Tottenham look to have decided on their next manager after sacking Thomas Frank, who left Spurs languishing just five points above the Premier League relegation zone

Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with ex-Juventus manager Igor Tudor, who is set to sign a deal until the end of this season. Spurs will wait until the summer to decide on a permanent replacement for Thomas Frank - when former boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be more attainable.

Frank was relieved of his duties on Wednesday off the back of Tottenham's dismal 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle. The result means that Spurs are only five points clear of the relegation zone with 12 games remaining.

Tottenham are still in the Champions League, though, and secured automatic qualification to the last 16 last month by finishing fourth in the table. Frank's success in Europe wasn't enough to keep him in a job, with Spurs having one just two of their last 17 Premier League games.

Tottenham want a coach with a track record of making an immediate impact and that man is set to be Tudor, with a deal on the table until June. The Croatian would then make his case to get the job permanently between now and the end of the campaign.

Tudor has experience of being an interim from his time at Juventus, who hired him last March. The 47-year-old convinced Juve to keep him on and was handed a three-year contract, only to be sacked in October..

Having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, Spurs' first-team players won't be back in training until Monday. Tottenham's next game is the small matter of the North London derby at home to Arsenal.

Fans chanted Pochettino's name during the Newcastle loss and reports that Tudor would only be an interim plays into his hands. Due to being in charge of World Cup co-hosts the USA, the ex-Spurs manager would only be open to an emotion return to North London after this summer's tournament takes place.

Tottenham persisted with Frank after a woeful winter but their failure to win a Premier League game since December spelled the end for the Dane. "The club has taken the decision to make a change in the men's head coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today," Spurs said in a statement.

"Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together. However, results and performances have led the board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.

"Throughout his time at the club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."

Oliver Glasner refuses to hide feelings as Crystal Palace boss asked about Tottenham job - The Mirror
Description

Oliver Glasner refused to answer questions about the Tottenham manager job during a press conference following Crystal Palace's defeat to Burnley

Oliver Glasner was left furious after a reporter questioned him about the Tottenham Hotspur job. The 51-year-old has been touted as a potential successor to the recently dismissed Thomas Frank.

The Crystal Palace boss has previously been linked with the Manchester United job, speculation which intensified when he declared his plans to depart Selhurst Park at the season's end. As it stands, the Austrian intends to stay put until the campaign concludes.

Despite making this known, he continues to field questions about reports connecting him to other roles. While these questions likely irritate him at the best of times, he was astounded when a reporter asked him about replacing Frank, straight after Palace's disappointing home loss to Burnley.

A double from January recruit Jorgen Strand Larsen seemed to set the Eagles on course for back-to-back victories. However, a chaotic eight-minute spell saw Hannibal Mejbri and Jaidon Anthony score for the Clarets, before Jefferson Lerma netted an own goal just before the break.

Palace failed to bounce back from their first-half collapse and ultimately lost the match. In the post-match press conference, a journalist posed a question to Glasner about the Tottenham job.

Rather than delivering a verbal rebuke, a "furious" Glasner shot the questioner "a stern look" before "shaking his head," in disgust. He then refused to address the question regarding the Spurs vacancy.

Given how Palace surrendered their advantage against Scott Parker's team, the enquiry only intensified his frustration. Palace are languishing in 13th position on 32 points, but having occupied European qualification spots before Christmas, it represents a dramatic decline.

Whilst he declined to discuss the Spurs position, he did respond to a question about whether his decision to depart at the season's end is affecting his squad. He said: "I will not question their [the players] character, because I mention it so often, and I know them.

"It's a good, fantastic group of players, awesome. Awesome to work with them but it happened a few times. Then we get nervous, and we lose the structure and the second half at Nottingham, one player up, we have to win now, we have to win now.

"And then we get nervous, making mistakes, wrong decisions. We all know this when you're not calm, when you're not in your balance, you don't make good decisions.

"There could be many excuses, but I don't have. With excuses, maybe we can explain it, with what you are telling. But in the end, it is a huge missed chance to come closer to the midfield."

Following their FA Cup exit at the hands of Macclesfield, Palace's next fixture arrives on Thursday February 19 when they face Zrinjski in the Europa Conference League.

