Description

Tottenham have been doing groundwork on a deal to sign Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling in the summer transfer window, GIVEMESPORT sources have confirmed.

Dibling is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season in the Premier League, despite Southampton struggling, sitting bottom of the table. The England youth international has undoubtedly shown signs of inconsistency, but the huge potential is clear for everyone to see.

If Southampton are relegated to the Championship, which is now looking increasingly likely, there is set to be a competitive race to secure the signature of Dibling. Tottenham are one of the sides who admire Dibling, and they could be looking to get ahead of other clubs showing an interest.

Tottenham Doing Groundwork for Dibling Signing

Spurs looking to make a splash in the summer

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Tottenham are doing groundwork on a deal to bring Dibling to north London in the summer transfer window. Spurs are looking to 'make a splash' in the summer after a disappointing season, with Dibling eyed as one of their key targets.

Tottenham's transfer strategy over the last few years has been to target young, up-and-coming talent from around the world, and Dibling would certainly fit into that category. Dibling has also gained some valuable experience in senior football this season, so he's more than just a player with potential for the future.

Reports in the January transfer window suggested that Southampton wouldn't entertain offers less than £55m, but it will be interesting to see whether their stance changes in the summer. Dibling, described as 'one of the best talents around' by Fabrizio Romano, speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, will likely wasn't to be plying his trade at the highest level considering the impact he's made for the Saints this term, so there's a chance he seeks a fresh challenge when the window opens if they are relegated to the Championship.

Description

Aston Villa could make a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma in the summer transfer window, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

It could be a busy summer for Spurs as they look to revamp their squad following a disappointing Premier League campaign. As a result, several players could be shown the exit door, with Bissouma among those Tottenham would be willing to offload.

Unai Emery and his recruitment team will be in the market for new additions as they aim to take the next step in their progress. The Midlands club secured Champions League qualification last season and have reached the quarter-finals of European competition this term. However, they will be determined to avoid stagnation as they look to establish themselves as regular contenders for European football.

Aston Villa Could Move for Yves Bissouma

The Tottenham midfielder has offers from France

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Aston Villa could make a move for Bissouma in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Malian midfielder also has offers to return to France, where he previously enjoyed success in Ligue 1 before moving to England.

GIVEMESPORT has previously reported that Tottenham are increasingly likely to sell Bissouma this summer, with the midfielder’s contract set to expire next year. The 28-year-old, who earns around £100,000 per week at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, has struggled with injury problems during his time at Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou growing increasingly frustrated.

Bissouma, who has been described as “ridiculous” by team-mate James Maddison, has shown inconsistency this season. However, Emery has already demonstrated his ability to revive struggling players. Both Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, who were going through difficult periods at their respective clubs, have flourished at Villa after arriving in the January transfer window.

Summer Transfer Window: Man Utd, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle Plans Revealed - GIVEMESPORT
Description

With two months remaining in the 2024/25 season, Premier League clubs are already laying the groundwork for a pivotal summer transfer window. Squads will be reshaped, weaknesses addressed, and ambitions set for the next campaign.

Here is an early look at how sources are starting to see the top flight's biggest clubs approaching the market…

Manchester United

This is the first summer window where the new INEOS ownership can put careful planning and preparation into their transfers at Manchester United, after last year’s efforts were done on a tight timeline.

The first priority will be to offload players they no longer want. There are plenty of them. They hope for Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia to complete permanent moves away, while Rashford’s form at Aston Villa may prompt them to raise his asking price as well.

Manchester United are seeking a buyer for Casemiro, while Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, and Tom Heaton are set to leave as free agents. End-of-season decisions will be made on Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana to determine whether they stay, as the Red Devils are seriously considering signing a new striker and goalkeeper.

A centre-back is still a priority, as they are one body short of options, while they also need a wing-back to compete with Diogo Dalot following their Quenda disaster. Roger Fernandes - of Braga - has been suggested as an alternative, but they continue to search for players and believe they will bounce back from Chelsea’s hijack of the Quenda deal.

Sources say relations remain workable with Sporting despite that secret Quenda deal, which could open the door to players like Trincao, Morten Hjulmand, or Gyokeres.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim wants to sign at least one midfielder, but a goalscorer is seen as the priority. Osimhen, Delap, Aghehowa, and the £315,000-a-week Vlahovic - who has been described as "world-class" - are among the early options.

