Tottenham Hotspur are doing the groundwork on a deal to sign an "exceptional" winger, who is now one of their key targets for the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Spurs set to strengthen in attack

It is clear Tottenham are keen on bringing in additional attacking options this summer, given that they have identified a number of potential targets in the striker department, recently stepping up their pursuit of Lille marksman Jonathan David, who is soon to be a free agent.

Arsenal are also linked with a move for David, and Spurs may also have to battle their rivals for the signature of Leeds United youngster Harry Gray, younger brother of Archie, with Premier League clubs queuing up to sign the impressive teenage striker.

Bringing in a new striker is of interest to Ange Postecoglou, and the manager also wants to refresh his wide options, with Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman being named as a potential signing earlier this month.

Bayern manager Vincent Kompany is happy to offload Coman, which could make a deal easier to facilitate, but Tottenham may be more keen on an alternative option from much closer to home.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Spurs are now doing the groundwork on a deal to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, as they look to make a splash in the summer transfer window.

Dibling has now been identified as one of the Lilywhites' key targets, with the 19-year-old beginning to look more likely to leave the Saints this summer, given that his side are almost certain to be relegated from the Premier League.

Postecoglou's side could be trying to move ahead of the other clubs in the race for the starlet, who has previously been valued at £55m, with the likes of Manchester United and Crystal Palace also named as potential suitors.

Dibling excelling despite Saints' struggles

It has been a season to forget for Southampton, who are still not safe from the ignominy of recording the lowest-ever Premier League points total, having collected just nine points from 29 games.

However, Dibling has still managed to impress at times, chalking up four goals and two assists in all competitions, in what has been a real breakthrough season for the youngster.

The Exeter-born winger has also managed to impress when he hasn't been on the scoresheet, being lauded as "exceptional" and a "joy to watch" by reporter Ryan Taylor, following an excellent showing against Manchester United back in September.

It would be a difficult task for any player to stand out in such a poor side, but some of Dibling's performances this season indicate he deserves another chance in the Premier League next season, and it will be interesting to see how he fares in a better team.

Tottenham Hotspur do not have the best of reputations when it comes to buying players in the transfer window.

In fact, the fans have often decried the ownership for not backing their managers enough, which is entirely understandable considering Mauricio Pochettino was unable to sign a single player for 517 days.

However, for all the North Londoners' historical lack of big spending in windows, they have always been strong sellers.

Daniel Levy has made a name for himself for being one of the toughest negotiators in the game, which has led to some pretty sizable sales in the past, including one player who was moved on for 750% more than he cost.

Ranking Spurs' best-ever sales

So before getting to the player in question, it's worth looking at some of Spurs' other impressive sales, starting with England international Kyle Walker.

The incredibly experienced full-back joined the North Londoners from Sheffield United for around £5m in 2009 and, after a few loan spells, became a mainstay in the first team during the 2011/12 season.

The 34-year-old went on to make 229 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring four goals and providing 18 assists before Manchester City signed him for a fee of £50m, which was not only a tidy £45m profit for Tottenham but also a record for a defender at the time.

From defence to attacker now and the club's record sale: Harry Kane.

The England captain famously came up through the club's academy after being released by North London rivals Arsenal, and after several loan moves himself, he ended up making 435 first-team appearances, in which he scored a staggering 280 goals and provided 61 assists.

That means the Walthamstow-born monster averaged a goal involvement every 1.27 games during his time in the capital, which helped to justify the eye-watering £86.4m fee he cost Bayern Munich in 2023.

However, while Kane's sale was a good bit of business from Levy and Co, a sale made a decade prior was even more impressive.

Gareth Bale: Spurs' best-ever sale

So, with Kane and Walker's massive sales already covered, it should come as no surprise that the sale we reckon is Spurs' best is that of Gareth Bale.

The Welsh superstar was signed for around £10m, including add-ons, in May 2007 and then sold for a then-world-record fee of £85m in the summer of 2013, meaning Tottenham sold the incredible winger for an astronomical 750% increase on their initial investment.

Moreover, while that would still be an impressive fee to receive for a player today, the fact Levy managed to get it over a decade ago is truly remarkable.