Erling Haaland had kind words to say about Tottenham's potential managerial appointment

Erling Haaland has given Tottenham fans a glimpse of what they might expect if Marco Rose is named as the new manager of the Premier League club. Spurs are on the hunt for a new head coach following the dismissal of Thomas Frank on Wednesday.

The Danish manager's tenure was marked by a disappointing run of just two victories in 17 league matches, with a 2-1 home loss to Newcastle on Tuesday proving to be the final straw.

Whether Tottenham will opt for an interim or permanent head coach ahead of the North London Derby later this month remains uncertain, but Rose, 49, has emerged as the favourite among bookmakers to take over the helm.

Haaland, who played under Rose at Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, has previously commented on the physically demanding nature of Rose's style of play during his stint in Germany.

Upon Rose's appointment as Dortmund boss in 2021, Haaland told Stadium Astro: "I talked a little bit with him. I know him from before because I had six months with him in Salzburg. He's a nice guy and I look forward to working with him.

"The training is so hard here, so it's exactly the same as it was in Salzburg, a lot of hard training and there is going to be a lot of running. That's what I expect the tactic to be to press a lot, run a lot and attack a lot. Now we have to have a good pre-season and have to get to know each other and we will see."

Rose has been out of work for nearly 12 months following his dismissal from RB Leipzig in March 2025. Whilst at the German outfit, he oversaw Tottenham sensation Xavi Simons, who netted 18 times and laid on 22 assists across 68 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking about his tactical approach, Rose previously told the Bundesliga website: ""We want to be very active working against the ball when we lose possession, lots of sprinting. We want to win the ball high up the pitch and have a short path to goal.

"And when we have the ball ourselves, we want to play well; we don't want to punt high balls up the pitch, but be quick and dynamic getting forward." Before moving into the dugout, Rose had a 16-year stint as a player, with eight of those years at Mainz.

His move to the club came about thanks to Jurgen Klopp, and he went on to feature under the former Liverpool boss for six seasons. While he maintains that his approach to the game is distinct from his ex-boss, he conceded that the years spent under Klopp's tutelage enriched his understanding of football and human relations.

Rose stated: "I spent a lot of years under 'Kloppo', and it was a great time. "He shaped all of us. We picked up a few things in terms of football, but above all, it was the way he was with people [that was influential]. Maybe there are a few [coaching] parallels with me and Jürgen, but I've also found my own style."

Tottenham handed clear Robbie Keane stance after Mauricio Pochettino 'decision'

Tottenham handed clear Robbie Keane stance after Mauricio Pochettino 'decision' - The Mirror
Description

Robbie Keane and Mauricio Pochettino have been linked with the job at Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Thomas Frank

Robbie Keane is reportedly not interested in a temporary return to Tottenham as an interim manager, but would consider a permanent managerial role. The Telegraph reports that the former striker is reluctant to leave his current position with Hungarian side Ferencvaros unless it's for a full-time role at Tottenham.

This effectively rules Keane out of contention for the interim manager position, should the club's top brass decide to go down that route. It remains uncertain which direction Spurs will take, with options including appointing an interim manager to buy time for a summer decision, or making a move immediately.

The former could be a wise long-term strategy, but given their precarious position near the relegation zone, it could prove costly. However, if Spurs act now, they may miss out on potential candidates who could become available in the coming months.

This includes Mauricio Pochettino, who is due to lead the US Men's National Team in a home World Cup this summer, with a possible departure following the tournament.

Given Pochettino's commitment to preparing his team for the competition, it seems unlikely he would leave his post prematurely, presenting a dilemma for Spurs in terms of timing their decision.

With Keane no longer a contender for a short-term appointment, the door is open for another candidate to step into the interim role. That man is John Heitinga, who only recently joined Tottenham as part of Thomas Frank's backroom staff, prior to his eventual departure.

The former Premier League player has managerial experience, having been in charge of Ajax earlier this season, although that spell didn't work out and he was ultimately let go. The scarcity of alternative options means that Spurs might need to contemplate Heitinga, although the Telegraph reports that there is a leaning towards bringing in someone from outside the club.

