FULL-TIME

Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

It's all over and the points are shared after Beth England came to the rescue for Tottenham.

Rachel Daly thought she'd won it for her side late on but England had other ideas.

Aston Villa will feel they should have taken the points there.

Post

Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

Beth England is down and hurt. There's a lot of concern with her team-mates gathering around her immediately.

She's made of tough stuff and is back on her feet and hobbling towards the side of the pitch.

'Villa switched off'

I think Villa switched off for a second.

I think everyone thought from the Villa team it was gonna run out of play for a goal kick and snuck in just on the byline.

Great cross and great header from Beth England.

'Daley she loves the drama'

Rach Daley, she loves the drama and she loves stepping up to the plate when there are high stakes and she's got the quality to score the goal for her team which hopefully for them will be the winner and it's what they deserve.

I think Villa overall have been the better team, they just haven't created enough in the final third.

GOAL - Aston Villa 2-2 Tottenham

Beth England (95 mins)

Just as I said Tottenham have offered little to nothing going forward, up pops Beth England!

Just when her team needed her, England was there to drag her side level with a clever header at the near post. Brilliant stuff from the striker to surely save her side from defeat.

'She knew what she had to do'

She [Rachel Daly] knows where the goal is, she knew what she had to do.

It wasn't about the pace on it, just get a little bit on it to lift it over Spencer's head and that's exactly what she did.

Great finish by Rach Daly - a true striker.

GOAL - Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham

Rachel Daly (88 mins)

The captain to the rescue! You really feel for Becky Spencer, who looks in pain every time she moves and Rachel Daly capitalises on her lack of movement with a cheeky lofted header.

Aston Villa deserve the lead with all of the pushing forward they have done.

'She was already celebrating'

Aston Villa 1-1 Tottenham

Chloe Hudson-Jones

Ex-Leicester and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

She knew she'd scored as soon as the ball left her foot. She was already celebrating before the ball went into the back of the net.

That's the best piece of play we've seen from Aston Villa in the final third all day today.

GOAL - Aston Villa 1-1 Tottenham

Adriana Leon (78 mins)

Aston Villa have their equaliser! That is exactly what Villa boss Robert de Pauw wanted when he introduced Adriana Leon to the action.

The attacker found herself in space on the left and she brilliantly curled her finish around Becky Spencer and into the far corner.