Arsenal

Figures around Arsenal remain convinced they are on the right track for major silverware and that they have a team being built to remain competitive for years to come under boss Mikel Arteta. Missing out on the Premier League title is only a slight setback in terms of how they approach the summer, as they have had time to come to terms with the situation.

The Gunners have new sporting director Andrea Berta overseeing the incomings, and early indications show that he is intent on signing Matheus Cunha and Zubimendi - from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Real Sociedad respectively - in particular. The creativity and goal threat of Cunha is needed, and the north Londoners will assess offers for Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard in the summer as part of their considerations regarding wide attacking options.

Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams and Rafael Leao, of AC Milan, have been mooted as possible additions but seem unlikely. It is the goalscoring threat that Arsenal fans really want to see fixed and, by the end of the season, they will have a clearer view on whether there is any chance of landing their top target, Isak, from Newcastle. If that is not possible, Sesko and Sporting frontman Viktor Gyokeres will be considered.

Overall, sources indicate that a goalkeeper, left-back, central midfielder, wide attacker, and striker are the primary positions Arsenal will target in the summer window. It has been suggested that seven deals could even be plausible if they go on a significant spending spree.

An ambitious target could be Isak's Newcastle teammate Bruno Guimaraes, while Juventus marksman Dusan Vlahovic is an outside option as a forward, and there is a proposal to sign midfielder Sverre Halseth Nypan from Rosenborg. A likely signing is goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol, while Hato continues to be tracked.

Chelsea

No-one loves a transfer window quite like Chelsea, and it will be another window of tapping into the world’s best teenage talent while balancing that with some top-tier box-ready stars.

Their early move for Sporting's Geovany Quenda underlines their aggressive strategy to sign players they see as era-defining.

However, we are also likely to see a handful of outfield first-team signings. The two priority areas are expected to be centre-back and striker, as the club seeks a consistent, reliable goalscorer.

At the back, it is anticipated that Chelsea will head the queue to secure Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, though other names are still being explored by head coach Enzo Maresca and recruitment chiefs.

The striker signing should be the highlight of the summer, but the level of the addition will depend on whether they secure Champions League football. At the top end, the likes of Galatasaray loanee Victor Osimhen and Gyokeres are under consideration, but the Blues are also interested in Ipswich Town goal-getter Liam Delap and Porto's Samu Aghehowa.

Chelsea will have to make a decision on completing their deal for Jadon Sancho and are likely to go through with it rather than send him back to Manchester United and pay a penalty.

There is potential for both a left-back and central midfielder, with player exits likely to lead to the significance of such additions.

A big decision rests on whether to sign another goalkeeper, as they still do not have a trusted No.1 despite having 10 shot-stoppers on their books.

Manchester City

Manchester City’s next transfer window is about reclaiming their edge. Money is not going to be a problem - the Sky Blues have a substantial budget to work with.

Our early understanding of their planning suggests that they will be targeting full-backs, a central midfielder, and another wide attacking option.

The level of these signings could depend on departures, with key decisions having to be made on Jack Grealish, John Stones, and Bernardo Silva. Kyle Walker is set to leave permanently, and it is increasingly likely that Kevin De Bruyne will too. A new goalkeeper might also be on the cards, as it is possible Ederson could leave.

An ideal transfer window could see two full-backs arrive, with Jeremie Frimpong, Ola Aina, and Andrea Cambiaso - of Bayer Leverkusen, Nottingham Forest and Juventus respectively - all under consideration. Newcastle's Guimaraes, Atalanta's Ederson, and Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton are midfield options, and an exciting prospect like Sporting's Francisco Trincao could be added to the attack.

Manchester City have also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz but, at present, it seems unlikely as they expect him to either remain in Germany or move to Real Madrid instead.

Pep Guardiola and the club’s hierarchy remain resolute that their project is far from derailed, but there is an acknowledgment that this season - marred by injuries, inconsistent form, and a lack of depth in key areas - requires a decisive response.

Newcastle United

Victory in the Carabao Cup final opens up new opportunities for Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe, but there are still challenges to overcome.

