conor Gallagher returns to London amid Joao Felix wait

Conor Gallagher is back in London and due in for Chelsea training today as his protracted transfer to Atletico Madrid stalls.

The England midfielder had been in Madrid and poised to complete his £33.7million move to Atletico, only for Samu Omorodion’s Chelsea switch to fall at the final hurdle.

Gallagher flew back to England last night, forced to head home while Chelsea and Atletico continue to work on solutions to complete his LaLiga move.

The 24-year-old is in limbo, with his Atletico switch hinging on whether Chelsea can instead strike a deal with the Madrid club to sign Joao Felix. Atletico need to raise funds through selling either Omorodion or Felix in order to ratify their deal for Gallagher, having signed Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez this week.

Gallagher is thought to be prepared to wait patiently while both Chelsea and Atletico try to thrash out a deal on Portugal forward Felix, that would then allow his move to Spain to go through.

Tottenham quartet to leave on loan

Tottenham are expected to loan out youngsters Alfie Devine, Ashley Phillips and Jamie Donley before the end of the month, but Mikey Moore will be part of Ange Postecoglou's squad this season, writes Dan Kilpatrick.

Moore signed his first professional contract on his 17th birthday on Sunday and will compete for first-team minutes following an impressive pre-season.

The England youth international made his senior debut against Manchester City in May and is considered an excellent prospect.

Devine, 20, Phillips and Donley, both 19, have also featured prominently during Spurs' summer friendlies but the club are looking for loan clubs for the trio to continue their development.

Brentford keen on Dara O'Shea

Brentford are pushing to wrap up a deal to sign Burnley’s Dara O’Shea.

The Republic of Ireland centre-back started for Burnley in their 4-1 win at Luton in their first game back in the Championship, but is now expected to return to the Premier League with the Bees.

Burnley signed O’Shea for £7million last summer, and Brentford are expected to pay more than that for the 25-year-old.

Brentford have made the exciting signing of Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool for £27.5m, but their move for Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste has hit the buffers.

Arsenal eye Joan Garcia as potential Aaron Ramsdale replacement

Arsenal are considering a move for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia.

The Gunners are in the market for a new back-up for David Raya as they prepare for the possible departure of Aaron Ramsdale.

Ajax are interested in Ramsdale and have reportedly had a loan bid rejected for the 26-year-old, with Arsenal preferring to offload him permanently.

Garcia, who featured in the Spain squad which won gold at the Olympics in Paris last week, has emerged as a possible target if Ramsdale goes. The 23-year-old made 18 appearances for Espanyol to help them win promotion from the Spanish second division last season.

Garcia is back training with Espanyol after the Olympics and a deal for him could prove difficult, though, as the LaLiga club are reluctant to let him go.

His current release clause stands at £21.4million clause but reports in Spain say that figure is due to increase to £25.7m on Thursday. It will reportedly rise again to £30m if he makes his senior debut for Spain.

Chelsea value Lukaku at around £40million, while Napoli have so far only offered £25m.

Man United set Jadon Sancho price

Manchester United are said to be demanding at least £51million for Jadon Sancho.

The winger is back in the first-team picture at United, having reached an agreement with Erik ten Hag, but his future at Old Trafford is still not certain.

According to RMC Sport, PSG have opened talks over a move, with Sancho keen on joining the French side.

However, United have made it clear they will not let the 24-year-old leave on the trip.

Man Utd and Chelsea in Ivan Toney stand-off

Ivan Toney is available for £60m this summer as Chelsea and Manchester United hatch similar plans.

Both Premier League clubs are not overly enamoured by the prospect of splashing out such a big fee on the 28-year-old, given his contract expires next year.

Instead, The Independent say they will wait until the end of the window before launching loan-to-buy offers.

Brentford are still described as in a relatively strong position given the sellers’ market that is this transfer window when it comes to strikers.

For example, Chelsea have struggled to put a package together for Victor Osimhen given his high wage demands.

Arsenal are out of the race and Tottenham have pretty much removed themselves by signing Dominic Solanke, it is claimed.