That said, the Cardiff-born monster proved to be value for money during his title-laden stay in the Spanish capital, and considering how well he was playing prior to the transfer, it was an entirely justifiable fee.

For example, even though the "once in a lifetime" star, as Wales manager Craig Bellamy described him, struggled with injuries and poor form early on in his Spurs career, a change in position from full-back to winger under Harry Redknapp set him on his way to becoming a world-class superstar.

During his first stint in North London, the incredible dynamo racked up a tally of 55 goals and 50 assists in 203 appearances, but it was in his final season before moving to Madrid that he truly reached a world-class standard.

Across 44 appearances in the 12/13 season, totalling 3891 minutes, the Welsh icon scored 26 goals and provided ten assists, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.22 games, or every 108.08 minutes.

Ultimately, Tottenham have made some impressive sales over the years, but considering the price they paid and the period in which they sold him, Bale's sale remains the best in Spurs' history.

Their trophy cabinet might not reflect this, but Tottenham Hotspur have had some sensationally talented players in recent history.

The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembélé are just some of the incredible stars who have pulled on the famous white shirt in modern history.

Moreover, while this season has been an unquestionable failure, at least on the domestic front, Ange Postecoglou still has a number of brilliant talents in his squad.

In fact, it could be said that one of his star men has been the club's best signing since Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min.

Son and Bale's Spurs records

Tottenham completed the £10m signing of Bale from Southampton in May 2007, and while the Welshman's first couple of seasons in North London were a nightmare of injuries and poor form, a positional shift from full-back to winger under Harry Redknapp in the 09/10 season changed everything.

Instead of having to think about attacking and defending, the former Saints gem was free to focus his attention at the sharp end of the pitch, and over the following few years, transformed from a promising young winger into one of the best in the world.

It was in the 12/13 season that the Cardiff-born monster reached truly world-class levels, as in just 44 appearances, totalling 3891 minutes, the Spurs phenomenon scored 26 goals and provided ten assists, which comes out to an average of a goal involvement every 1.22 games, or every 108.08 minutes.

Such a sensational rate of return was enough to convince Real Madrid to spend a then-world-record £85m on the Lilywhites ace, but it would be two years until the North Londoners would have another exceptional winger in the team when they spent around £22m on then-Bayer Leverkusen gem Son.

The South Korean superstar was something of an unknown quantity to most Premier League fans at the time, but it didn't take him too long to change that, as in just his second season with the Lilywhites, the Chuncheon-born dynamo racked up a tally of 21 goals and seven assists in 47 games.

Today, the 32-year-old has an incredible record of 173 goals and 95 assists in 448 appearances, which comes out to an average of a goal involvement every 1.67 games, and on top of that, he wears the captain's armband.

In short, both Bale and Son proved to be incredible signings for Spurs, and it could be said that one of Ange's stars this season could follow in a similar path.

Spurs' best signing since Bale or Son

So, the unfortunate reality is that while there are some brilliant players in the team today, there are not many who could fit into this category, apart from Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swedish international initially joined the club under Antonio Conte on an 18-month loan deal but was then signed on a permanent basis for just £25m in June 2023.

Now, it would be fair to say that during his first couple of campaigns for the club, the Stockholm-born star could be a little inconsistent, running games on his own one week and then fading into the background the next.

However, this season has seen the 24-year-old take a massive step forward, as Postecoglou's decision to play him more in midfield than on the wing has allowed him to impact games far more than he ever did.

For example, in 42 appearances, totalling 3054 minutes, the "world-class" attacker, as dubbed by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has scored ten goals and provided ten assists.

That means he's currently averaging a goal involvement every 2.1 games, or every 152.7 minutes, which, for a midfielder in a team struggling as much as the Lilywhites have this season, is seriously impressive.

Moreover, the underlying numbers of the games that the former Juventus star has played in midfield this season are nothing short of incredible.

According to FBref, he sits in the top 1% of midfielders in Europe's top five leagues for progressive carries, shot-creating actions via take-ons, touches in the opposition's penalty area, carries into the penalty area, the top 2% for key passes, the top 3% for non-penalty goals and more, all per 90.