The main priorities will be to sign the right-sided attacker they have been seeking, along with a new centre forward to replace Callum Wilson.

Attacking names in the frame for the flank include PSV Eindhoven's Johan Bakayoko and Chelsea's Noni Madueke, while Strasbourg frontman Emanuel Emegha and FC Nordsjaelland striker Sindre Walle Egeli are forwards that could fit the bill. Links to Hugo Ekitike, at Eintracht Frankfurt, have never completely disappeared either.

If Newcastle look to become more adventurous, they would also seek a more creative midfielder in the mould of Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, although they would face challenges in signing him.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Morgan Gibbs-White has been averaging 1.7 shots and as many key passes per Premier League outing this season

For now, we expect them to hold onto Isak, but there are no guarantees. Liverpool are interested, and Barcelona are now being linked, following his impressive season. One situation Newcastle need to address is that his current wages are relatively low for one of the top-performing forwards in the Premier League, and given his lofty ambitions, they will need to offer him a more lucrative deal.

In defence, they have missed Sven Botman for many games, and they may consider adding to their backline in case there are further issues with his knee injury. Depth is becoming a concern, as their first-choice line-up is among the strongest in the division. There is also the potential for them to look at goalkeepers.

Aston Villa

The January transfer window showed how Aston Villa are adept at rehabilitating underperforming players, and they could look to repeat that strategy this summer.

Loan deals for Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford could be turned into permanent moves, with boss Unai Emery believed to have already instructed club bosses to push ahead with securing the former from Paris Saint-Germain.

Aston Villa are eyeing other players who could hit higher levels if given a significant opportunity, with Atalanta's Ademola Lookman and AC Milan loanee Tammy Abraham among the names being considered.

There is also a chance they could move for Yves Bissouma, although the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has offers to return to France.

Exciting young talent is always of interest, and the Villans may land a player like Jamie Gittens, Tyler Dibling or Nypan from Borussia Dortmund, Southampton or Rosenborg respectively.

One of the more unlikely rumours of late involves Real Betis attacking midfielder Isco. He is a top name, but the likelihood of this move is in some doubt.

Aston Villa have really missed the goal contributions of Jhon Duran since his move to Saudi Arabia, and they are expected to look for a new striker this summer. Two early links are contrasting in age and experience - 20-year-old Aghehowa of Porto and 27-year-old Abraham. Vlahovic could also become a tempting option at a bargain price.

Tottenham Hotspur

The summer transfer market seems a long way off for Tottenham fans, who are currently embroiled in discussions over whether Ange Postecoglou will remain as the man in charge of any new signings.

Spurs are looking to make a splash in the summer and already have deals earmarked for both Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso, following the conclusion of their loans from Bayern Munich and Lens respectively.

However, Postecoglou’s job is not guaranteed - he needs to secure Europa League or Champions League football to meet the requirements set for him.

In recent months, the club has been doing groundwork on deals for a host of players, including a free deal for Lille midfielder Angel Gomes, a bargain deal for Real Betis' Johnny Cardoso, and potential moves for Gittens and Dibling.

The sales of Bissouma, Richarlison, Manor Solomon, Bryan Gil, and Alejo Veliz could open up funds, while there are big decisions ahead on whether to cash in on stars like Heung-min Son or Cristian Romero.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has faced criticism in the past for not spending enough to get the club to the level they aspire to, but there are encouraging whispers within the game that this summer’s spend will be significant.

One of the most interesting situations will revolve around whether they decide to sign another top centre forward. There is serious thought being given to whether they need better back-up and competition for Dominic Solanke.

Liverpool

Arne Slot's Liverpool may be closing in on the Premier League title, but significant changes are on the horizon, regardless of whether key figures like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold stay or go. This will be a summer of reconstruction.

In the goalkeeping department, the departure of Caoimhin Kelleher seems increasingly likely as he seeks regular minutes elsewhere. While Alisson Becker’s name has been mentioned in some speculative discussions, it remains difficult to imagine the Reds sanctioning his exit. However, a new back-up shot-stopper will likely be needed.

The defensive unit is set for reinforcements. A new centre-back is a priority, but the full-back positions are another major area of focus, with Liverpool actively scouting options. Milos Kerkez looks increasingly likely to join from Bournemouth, but versatile defenders like Jorrel Hato and David Hancko - of Ajax and Feyenoord respectively - have also been under consideration, as well as Fulham's Antonee Robinson.

