On December 12th, Globo Esporte stated Fluminense have made contact with Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison about a move in the winter market.

Later that day, TNT Sports in Brazil reported Spurs aren’t willing to let the forward leave and he also wants to continue at the north London club.

On Friday, Radio Itatiaia reported the Brazilian club aren’t willing to give up and are planning to hold talks to sign the Tottenham player.

Fluminense president Mário Bittencourt has now revealed his side have made an approach for the 27-year-old and his comments are relayed by Globo Esporte.

The Brazil international arrived in Europe for the first time when Watford signed him from Fluminense in 2017. Bittencourt was then the vice-president at the club and has a close bond with the attacker.

Bittencourt insists Tottenham are open to offers but aren’t willing to part ways with the former Everton man, most likely in January.

“Tottenham replied that they are open to offers, but at the moment they have no interest in getting rid of the player. They are willing to listen. We’re also talking to the player to see if he’s interested in coming back,” he said.

“What is concrete is that we have expressed a formal interest in Richarlison. We know how difficult it is to bring him in.

“We believe that he may want to be close to the Brazilian national team, to return home to the club where he excelled. I have a close relationship with him. I was vice-president of football when he arrived.

“The head of scouting [Ricardo Corrêa] was the head of scouting in 2016, he was the one who recommended signing him when he was the top scorer in Série B.”

“I brought Richarlison in as vice-president of football. We’ve created a relationship, not a friendship, but a strong one. We sent a first document to the English club, still without an offer, but asking if they would like to negotiate.”

The South American club’s official remains optimistic of being successful in their efforts to bring the Spurs attacker back to the club. The president also suggested how a deal can be agreed so that it can benefit Ange Postecoglou’s side in the future.

“We’ve always been optimistic about every player we’ve thought about bringing in. Especially from a career point of view. I know they’re different situations, but Marcelo, Fred, Thiago [Silva], were acquisitions that we didn’t need to pay for. Just wages,” Bittencourt explained.

“But we believe in the Club World Cup project. Our optimism lies in offering the athlete a project in which he can recover his brilliance. His personal achievements. There are no financial negotiations in progress.”

“If there is, we have interesting assets, especially young people. That could be part of the operation. We’re not talking about any names, there’s nothing concrete, but English clubs are looking for our youngsters from time to time. We can talk about preference, priority for the future, but it’s still very embryonic.”

Lucas Bergvall arrived at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer and clocked in 482 minutes from 17 games in all competitions this season.

On Sunday, the Sweden international made his first Premier League start in Spurs’ 5-0 win over Southampton and played the full 90 minutes.

This has pleased the midfielder’s former club, Djurgårdens, as they are now set to receive funds from Tottenham.

That’s at least what Fotboll Direkt are reporting, and they say ‘super bonus’ is on its way to the Swedish club.

Back in February, Tottenham agreed a deal with Djurgårdens for the 18-year-old to arrive at the north London club in the summer. The report states the deal agreed was for a fixed fee of SEK 113m [€9.8m] rising to SEK 220m with bonuses.

In other words, Bergvall’s former club could earn around €9.3m in bonuses from his sale to the Premier League side. The report claims Djurgårdens will receive SEK 35-40m [€3-3.5m] if the youngster were to start for Tottenham in the Premier League.

Bergvall made his first league start yesterday and therefore, Tottenham have to pay €3-3.5m to the Swedish club.

This is the ‘super bonus’ Fotboll Direkt are talking about and Djurgårdens could earn even more through bonuses in the future.

Fiorentina have set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur’s Radu Drăgușin for the winter market, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The defender joined Tottenham from Genoa in January and was linked with a move back to Italy in the summer.

Recent claims have talked about Juventus and Napoli interest in the 22-year-old, but his agent, Florin Manea, has ruled out an exit from Tottenham in the mid-season window.

That hasn’t stopped Fiorentina from showing interest in the Romania international as TMW state they have ‘taken concrete steps’ to sign him. La Viola have made contact with the north London club for the centre-back, but Spurs haven’t yet responded.

Ange Postecoglou is currently without his first-choice centre-back pairing of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as both are on the sidelines due to injuries.

The Argentina international isn’t expected to return at least until the end of next month, while Ben Davies is also in Spurs’ treatment room. The trio’s injuries have seen Drăgușin feature regularly in recent weeks for Tottenham.

TMW state Tottenham’s injury situation could be an ‘obstacle’ for Fiorentina to sign the Romanian in the next window.

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Lille star Jonathan David in 2025, according to Calciomercato.

The striker’s deal expires in 2025 and is ‘increasingly convinced’ of leaving Lille in January or next summer. The Ligue 1 side, on the other hand, want to retain him until the end of this season.

David’s contract situation has seen several clubs, including Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan position themselves to sign him.

He’s been linked to Barcelona and Bayern Munich, while Manchester United are following the 24-year-old.

Calciomercato claim the club ‘most intent on taking concrete steps’ to secure his services are Spurs. There’s no mention of what Ange Postecoglou’s side want to do to agree a deal with the Canada international.

Earlier this week, Sport reported Tottenham have made an important offer to the player.

Juventus and Inter will have to overcome the north London club to acquire the frontman’s signature. It won’t be easy because Spurs have better finances than the Serie A duo and this is the ‘difficult obstacle’ for the two Italian clubs.