At least for the moment, time is on the side of those making the decision, thanks to Tottenham's early exit from the FA Cup. There's a ten-day gap before the next fixture, which happens to be the North London Derby showdown against Arsenal next weekend.

JOIN US ON FACEBOOK!Latest news, analysis and much more on Mirror Football's Facebook page

That ought to give the decision-makers sufficient time to determine which path they want to take, whether that's naming an interim boss or a permanent appointment. When Keane was recently quizzed about his links to the Tottenham position, he was brief and to the point regarding the prospect of returning to the club where he made the most appearances during his playing days.

A journalist enquired: "Would you expect their invitation for you to become their manager?" Keane replied: "I can't help speculation," shrugging his shoulders before departing the interview.

While that didn't completely discount him from the running, his position suggests a return is feasible only as a permanent appointment rather than a temporary one. Tottenham have 12 fixtures remaining to escape a potential relegation scrap, sitting just five points clear of the bottom three.

Combined with last season's difficulties, this has intensified the spotlight on the club's operations during a period of significant upheaval. Daniel Levy's summer departure concluded an almost 25-year spell as chairman, inevitably triggering a transitional phase.

Additionally, there has been substantial restructuring behind the scenes, including Vinai Venkatesham's arrival as CEO within the last 12 months, alongside Fabio Paratici's return and subsequent second departure.

All of this points towards a club in transition that needs to establish stability before progressing to higher achievements. Critical decisions lie ahead in the coming days, with the threat of relegation far more tangible this campaign than previously.

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with an extraordinary return to Tottenham but such a move would likely require Spurs to appoint an interim manager until the end of the season

Tottenham could appoint an interim head coach next week in order to try and engineer a stunning return for Mauricio Pochettino in the summer - but former Spurs striker Robbie Keane will not consider such a role.

The north London outfit are understood to be considering their options after parting company with Thomas Frank on Wednesday. The Dane joined Spurs from Brentford back in the summer but failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League and leaves with the club languishing just two places and five points above the relegation zone after winning seven games all season.

Pochettino has emerged as the favourite for the position, however, a potential return for the Argentine is complicated by his current role with the USA national team.

Appointing an interim manager until the end of the season before pursuing Pochettino after the World Cup this summer is an option. But that would all but rule out a move for Keane, who has impressed as the head coach of Ferencvaros in Hungary.

The Telegraph report that the former Tottenham and Republic of Ireland striker has been discussed by the club as they decide their next steps, with a desire to have a new man in place by Monday.

They add that Keane would be interested in the permanent Tottenham job, but he would not quit Hungary to return to England in a caretaker capacity. That news will come as a blow amid further claims that the club would like to go down the external route if they do decide to proceed with an interim appointment before making a play for Pochettino.

Keane, 45, signed a contact extension with Ferencvaros back in December after guiding them to the Hungarian title last term. He spent eight years at Tottenham across two spells as a player and would be an attractive option to step in given the success he has enjoyed with Ferencvaros.

Another name in the frame to succeed Frank alongside Keane and Pochettino is the former Brighton boss, Roberto De Zerbi. He is unattached after leaving Marseille earlier this week, though it remains to be seen if he is ready to jump straight back into work.

The Italian has also been touted as a contender for the Manchester United job, with Tottenham's domestic rivals planning to appoint a new head coach in the summer.

Reason Liverpool 'wouldn't go near' Roberto De Zerbi after Jurgen Klopp is warning for Spurs - The Mirror
Description

Roberto De Zerbi is among the candidates to replace Thomas Frank as Tottenham manager, but Premier League rivals Liverpool were once warned off the Italian

Roberto De Zerbi is one of the more tantalising candidates to become Tottenham's next manager. The Italian is on the market following his exit from Marseille and boasts Premier League credentials, though Spurs may have reservations for the same reason that allegedly deterred Liverpool from pursuing him.

De Zerbi's departure from the Stade Velodrome was announced within the same 24-hour span that included Thomas Frank's dismissal by Spurs. The prospect of securing De Zerbi on a free transfer is an attractive one, particularly given his impressive track record at Brighton, Marseille and Sassuolo.

Liverpool were reportedly interested in the then-Seagulls manager towards the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign as Jurgen Klopp prepared to step aside. Anfield icon Xabi Alonso was also touted as a potential contender after his stellar work at Bayer Leverkusen, but the role eventually went to Arne Slot.