In short, while he might not necessarily be as talented as Bale or Son were at their peaks, Kulusevski remains potentially Spurs' best player today and arguably their best signing since picking up the former Bayer Leverkusen star ten years ago.

This season has been a brutal one for Tottenham Hotspur.

Ange Postecoglou's side have had to deal with an incredible number of injuries, which, combined with a general lack of form, sees the club sitting 14th in the Premier League.

The only benefit to come from the campaign has been how much first-team football the club's exciting youngsters have been able to play, with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray already looking like some of the best players in the squad.

Interestingly, how well the latter has adapted to top-flight football might be influencing the club's transfer plans, as recent reports have touted another young talent for a move to N17, a move that would mirror Gray's.

Spurs looking at signing exciting wonderkid

Spurs have a number of exciting young talents emerging under Postecoglou's guidance this term and they could be about to bring another of the country's best wonderkids to north London.

Indeed, according to a recent report from Spain, Tottenham are incredibly interested in Sunderland's teenage talent, Chris Rigg.

In fact, the report has revealed that the North Londoners have already placed an astounding offer of €45m, which is about £38m, 'on the table.'

Unsurprisingly, the report claims that the Lilywhites are not the only top-flight side keen to secure the 17-year-old's services in the summer, but the story also highlights that the club's decision to make such a significant offer is a sign of their determination to get it done ahead of potential rivals.

It's undoubtedly a lot of money to spend on such a young player, but if his potential is as high as those in the know suggest it is, then it'd be money well spent, akin to Gray's move last year.

Why Rigg would be a Gray repeat

So, if Spurs were able to get ahead of the chasing pack and secure Rigg's services in the summer, why would it be a repeat of the Gray deal? What makes the two players so similar?

There are a few reasons, but perhaps the most significant is that it would be yet another example of Daniel Levy and Co investing a massive amount of money into a highly-rated teenager from the Championship.

For example, while the former Leeds United star was being described as a "future £100m" star by analyst Ben Mattinson before his move last year, Mattinson described the Sunderland star as "one of, if not the best talents in the Championship" just a few months ago.

While that might sound like hyperbole, it's really not, as, despite being so young, the Hebburn-born talent has made 36 first-team appearances for the Black Cats this term, in which he's scored four goals and provided one assist.

Moreover, FBref has placed him in the top 1% of midfielders in the 14 next-best competitions for non-penalty expected goals, the top 2% for goal-creating actions from take-ons, the top 5% for successful take-ons and more, all per 90.

The second similarity would be their positional versatility.

For example, while both players are central midfielders, they have been played all over the pitch this season, with the former Peacocks ace starring in defence for Postecoglou, while the "wonderful" Sunderland ace, as dubbed by Tony Mowbray, has played all over, from centre-forward to attacking-midfield and even defensive midfield - he can seemingly do it all.

Ultimately, Spurs already have what looks to be a generational talent from the Championship in Gray, and while he won't come cheap, they'd be wise to secure the services of another in Rigg.

Tottenham Hotspur are now racing a number of their Premier League rivals for the signature of an "unbelievable" forward, who is set to command a fee of £54m this summer, according to a report.

Spurs looking to bolster attacking options

The scale of Tottenham's injury crisis this season has left them a little light on attacking options at times, with Dominic Solanke and Richarlison spending time on the sidelines, and they are now stepping up their pursuit of a new striker.

Spurs are now in active talks over a deal for Lille striker Jonathan David, having been impressed by the Canadian's performances this season, but there is widespread interest in his signature, with Arsenal and Manchester United also keen.

David is set to be available on a free transfer, but Ange Postecoglou's side are also prepared to break the bank for an alternative target, with a report revealing they are willing to make a huge offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Not only is Postecoglou keen to bring in a new centre-forward, but there could also be additions in wide areas, with the Lilywhites incredibly keen on Feyenoord's Igor Paixao.

One forward who could tick a lot of boxes is Atalanta's Ademola Lookman, who is able to play both on the wing and at striker, and a report from Caught Offside has revealed Tottenham are now in the race for the forward's signature.

