Ange Postecoglou has been keen to develop a very young squad since he arrived at Tottenham, and Mikey Moore is the youngest player he has used to date.
Many expect the teenage talent to go on to do amazing things in his career, and the fact he is already a part of Tottenham’s first-team squad says a lot about just how special he is.

Mikey Moore’s position explained
Mikey Moore predominantly plays as a winger, most commonly on the left-hand side, where he is able to cut inside onto his preferred right foot.
He can also play out wide on the right, or through the middle in a number 10 playmaker role, if needed. The youngster has also played more directly as a striker in the past, but his best position is certainly out wide on either wing.

After being invited to train with the first-team squad back in April of 2023 Moore never looked back, impressing Postecoglou and earning his Premier League debut as a result.

Moore has developed through the ranks at Spurs via the academy and the youth teams. When it became clear he was ready for bigger things, Postecoglou kept Moore close to the senior squad at the end of last season, through the summer, and into this new campaign.
He made his senior debut for Spurs against Manchester City, with a one minute substitute appearance on May 14, 2024. Moore got another couple of minutes against Sheffield United on the final day of the 2023/24 season.
Moore had been prolific for the Tottenham Under-18s team, registering 25 goal contributions in just 14 games during the 2024/24 sesason. This term, he has moved up to the Under-21s team, but still frequents Postecoglou’s matchday squad — he even played the full 90 minutes of the Europa League win over Ferencvaros.
After his full debut, Postcoglou told Football.London how happy he was with his young star, saying: “He’s got so much growth and he wants to learn. I couldn’t be happier with him and I’m very pleased that he’s part of our football club.”
James Maddison has also been full of praise for his teammate, telling Football.London: “I have to sometimes pinch myself and remember how young he is. He’s 17 and came into the group when he was 16. He’s a man already. When I watch him play, he’s very powerful and only going to get stronger as his body grows.
“He’s a great kid. A really well-mannered, polite young man and that’s a credit to his parents. That’s the first thing you look to as a senior player. And then there’s that ability which we see in training all the time and the Spurs fans want to see more of.”

Mikey Moore was finally given his first value on Transfermarkt recently, though the site’s data claims he is worth just €1m (equivalent to £835,000).
Any Spurs fan will tell you Moore is worth far more than that. It’s hard to put an actual value on a young player like this, given that most of his price tag would be based on his immense potential.
Moore signed his first professional contract with Spurs upon turning 17 back on August 11, 2024. His exact wage is unknown but he is thought to have been offered more than any other player of his age at the club before (The Athletic).

Mikey Moore is 17-years-old, having been born on August 11, 2007. He was born in London, England, and was raised as a Tottenham fan.
He is 1.80m tall, and weighs 75kg. Generally speaking, Moore has quite a slight frame, but for his age, he is fairly robust.
Moore has an Instagram account with 100,000 followers, and a Twitter/X account with almost 30,000 followers. He is fairly active on both platforms.
Mikey Moore is an England star in the making
Just as he has done at club level, Mikey Moore has shot up through the different age groups for England, and currently turns out for the Under-19s squad.
He made his debut for the Under-15s in April 2022, but just four caps and four months later he was joining up with the Under-16s. Moore earned 15 caps at that level, scoring seven goals.
Moore enjoyed a terrific European Championships with the Under-17 side in May 2024, scoring four goals in four games and bagging an assist as the Three Lions made it to the quarter-finals.
He has since featured in the last five friendlies for the Under-19s across September and October, registering one goal and one assist.