Reds legend Mark Lawrenson would have welcomed that outcome after cautioning his former club against appointing De Zerbi. His view was that De Zerbi had overstepped by publicly pushing Brighton to strengthen their squad, behaviour he deemed inappropriate for someone who might aspire to manage a club of Liverpool's stature.

"We've seen how much money they've made this year," he told Paddy Power at the time. "I thought Roberto De Zerbi was a bit naughty last week, saying he wants more players. Brighton gave him his big gig, and he's done very, very well.

"But once you go down that route of asking for more players, and maybe his agent is speaking to other clubs, I don't think Liverpool will go anywhere near him. He's a good manager, but I think he is getting carried away."

De Zerbi guided Brighton to their best-ever Premier League finish when they secured sixth place in the 2022/23 season. He also steered the Seagulls to the FA Cup semi-finals that campaign, with Alexis Mac Allister netting 12 goals as their top scorer.

Mac Allister was among several big-name exits in 2023, alongside Moises Caicedo, who departed in what was then a British-record £115million move to Chelsea. As typically happens when clubs enter European competition for the first time, Brighton's domestic form dipped, and Lawrenson felt De Zerbi showed a touch of arrogance by making his grievances public.

"Brighton haven't had a particularly good season," he continued. "He's not dealt with the extra games and blamed it on not having enough players. De Zerbi won't go to Liverpool, and he might've put one or two prospective club owners off him.

"Brighton are a well-run club. They got £22m for Graham Potter and his backroom staff. They'll just get another manager in, and being run the way that they are, they probably know who their next manager is."

JOIN US ON FACEBOOK! Latest news, analysis and much more on Mirror Football's Facebook page

De Zerbi's controversial approach didn't stop when he left the Amex Stadium. At Marseille, he publicly questioned the club's transfer strategy on multiple occasions and fell out with some players due to his tough methods.

While his current availability might seem attractive, the chaotic undertones associated with him may not suit Tottenham's present predicament. Spurs are languishing just five points above the drop zone and desperately need stability, with Lawrenson's previous comments suggesting De Zerbi might not be the man to deliver it.

Robbie Keane WALKS OUT on interview after being asked about Tottenham job - The Mirror

Tottenham Hotspur are on the search for a new manager following the sacking of Thomas Frank with former striker Robbie Keane seemingly among the contenders to take charge in North London

Robbie Keane walked out of an interview after being asked about the potential of him taking the Tottenham Hotspur job. The former Spurs striker is seemingly among the contenders to take the reins at the North London club following the sacking of Thomas Frank.

Others linked with the job include former boss Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi. Keane would certainly be an intriguing appointment given his coaching career so far.

He commenced his post-playing career with ATK before being appointed as assistant with the Republic of Ireland, Middlesbrough and Leeds United. Keane was handed the reins at Maccabi Tel Aviv ahead of his appointment at Hungarian side Ferencvaros, where he has won the league title.

Asked if he is expecting an approach from Spurs, he said: “I can’t help speculation,” before he quickly walked out of the interview.

Meanwhile, Keane has also confirmed his stance on his future and claimed that he was not actively looking for a role in the Premier League. Speaking with Hungarian newspaper Nemzeti Sport this week: "I never dream about it.

“After playing there the most, people back home expect me to work in England. It doesn’t work that way for me. Am I looking for the opportunity to sign for England? No. Would I like to be the manager of Liverpool? No. If they want me to be one, we can talk about it.

"I feel great at Ferencvaros, I couldn’t be in a better place right now. I am lucky because I don’t need money, I earned a living when I was a player, I don’t do it to get money at the end of the month, I am motivated by something completely different."

Keane has been backed by former Spurs star Michael Dawson for the job. Speaking after Frank’s exit from the club, the ex-defender said: “It wasn't inevitable in my opinion because I go back to the game against West Ham and they lost 2-1 with a late goal and that was the point where I thought 'will they make a change?' And it's clear they didn't want to do that.

"I just look back at last night's performance, they've had a meeting. They've made a decision and now they've got a huge decision to make on who comes in.