Midfield saw a major overhaul last summer, but the one missing piece - a true defensive midfielder - was never properly addressed. That will almost certainly change this time. Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carlos Baleba are both emerging as potential solutions, while Martin Zubimendi’s name continues to crop up despite his pending move to Arsenal from Real Sociedad.

The biggest shake-up could come in attack. Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota both face uncertain futures, while Darwin Nunez is likely to move on and Federico Chiesa may seal a quickfire exit.

Newcastle United marksman Alexander Isak and RB Leipzig frontman Benjamin Sesko are among the exciting names being monitored for the striker role, while Lyon talisman Rayan Cherki and Real Madrid's Rodrygo could emerge as creative additions.

Tottenham Could Have 'Advantage' in Race to Sign 'Magician'

Tottenham Could Have 'Advantage' in Race to Sign 'Magician' - GIVEMESPORT
Description

Tottenham have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Lille star Angel Gomes, with the player not expected to consider European football a deal-breaker in his career decision, Ben Jacobs has exclusively told GIVEMESPORT.

Spurs are eager to rejuvenate their squad after a dismal 2024/25 campaign that has seen them currently languishing in 14th in the Premier League table. Having been knocked out of all cup competitions bar the Europa League, plans for next season are underway, amid doubts regarding the future of their midfield.

Jacobs: Tottenham Given 'Advantage' in Race for Lille Ace Gomes

The midfielder is yet to shut down a move to the North Londoners

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs provided the latest update on Spurs' pursuit of Gomes, who is set to be a free agent at the end of the season as things stand. He said:

"Tottenham are interested as well, and the player, by all accounts, isn't going to make his decision solely based on who does or doesn't have European football, which means that if Tottenham don't get any European football next season, it may not put Gomes off, and I'm told that he's relatively keen on returning to England as well, so that could give spurs an advantage."

Previously dubbed a "magician", Gomes has already informed his employers of his intention to leave this summer following his contract's expiry. The 24-year-old has played a less prominent first-team role this term given his imminent departure, but last season saw him shine with a goal and a team-leading ten assists in all competitions.

Yves Bissouma could be on his way out this summer, while James Maddison has seemingly fallen down boss Ange Postecoglou's pecking order, which could force the Englishman to consider an exit as well. It leaves Spurs overly thin in the midfield department - an issue which Gomes could solve.

The Red Devils are also in the race for the player too however, as are West Ham and Aston Villa. Tottenham securing Champions League qualification by winning the Europa League this season would bolster their chances of landing Gomes, otherwise they may face a struggle fending off outside interest.

Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign £50m 'Superstar' in Summer - GIVEMESPORT
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in signing Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Branthwaite has been the subject of heavy interest since bursting onto the scene at Goodison Park. The young defender has quickly developed into one of the most exciting young talents in world football, becoming a key player for Everton despite his age.

After a disappointing season, Spurs could be busy in the summer transfer window. Ange Postecoglou's side are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League and have been knocked out of all domestic cup competitions, so Daniel Levy might be forced to dip into his pocket for reinforcements.

Tottenham Eyeing Jarrad Branthwaite This Summer

Could cost over £50m

Reports have suggested that Tottenham are one of the sides showing an interest in signing Everton's Branthwaite in the summer transfer window. The England international is attracting plenty of interest considering the performances he's produced over the last few years for the Toffees.

Branthwaite, labelled as a 'superstar', is reportedly keen to be playing European football ahead of the 2025/2026 season. Although Tottenham stand little chance of qualifying through their league position, they can via the Europa League if they win the competition.

Postecoglou's side are preparing to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-final, which is an opportunity for the north London club to save their season. Qualifying for European football will likely be crucial for attracting players, not just Branthwaite, in the summer transfer window.

Branthwaite is a left-sided centre-back, meaning he would likely be competing with Micky Van de Ven if he joined Tottenham. The 22-year-old will have to consider whether he's capable of cementing a regular starting place in Postecoglou's side considering the competition, and he will likely want reassurances to join the north London outfit.

