Transfer news LIVE!
Arsenal are finally closing in on a deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna with a £42.1million transfer fee set to be agreed. The next step will be booking a medical with personal terms sealed. The Gunners will then turn their attention to signing Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad - although Chelsea are interested in the Spanish midfielder too.
The Blues have just made the signing of Caleb Wiley official and look to be trying to get Trevoh Chalobah out the door. Tottenham meanwhile have sold Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and want £60m for Richarlison amid interest from Saudi Arabia, while Jacob Ramsey is a possible arrival. Man City, though, are ready to enter the race for Eberechi Eze.
Manchester United are focused on landing a midfielder with Manuel Ugarte a top target and Youssouf Fofana now also on their radar, while talks for Matthijs de Ligt continue and Jonathan Tah has emerged as another option. Man City plot Eberechi Eze move
Eberechi Eze’s future at Crystal Palace remains in doubt.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham, with it suggested the Eagles will demand at least £70million.
However, The Guardian report that Man City are also interested and could rival Spurs for Eze’s signature.
They view Eze as a possible replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who has one year left on his current deal and is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Man United learn Jonathan Tah price
Manchester United have been told it will cost £33.5m to sign Jonathan Tah this summer.
It is believed that United are still on the hunt for a centre-back signing, despite already bringing in Leny Yoro.
Matthijs de Ligt has been linked, but United are unwilling to meet Bayern’s asking price as it stands.
Tah has emerged as an alternative option, with BILD reporting that Bayer Leverkusen would accept £33.5m for the 28-year-old.

David de Gea frustrated with Erik ten Hag
David de Gea would be open to a return to Manchester United - but only if Erik ten Hag leaves.
The Spaniard has been without a club since last summer, when he left United at the end of his contract.
According to The Athletic, De Gea is unhappy with how Ten Hag and John Murtough, then football director at United, treated him.
It’s claimed United are the only English club De Gea would consider playing for, but he would not do so under Ten Hag.

Chelsea plan for Andrey Santos
Chelsea still believe Andrey Santos’ long-term future is at the club.
The Blues will send the Brazilian on loan to Strasbourg this season, where he spent the second half of last season.
Fabrizio Romano reports that no buy options has been included in the deal, with Chelsea still seeing Santos as part of their plans. He will be part of the USA tour before returning to Strasbourg.

West Ham out of Jonathan David race
West Ham are no longer in the hunt to sign Lille striker Jonathan David.
That’s according to The Sun, with it reported that negotiations over agent fees have derailed the move.
While West Ham were willing to meet the £30m asking price for David, the demand for £10m in agent fees has led to them walking away.

Aston Villa keen on Joao Felix
Aston Villa are considering a surprise move for Joao Felix.
The forward spent last season on loan at Barcelona, having forced through a move away from Atletico Madrid, but the club are not expected to make that a permanent deal.
Sky Sports report that Villa are in the market for a player like Felix, with Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso also on the shortlist.

Arsenal lead race for Mikel Merino despite Chelsea interest
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Mikel Merino, despite Chelsea’s interest in hijacking the move.
San Sebastian newspaper Noticias de Gipuzkoa report on the Real Sociedad midfielder already having one foot out the door of the LaLiga club.
An official offer from the Gunners has not yet landed but is expected once Riccardo Calafiori’s arrival from Bologna is sealed.
La Real are said to be prepared to accept a cut-price sale due to Merino’s contract expiring in 2025 and previous reports indicate a valuation of around £20m.
Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also keen but Real Sociedad don’t want to sell two star players to Atleti, having already sanctioned Robin Le Normand’s move, and Barcelona may have to sell a first-choice player such as Frenkie de Jong to raise the required funds.
Interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea has been dismissed as remote, as has Merino’s chances of renewing. The ball, it seems, is in Arsenal’s court.

Man Utd discover Richard Rios transfer fee
Manchester United have learned the huge price tag on Richard Rios’ head.
The Colombia international has earned plenty of admiring glances for his displays at Copa America.
However, Rudy Galetti reports on Palmeiras wanting Rios’ full £84m release clause if he is to leave this summer.
The Brazilian club are said to want to keep Rios until at least the end of their season before cashing in on the 24-year-old, who is under contract for another two-and-a-half years.

Celtic update on Liverpool target
Brendan Rodgers has admitted that every player has their price amid interest in Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley.
The Hoops have reportedly turned down two bids from Atalanta for the 23-year-old Denmark international, who moved to Parkhead from MK Dons two-and-a-half years ago. Liverpool have also been linked with a £26million price tag reportedly set.
"Matt's been at the club for three years. He's developed into the player he has and he knows the privilege it is to play for Celtic,” he said. "Of course, naturally, how it works is the player gets that opportunity to move on.
"Celtic is a club where you can move on but you don't have to and it's a very difficult club to move on from. Naturally with the wages that are on offer for players, then that makes it a real challenge for Celtic to compete at that level.
"But what I've seen with Matt is he's a first-class professional. He's a really humble guy who's very devoted to his profession and he knows what he has here so we're all quite relaxed with it.
"Every player has a value but we see him as a really important player for us and whilst he is here, we'll continue to develop him and help him improve."
