'The players have been stepping up'

Tottenham v Arsenal (13:45 GMT)

Arsenal

Arsenal interim boss Renee Slegers speaking to BBC: "We have been working together with others, mostly working together with the players. We had good foundations already but we have worked on taking ownership because in doing that you are more likely to put the hard work in and that is what the players have been doing.

"Trying to facilitate teamwork, bringing the best out of the players and identifying what is needed in each moment. Credit to the players again because they have been stepping up."

On Mariona's return: "She is a fantastic player. She is a winner, sh's won a lot of things. The way she plays, the way she trains, everything, her mindset, she wants to get all the details right. How good she is on the ball, the way she works off the ball, there are so many things to it. We are really happy she is fit again."

'Everything looks rosy at the minute'

Tottenham v Arsenal (13.45 GMT)

Leah Williamson and Arsenal seem to have turned a corner under interim boss Renee Slegers.

The Gunners appear to have transitioned seamlessly to the Dutchwoman's guidance, winning four and drawing one of her five games in charge.

"I'm trying to understand it myself ," Williamson said. "We are probably under the highest pressure because we haven't started how we needed to, so every game is a must-win game. Yet it feels very calm.

"Ultimately we go out every week to be better than the week before. We are doing great and everything looks rosy at the minute. We have had great results and we are working really hard."

'Those fans don't know Eidevall'

Tottenham v Arsenal (13.45 GMT)

It is not just Leah Williamson and her teammates that have been criticised this season, as former boss Jonas Eidevall came under fire before his departure.

'JONAS OUT' was graffitied on a brick wall opposite Emirates Stadium before the Gunners' 2-1 defeat by Chelsea and Eidevall's last game in charge.

The 41-year-old resigned after three years at the helm, leaving with just one win their opening four WSL games.

"It's difficult. We are all human beings and those fans don't know the person that he is," Williamson said.

'We are going to try and control it'

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn speaking to BBC: "Bravery is to dare to play our style against a really top opponent here in our main stadium. But also to make sure we are brave in duels, to make sure that we defend together and show the fans that we are going to do everything we can to win this game.

"It is not being afraid and going out hoping that it goes well. We are going to try and control it in and out of possession."

On Raso's return to the side: "We signed her because she is one of those players that like to be on the big stage and we missed her when she was gone. She had a few good minutes against Man City and she is now ready to start today."

On composure: "We need to be good in understading where we are and make sure we defend as a collective and take every duel we can to make sure we do not allow as many goals.

"We are going to focus a lot defensively today but also on how we can make sure we find opportunities to make goals and create chances."

Williamson in 'good place' after 'heavy' criticism

Tottenham v Arsenal (13.45 GMT)

Arsenal and England defender Leah Williamson says she is "in a good place" after social media criticism that has been "a bit heavy" at times this season.

The 27-year-old, who only returned from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in January, was under scrutiny after struggling for form at the start of the campaign.

Williamson played in England's friendlies against Germany and South Africa in October and scored a brilliant goal in the latter, but also made an error that led to a goal in both games.

"I feel like for the first time I am in a place where I feel like a real footballer again. I can train every day, I can train at the weekend," she said.

"I've not had the best luck in the world and that's OK, that's life. It's the first time I'm in a good place. I love football, I love going to training, I love playing.

"If I listened to what everyone said, I wouldn't enjoy it."