Spurs are one of a number of Premier League clubs chasing Lookman, with seven English sides battling for the in-demand attacker, including London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave Atalanta at the end of the campaign, with the Serie A side setting an asking price of €65m (£54m), amid further interest from Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Juventus.

"Unbelievable" Lookman deserves big move

The Nigerian famously led Atalanta to a Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen last season, scoring a hat-trick to secure a 3-0 victory, and he ranks extremely highly on a number of key attacking metrics over the past year, when compared to other forwards.

As a result of the incredible display in the Europa League final, the Atalanta star received high praise from pundit Mina Rzouki, and he has continued to impress this season, picking up 13 goals and five assists in 23 Serie A games.

As such, it is exciting news that Tottenham are in the race for Lookman, but they may need to win the Europa League to stand a chance of winning the race for his signature, given that so many top clubs are keen.

Spurs' £165k-per-week flop has become their worst signing since Ndombele

Spurs' £165k-per-week flop has become their worst signing since Ndombele - FootballFanCast.com

The Daniel Levy era at Tottenham Hotspur has been a total rollercoaster, one that's not just been encapsulated by years of mediocrity on the pitch, but their dealings off the pitch too.

While their recruitment is getting better, notably preparing for the future by bringing the likes of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and highly-rated defender Luka Vuskovic to the club, they have still wasted several hundreds of millions on players who simply haven't cut it.

In recent years we're talking about the likes of £60m Richarlison, £25m Yves Bissouma, £25m Emerson Royal and £55m Giovani Lo Celso.

One of the worst, however, was the ill-fated Tanguy Ndombele move.

Why Ndombele's Spurs move was such a disaster

The year was 2019 and the month was July. It was the summer window and Levy knew he needed to spend to take Spurs to the next level.

Spend he did, splashing out a club-record fee at the time of £55m on Ndombele. The Frenchman arrived from Lyon with some suggesting he was the dream replacement for the much-loved Mousa Dembele.

You could see why such a comparison was being made. Ndombele was a powerful carrier, his technical ability was first-class and he could affect games in both boxes.

He moved from Ligue 1 having scored three goals and supplied eight assists in the 2018/19 campaign. The Frenchman - capped seven times - never replicated those numbers in the white of Spurs, however.

In fact, across 91 outings for the club, he only amassed nine assists and netted ten goals. He wasn't explicitly signed for his ability to contribute in the final third but for the price tag and the hype, you'd expect better.

So, why did it not work out? Well, not only did he suffer from injuries, missing several games through a groin problem, but he didn't particularly work hard enough. That was the view of many people, chiefly Jose Mourinho.

"We had to start with him as a No 10," the former Spurs boss explained. "He didn’t have the discipline, the strength or the stamina to be a midfield player."

One training ground source encapsulated it perfectly. Speaking to the Athletic, they said at the time: "Tanguy is the maverick of the team, he can do stuff that nobody else can do. Incredibly talented, incredible ability, just sometimes you just want to be like, ‘Tanguy you’re so good, just do the basics’.”

Well, after never really making the grade in north London, he finally left England behind in June 2024 when his contract was cancelled.

Spurs haven't exactly done great things in the market since then, and that's typified by Timo Werner's move.

Spurs' worst signing since Ndombele

While the likes of Richarlison, Lo Celso and Bissouma - all signing since Ndombele - haven't exactly set the world alight, they have at least made positive contributions.

The Brazilian scored 12 goals in all competitions last term, while Lo Celso had some memorable moments, netting against Manchester City in 2023/24 and playing an important role in the team through the middle stages of Ange Postecoglou's debut year at the helm.

However, for Werner, he hasn't had many memorable moments at all. While Ndombele is certainly the worst of the bunch, the German has flopped in a similar way.

Of course, being a loan move, there hasn't been a whole wad of cash wasted here but if anything has been wasted, it's time and effort to get a deal over the line.

The former Chelsea attacker initially signed in January of 2024 on loan and did make an impact in the back end of that season, scoring twice and supplying three assists in 13 outings.

As a consequence, his loan move in England was extended over the summer, keeping him at the club until the end of the current campaign. Sadly, it just hasn't been worthwhile.