"I hear everyone talk about interim. We don't know, we don't know if it's going to be interim. If that happens, I think it's only one manager they're waiting for in the summer.

"For me, there's someone in the making. Someone who knows the football club, someone who's got the passion, played for the club, loves it and will galvanise everyone and bring them in the right direction and that's Robbie Keane for me."

Ange Postecoglou savages Tottenham and reveals incredible four-man shortlist they rejected

Ange Postecoglou has revealed that he looked at signing four players during his second summer transfer window at Tottenham, only for the club not to bring any of them in

Ange Postecoglou has slammed Tottenham's transfer policy and revealed he had a four-man transfer shortlist in mind that the club REJECTED during the 2024 summer window.

Postecoglou, 60, was sacked from his role as head coach at Tottenham last summer following two years in north London. During his time in charge, the Aussie guided Spurs to a fifth-place finish in his first season before ending the club's 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League last campaign.

However, Spurs decided to make a change with Postecoglou getting axed and Thomas Frank coming in to replace him after doing a stellar job at Brentford. Postecoglou recorded a 46.5 per cent win rate at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning 47 and drawing 15 of his 101 matches in charge.

But now, after describing Tottenham as "not a big club" when it comes to wages and transfer fees, Postecoglou has savaged his former club and claimed he tried to sign Pedro Neto, Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi during the 2024 summer transfer window - all of which did not happen.

Speaking on The Overlap, Postecoglou said: "At the end of my first year when we finished fifth, for me I was like, 'how do you go from fifth to challenging?' Well, we had to sign Premier League-ready players, but finishing fifth that year didn't get us Champions League, we didn't have the money so we ended up signing Dom Solanke who I really like and three teenagers (Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert).

"I was looking at Pedro Neto, Mbeumo, Semenyo at the time and Marc Guehi. Because I said if we want to go from fifth to there, that is what the other big clubs were doing at that moment.

JOIN US ON FACEBOOK! Latest news, analysis and much more on Mirror Football's Facebook page

"Those three teenagers are outstanding young players and I think they'll be brilliant players for Tottenham, but they're not going to get you from fifth to fourth and third. But what was coming out from the club was that we are a club that can compete on all fronts."

Postecoglou added: "I still felt like Tottenham as a club were saying we're one of the big boys but in reality I don't think they are, in my experience over the last two years. You see Arsenal spend £100m on Declan Rice, I don't see Tottenham doing that. Maybe now, I don't know."

After losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, Tottenham spent more than £210million during Postecoglou's first summer, with the club signing James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Brennan Johnson, Micky van de Ven, Dejan Kulusevski, Guglielmo Vicario, Alejo Veliz, Ashley Phillips and Manor Solomon.

It was backing that helped led Spurs to a remarkable start to Postecoglou's reign, with Tottenham sitting top of the Premier League with 20 points after eight matches. Although Tottenham ended up dropping off and finishing fifth, two points behind fourth-place Aston Villa, there was a feeling and belief that the Aussie could build something special in north London if he was backed in his second summer.

But, having missed out on Champions League football, Tottenham spent under £80m less on transfers, with Dominic Solanke the most high profile recruit. Teenagers Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert were the others to come on, though Spurs didn't lose a significant first-teamer, such as Kane.

While Spurs did go on and win the Europa League, performances and results in the Premier League dipped significantly and it led them to finish in 17th, their lowest final position since 1976/77. That contributed to Postecoglou's exit, with then-Spurs chairman Daniel Levy feeling a changed needed to happen.

BREAKING: Ange Postecoglou tells Thomas Frank he deserved Tottenham sacking and dubs Spurs 'baffling - The Mirror
Description

Ange Postecoglou believes Thomas Frank should have no complaints about his sacking from Tottenham Hotspur. Frank was dismissed as manager of the north Londoners after their 2-1 home loss to Newcastle United.

The loss to the Magpies left the Europa League champions in 16th place, just five points above the relegation zone. He is the second permanent manager in eight months to be sacked by Tottenham, with Postecoglou being dismissed at the end of last season.

The Australian was shown the door after the club finished in 17th position, with his Europa League triumph not enough to spare him from the axe. Around eight months after his sacking - and five months after he was also fired by Nottingham Forest - Postecoglou offered his honest verdict on Frank's departure.