Tottenham Takeover by Qatari Group Now 'More Likely'

Tottenham Takeover by Qatari Group Now 'More Likely' - GIVEMESPORT
Description

Tottenham Hotspur being taken over by a Qatari group is now one of the most likely options, finance expert Dan Plumley has told Tottenham Hotspur News.

Spurs have been linked with a takeover many times in recent years, with Amanda Staveley revealing her interest after leaving Newcastle United.

After failing with a takeover of Manchester United, Sheikh Jassim is another name that has been linked with Tottenham, while reports last month suggested that a separate group of Qatari investors are interested and ready to keep Daniel Levy if they are successful.

Tottenham Fans Are Not Happy With ENIC

A large protest was held last month against Spurs' owners

ENIC have been in charge at Tottenham since December 2000, with Joe Lewis and chairman Daniel Levy two key names of the organisation.

While Tottenham fans can't complain about the infrastructure of the club given they have one of the best stadiums in Europe, results and success on the pitch haven't matched it.

Spurs haven't won a trophy since the 2008 Carabao Cup final, and how the team is performing this season hasn't helped either with Ange Postecoglou's men struggling in the lower reaches of the Premier League table as we approach April.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Tottenham Hotspur have lost 15 of their 29 Premier League matches this season and lie 14th in the table.

A Tottenham fan group held a protest before the match against Manchester United last month, with more than 1,000 attending who made their feelings known to Lewis and Levy with banners and chants as they hope to secure new owners.

Levy and Lewis are renowned tough negotiators and asked if takeover negotiations for any interested parties would likely be difficult, Plumley told Tottenham Hotspur News:

“I think that’s a fair assumption, we’ve seen that in the past with Spurs, haven’t we?

“I’m led to believe that the Qatar deal is probably one of the more likely ones, but we know there have been others looking at them. I think, as always, it comes down to valuation and negotiation.

“Given everything that Spurs have done off the pitch in recent years – the new stadium, the NFL deal and the F1 deal, and everything we spoke about – you are going to be holding out for the ultimate top end of your price range."

Sheikh Jassim Had Three-Day Plan to Fix Manchester United

It was called 'Project Ruby'

With financial cuts and things on the pitch not improving, some Manchester United fans may wish that Sheikh Jassim was successful with his takeover bid rather than Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Mail reported late in 2024 that Jassim had a plan to transform United in just three days, which included building a new stadium in double quick time, hiring staff rather than firing them and ensuring the club had no further debt.

While Tottenham don't need a new stadium, the clear investment that Qatari bidders could bring on and off the pitch is surely an attractive proposition.

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Mainz striker Jonathan Burkardt ahead of the summer transfer window, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

The Lilywhites are reportedly among several Premier League clubs that have scouted the German international, who has enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga.

Only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick have outscored Burkardt in the league this term, with the striker netting 15 goals in just 22 appearances to help Mainz sit third in the table.

Tottenham Eyeing Jonathan Burkardt

Among Premier League sides keen on the 24-year-old

Tottenham invested significantly in their frontline last summer, signing Dominic Solanke for a club-record £65m, along with promising starlet Wilson Odobert for another £30m.

However, the two forwards have combined for just seven Premier League goals this season and have endured injury-hit campaigns, making another striker a necessity for Ange Postecoglou this summer.

According to Bailey, Tottenham see Burkardt as someone who could compete with Solanke for a starting place next season, though they face competition from several Premier League clubs for the 24-year-old.

Brighton, West Ham and even Manchester United have reportedly scouted the German international this season, while Mainz remain in a strong negotiating position.

Burkardt, praised as a ‘machine’, has over two years remaining on his contract, which expires in June 2026, after signing a new extension last year.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Burkardt has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances for Mainz this season.

Tottenham are at risk of finishing outside the Premier League top 10 for the first time since the 2007/08 season, as they sit 14th in the table with nine games remaining.

The Lilywhites next face Chelsea away from home after the international break.

Exclusive: Tottenham 'Interested' in Signing 'Next-Level' £50m Brazil Star - GIVEMESPORT
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are contemplating whether to launch a bid for Joao Gomes when the transfer window reopens for business in the summer as the Wolverhampton Wanderers star has stayed on the radar of Hotspur Way recruitment chiefs for close to 12 months, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Spurs will already have to spend £20.9million on Kevin Danso, due to having an obligation to buy the central defender at the end of his loan spell from Lens, but boss Ange Postecoglou is working closely with technical director Johan Lange and chairman Daniel Levy to identify further potential acquisitions.