With Tottenham keen to take ‘concrete steps’, they hope to find an agreement with David soon to avoid tussle with other clubs.

The Canadian managed 17 goals and four assists from 24 games this season.

Two months ago, we covered claims from France which stated Newcastle United are chasing Abdukodir Khusanov. Earlier this month, Le10 Sport reported Tottenham Hotspur are in the picture for the RC Lens player.

Saturday’s edition of La Voix du Nord mentions Tottenham and Newcastle interest when discussing the 20-year-old’s growth at the Ligue 1 side.

The centre-back has established himself at Lens, forming a partnership with Kevin Danso, and this has caught the attention of the European clubs.

La Voix du Nord say the duo are effective when it comes to defending and play a key role when building attacks from the back.

They add Khusanov’s impressive performances have seen his ‘rating skyrocket’ and he’s attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham and Newcastle.

PSG and the Premier League duo have put the Uzbekistan international ‘on top of their list’.

Lens took him from Belarusian side FC Energetik-BGU Minsk in 2023 and gave him a contract until 2027. Transfermarkt currently values him at €12m, but the report states the French club won’t entertain his potential sale for ‘less than €30m’.

There’s no indication whether Spurs or the Magpies will make an offer for the defender.

Timo Werner is set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur until the end this season, according to Bild.

Spurs initially took the forward on loan from RB Leipzig in January and extended his loan stay until the end of this season.

On Thursday, the 28-year-old struggled in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Rangers in the Europa League.

Werner had one shot on target, made 18 passes and failed to win any of his five duels. Ange Postecoglou replaced him after the first half and was highly critical of the former Chelsea man after the tie.

The Tottenham manager even stated the German’s performance against Rangers wasn’t acceptable. This saw a section of Spurs fans ask the club to part ways with him in January.

Bild now claim the ‘decision is clear’ as Werner will continue at Tottenham beyond the winter market and the chance of him leaving Spurs next month is ‘not an issue’.

As a part of the new loan deal, Tottenham have an option to make his stay permanent for €12m. The report states Spurs, as of now, are unlikely to exercise this option.

Werner has a goal and three assists from 19 appearances in all competitions this season.

Earlier this week, we covered claims from South America which stated Tottenham Hotspur are in the picture to sign Getafe’s Omar Alderete.

There was also confidence he could move to the Premier League in the winter market.

Friday’s edition of AS further backs up Tottenham’s interest in the centre-back and shares more details on this case.

They state the 27-year-old is one of the names included in the north London club’s target list for next month. The Paraguay international made it to the list mainly because of Ange Postecoglou.

The player’s strength and ability to control the ball is appreciated by the former Celtic manager. Therefore, the newspaper states Postecoglou has asked Spurs to sign him next month to improve their defence.

As well as Tottenham, other clubs have shown interest in the player, but their details are not mentioned. The South American’s deal lasts until 2028, and the report says it includes a €16m buyout clause.

Getafe chairman Ángel Torres has always referred to Alderete’s release clause when there’s been an approach for him.

Alderete’s clause is affordable for Tottenham.

Earlier today, Globo Esporte reported Fluminense have contacted Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison over a deal for the January transfer window.

There was no mention of the 27-year-old or Tottenham’s stance on doing business with the Brazilian club.

TNT Sports in Brazil now brings the latest on Richarlison and Tottenham’s stance for January.

The forward previously had a spell at Fluminense, and they have an intention of bringing him back to the club to strengthen their attack. That won’t be happening, at least in the next window, because of both the player and Spurs.

The Brazil international doesn’t want to leave Ange Postecoglou’s side, more so because he’s set to become a father. In addition to this, the North London club have no plans to let him leave next month, even on a loan deal.

Richarlison ‘wants to remain’ at Tottenham and Spurs ‘don’t intend’ to negotiate his exit, and this will certainly not please Fluminense.

The South American’s contract lasts until 2027, and injuries have restricted him to less than 200 minutes of action from seven games this season. He picked up a hamstring injury in November and has been on the sidelines since then.

Fluminense want to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison in the winter market.

That’s according to Globo Esporte, who state the Brazilian club have identified the forward as the prime target to ‘increase the level’ of their attack.

The Tottenham player was at Fluminense for 18 months and left them for Watford in the summer of 2017.

Fluminense are planning to reshape their squad for the 2025 Club World Cup. They want to bring the 27-year-old back to the club and have made initial contact with him.

Globo add the South American club are ‘willing to invest’ to sign the former Everton man, without mentioning the fee they are ready to offer Spurs.

Richarlison has been limited to 173 minutes from seven matches for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season. The report states this is an ‘asset’ for his former club, to help them convince him to leave the north London club.

The player has been sidelined for most of the season due to injuries… but Globo donn’t take this into account.

Earlier this year, Fluminense president Mário Bittencourt opened the door for the Spurs man to return to the club.

“If all this conspires, plus the gods of football, the great tricolors who are with us in soul, if everything helps, there would be two players who would be a dream,” he said.

“Our Pigeon, Richarlison, if he wants, the doors are open. And another who didn’t play here, but who I admire as a player, who is a player everyone would like to have, is Neymar.

“If one day we have the conditions, who knows? Richarlison played here and knows how wonderful the fans can be.”

Fluminense want to improve their attack by signing Richarlison and it remains to be seen whether they can get this deal over the line.