The ex-Celtic boss said to the Overlap: "It's always, having been in that position twice in the last six months, it's tough, it's tough. You know that he can't be the only issue at the club and that's probably every manager.

"But, ultimately that's what we get judged on. But it goes back to me, it's a curious club Tottenham. It's made a major pivot at the end of last year, not just with me but with Daniel (Levy) leaving as well.

JOIN US ON FACEBOOK!Latest news, analysis and much more on Mirror Football's Facebook page

"You've created a whole sort of environment of uncertainty because there's no guarantees, no matter which managers you bring in because they've had world-class managers there and not had success and for what reason?

"What was the reason for such a major pivot, you know Thomas was walking in, what's his objective? What's the club's objective? At the start of the year, obviously to compete on all fronts but the club hasn't competed on all fronts for a long time.

"Also the most influential person at the club for the last 20 years is also going so if you're going to do such a major pivot, you have to understand there is going to be some instability there. Did Thomas know he was walking into that? I don't know.

"It's a fair departure from me, anyone who studies the game, it wasn't like it was a progression from me. I built that sort of squad for want of a better word to play a certain way for a number of years and he's sort of coming in and like we said, it's a curious club Tottenham."

Spurs finished fifth in Postecoglou's first campaign, which saw them only just miss out on the Champions League positions. Injuries and poor form at home - which also ended up costing Frank his job - blighted the Australian's second season at the club.

While the Europa League triumph did end Spurs' long run without a trophy and provided them with a place in this season's Champions League - the one competition Frank thrived in. However, Postecoglou also believes Spurs also need to look inwards to find their issues instead of merely sacking one manager after the other.

He added: "If you look at the list of names (managers), there isn't really a common theme there in what they are trying to do. I do think part of Tottenham's DNA - for the lack of a better word - is that they do like their teams to play a certain way.

"It's fair to say with Mauricio (Pochettino) they were going down that path, but at the same time, I think people have been too dismissive of Harry's (Kane's) influence through that period.

"If I had had Harry in that first year, I'm convinced we would have finished in that Champions League spot. Even him leaving, you cannot plug that hole. It's impossible."

Tottenham are looking for a new manager after sacking Thomas Frank, with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino a popular option among their disgruntled fan base

Tim Sherwood has put his hat in the ring to become Tottenham's new manager - but only on a short-term basis. That's because Sherwood convinced that another ex-Spurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, will be Thomas Frank's permanent successor.

Barely 12 hours after Tottenham's miserable 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle, the club announced Frank's sacking on Wednesday morning. Spurs have only won two of their last 17 Premier League games, leaving them just five points above the relegation zone.

Now Tottenham are searching to appoint a coach ahead of next Sunday's North London derby against Arsenal. Sherwood, 57, both played for and managed Spurs, and he's open to a return.

"I think there's going to be a shortlist of people they could turn to," the former midfielder told Sky Sports. "I genuinely believe they're going to give it to John Heitinga.

"He's the man there already, he's got experience as a manager. It didn't work out great for him, obviously, at Ajax but Tottenham in the Premier League is a great opportunity for someone who is not in a job.

"It's a club I love, I know a lot about it and I've spent many years there in different capacities and it needs someone to give them a lift at the moment. Whether that's me or whoever they decide to bring in, they've got a tough job on their hands."

However, Sherwood insists that the next person in the dugout will only be a short-term fix due to the 'clamour' surrounding Pochettino. Fans chanted the Argentine's name during the Newcastle defeat, making their feelings on a return following his 2019 sacking clear.

Pochettino, 53, is currently managing the USA after spells with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, and he's expected to lead the country into this summer's World Cup which they're co-hosting. After that, however, the fan favourite would likely be easier to prise away.

"Let's face it, in the summer it's going to be Pochettino," Sherwood declared. "It will be impossible or almost impossible for Tottenham to look beyond Mauricio Pochettino with the clamour from the Tottenham support to bring the man back to the club.

"Whoever is going in there is going in for 12 games plus that Champions League run, there's no future at the club for that person. So there will be very few who want to put their hands up and put themselves on offer for 12 games."