The north Londoners worked all the way up until the winter deadline in an attempt to improve their squad, with Mathys Tel joining in a last-gasp temporary deal which includes a £45million option to become permanent, but remaining in the bottom half of the Premier League has resulted in there being a desire to welcome more fresh faces ahead of next term.

Spurs Remain Long-Term Admirers of Gomes

North Londoners would have to pay hefty fee to have chance of deal

Tottenham are interested in winning the race to sign Gomes in the summer, according to GMS sources, but there is an awareness that domestic counterparts Wolves are desperate to keep him on board and will only entertain sanctioning his departure if a lucrative fee which meets their demands is tabled.

The central midfielder still has three years remaining on his £30,000-per-week contract, which threatens to complicate matters for Spurs as it has left his current employers in a strong negotiating position, but they are keeping tabs on his situation ahead of having an opportunity to enter discussions when the transfer window reopens.

GMS sources have been informed that Tottenham's desire to land Gomes stretches back to last summer and their admiration has not faltered despite it becoming clear that they will have to pay a minimum of £50million in order to tempt Wolves into cashing in after he has remained a key member of their squad this season.

The Brazil international, who has been described as a 'next level' talent thanks to his performances, has been pinpointed by Postecoglou and other influential figures behind the scenes as an attractive option because he already has bags of Premier League experience due to his time at Molineux.

Tottenham are in danger of facing stiff competition for Gomes if they up the ante in their pursuit as title-chasing Liverpool are also keen, GMS sources have learned, while Manchester United have been admirers as they look to bring in long-term replacements for Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Joao Gomes won eight ground duels and made six tackles during Wolverhampton Wanderers' victory at Southampton last weekend

Pursuit of Gomes Could Have Complications

Midfielder unlikely to be sold in same window as teammate Cunha

GMS sources have been told that Tottenham's attempts to recruit Gomes could be complicated further if Wolves allow Matheus Cunha to embark on a fresh challenge as the West Midlands outfit are determined to avoid a situation where they see both key men head through the exit door in the same transfer window.

The 24-year-old Spurs target has been at Molineux since a £15million fee was agreed with Flamengo in January 2023 and, having made himself one of the first names on the team sheet, Wanderers do not want to be left with an uphill task to find a host of replacements ahead of Pereira's first full season in charge.

Wolves are prepared to fight to retain Gomes' services and remain sceptical of whether serious bids will be lodged, GMS sources understand, but Tottenham are circling as they search for ways to improve their options in the middle of the park after finding themselves adrift of the European qualification spots.

GMS sources recently revealed that Spurs are increasingly likely to sell Yves Bissouma in the summer, when he is on course to enter the final 12 months of his contract, and the South American could be viewed by members of the capital club's recruitment department as an upgrade.

Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in a summer move for Leeds United starlet Harry Gray, the younger brother of Archie Gray, according to TBR Football.

The Lilywhites are reportedly among several Premier League clubs considering an offseason swoop for the ‘incredibly talented’ 16-year-old forward.

Leeds are unable to offer Gray a long-term contract as he does not turn 17 until October, but the club remain confident of retaining the England U17 international.

Gray has been training with Leeds’ first-team squad this season but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Premier League promotion chasers.

Spurs Keen on Archie Gray’s Brother

Premier League clubs chasing Harry Gray

According to TBR Football, Leeds face a summer battle to keep Gray, with at least three Premier League clubs showing interest in the teenager.

Tottenham could face competition from North London rivals Arsenal and Carabao Cup winners Newcastle United, with both clubs keen on securing the centre-forward.

However, the Lilywhites are believed to have an advantage in the race, as Gray, praised as 'ridiculous', reportedly wants to play for the same club as his brother Archie, who joined Spurs from Leeds on a six-year deal last summer.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Gray has made six appearances in Premier League 2 this season, scoring two goals.

Tottenham are preparing for a busy summer window amid their disappointing domestic campaign, with the club set to finish outside the top 10 for the first time since the 2007/08 season.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Spurs are targeting several exciting additions to their first-team squad, including River Plate star Franco Mastantuono.

The North London club have reportedly already entered discussions over a move for the Argentinian starlet, who has a release clause in the region of £38m.

Exclusive: Levy in Constant Contact With 'World-Class' Manager Amid Postecoglou Update - GIVEMESPORT
Description

It was never going to be straightforward for Ange Postecoglou to succeed at Tottenham Hotspur, and this international break is a chance for him to draw up a plan that saves his job.

A man who craves respect, who has fought his way up through coaching pathways that many football figures still seem to look down upon, is staring down the barrel of an end-of-season review.

It feels like his future will hinge on winning the Europa League at this point. But even then, Spurs’ decision-makers have to be sure it would be the right decision to move ahead with him.

Postecoglou May Even Face Sack with Trophy

Unconvincing performances and results leading to uncertainty

When it comes to Postecoglou's future at Tottenham, this is not just about results - though 15 defeats so far and the very real prospect of finishing with 20 Premier League losses by the end of the season is pretty damning. It is also about perception, belief and whether Spurs truly see him as the man to take them forward.

Fulham’s relegation in 2021 came with 20 losses. Burnley were beaten 17 times when they went down in 2022. Of course, the north Londoners are not in a relegation battle, but those numbers paint a grim picture of how this season might be remembered if he fails to win more games in the end-of-season run-in.

The reaction to the meek surrender at Craven Cottage was telling last weekend. It was not just another bad day at the office, it felt like a reflection of everything that is wrong - especially when Postecoglou then got caught up in a confrontation with a supporter. It is not the first time his emotions have spilled over.

This all feeds into the uncertainty surrounding his future. The Europa League might be his saving grace, but there is a growing feeling that even that might not be enough if he wins it. Not if Tottenham limp to the trophy in a manner that fails to convince, anyway. And not if performances remain erratic.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Ange Postecoglou has guided Tottenham Hotspur to 42 wins from his 87 matches in charge

Eventual Pochettino Return Seems Inevitable

It is also interesting that while Postecoglou’s situation is spiralling, Mauricio Pochettino is hiding in plain sight. There is talk of Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva being potential candidates for the job, but the idea of Pochettino returning to Spurs has lingered ever since he left. It has never truly gone away.

The "world-class" coach remains friendly with chairman Daniel Levy, and the truth is that their contact never really stopped. Sources have long suggested that bridges were never fully burned. In hindsight, many believe he should have taken a short break back then and returned straight back to Tottenham. Instead, he was tempted elsewhere in club football, and now he is leading the US Men’s National Team.

The timing for a return would be problematic. Pochettino has been entrusted with leading the USMNT into a home World Cup - but results have not been great. He is having a tough time himself, in fact, and a late 1-0 defeat to Panama in the Concacaf Nations League semi-final on Thursday night was another blow.

The encounter took place in front of tens of thousands of empty seats in Los Angeles and lacked the energy and desire that should be building under his leadership. The team lacks identity and the project is yet to capture the public’s imagination. Would he walk away from that responsibility already? It’s difficult to see. But eventually? That Spurs reunion feels inevitable.

Pochettino’s job is to build momentum towards a World Cup on home soil but this weekend, as he faces a third-placed play-off against Canada, there is growing concern across the Atlantic as to whether this job suits him.

Pochettino has not been shy to talk about returning to Tottenham when asked about the prospect - and we might yet see such speculation grow.

Paratici Linked with Sealing AC Milan Switch

Transfer guru could attempt to take Spurs stars with him to San Siro

Meanwhile, if the future is uncertain in the Tottenham dugout, it is also shifting behind the scenes. Fabio Paratici, the transfer guru who has continued to help Spurs from the shadows, is being linked to join AC Milan.

The north Londoners have considered bringing him back in an official role, we understand. But, instead, they may now find themselves negotiating with him on the other side of the table.

Don't be surprised if AC Milan were to start sniffing around for Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski in the summer if such a scenario comes to fruition.

After this international break, all roads lead to the Europa League for Tottenham. It’s not just about silverware, it is also about Champions League football, recruitment, and credibility. It is about giving Postecoglou a chance to prove that his second-season trophy habit can translate to the highest level.

Lose, and the writing may already be on the wall. Win, and the decision gets a little more complicated.