The £165k-per-week earner has only scored once all campaign - a goal in the Carabao Cup - and has three assists in the Premier League.

The nadir of his time at the club was definitely against Tamworth in the FA Cup back in January. Spurs nearly lost the game and Werner notably underperformed with podcaster and content creator Will Reyner suggesting "he looks comfortably the worst player on the pitch against a non-league side." Damning words indeed.

He's not just frustrated supporters but he's also annoyed Postecoglou who notably laid into the Germany international back in December after a performance against Rangers, suggesting his performance was "not acceptable". Tell us how you really feel, Ange.

Also described as a "weird" signing by ESPN pundit Don Hutchinson, is it really a surprise that Spurs are set to pass on their option to buy the 29-year-old at the end of his loan this summer?

It was reported that Levy could exercise a £8.5m buy option but it's suggested that he will head back to RB Leipzig in the summer.

That is certainly the right decision for a player who has flopped just as hard as Ndombele did in Spurs colours.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has a rebuilding job on his hands this summer and has now thrown his hat in the ring for an exciting star who continues to crop up on the radar of Premier League clubs, per a report.

Tottenham Hotspur look to navigate transitional moment

Daniel Levy has come under scrutiny from sections of the Tottenham support this season, and his rule over the club is never too far away from the headlines. However, there can be no doubt he has financially backed Postecoglou in the last couple of transfer windows.

Spending around £147.6 million on the likes of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, optimism was fairly high in North London that the Lilywhites would kick on under the Australian's stewardship. Fast forward to March, they lie 14th in the Premier League table with very little to show for their efforts.

Despite fighting the fire of an injury crisis over the last few months, Postecoglou is under pressure at Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly been lined up to replace the under-fire manager.

Even if that is the case, Spurs have already made a start on summer targets with Viktor Gyokeres high on their wishlist. Given Sporting CP are regulars in Europe's premier competition, it feels like the only way he would be enticed by the prospect of a move to N17 is if they snatch a backdoor route to Champions League qualification by claiming the Europa League title.

On the same token, Rayan Ait-Nouri could be part of Tottenham's rebuild for a sum of £40 million, though he is also in the sights of Liverpool and West Ham United.

One thing is for certain, there are changes on the way that Postecoglou is set to head up. The former Celtic boss has now turned his attention to a talented young star viewed as one of the best talents in his country below the top flight.

Tottenham Hotspur enter the race to sign Hayden Hackney

According to Football Insider, Tottenham want to bring in Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney after approving plans to sell Yves Bissouma this summer.

The England Under-21 cap is widely thought of as one of the best midfielders in England outside of the Premier League and is said to be valued at around £20 million at the Riverside Stadium.

Labelled "an exciting player" by Carlton Palmer, the 22-year-old has registered five goals and two assists in 36 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25.

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace will provide stiff competition for the rising star, who has created 47 chances in the English second-tier from the engine room.

Making advances ahead of the summer, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can convince Hackney that enough minutes will be on offer in North London to continue his rapid development.

Tottenham Hotspur are in for a crucial summer window under Ange Postecoglou and have now set their sights on a prolific scorer to bolster the pedigree of their forward line.

Tottenham Hotspur's summer transfer plans come to light

Upon assessment, Spurs have endured a disappointing campaign littered with inconsistency, yet could still snatch a backdoor route to Champions League qualification via clinching the Europa League title in May.

Ange Postecoglou has needed to weather the storm this season and the Australian's job security is said to be uncertain amid recent reports that Mauricio Pochettino could succeed the former Celtic boss.

Either way, he remains in position for now, and their transfer strategy this summer could begin with a move to north London for River Plate star Franco Mastantuono. Having made initial contact, the Lilywhites believe they could strike and deliver for a fee under his reported £38m release clause.

On the same token, Tottenham are in pole position for Wolverhampton Wanderers' full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is under contract in the West Midlands until the summer of 2026.

Sizing up potential targets on expiring deals could be a handy strategy, especially when factoring in the amount of finance left over to strengthen in other areas of the field.

Evaluating areas to bolster, Spurs' forward line stands out more than most due to Dominic Solanke's injury frustrations, which have limited the Three Lions international to 33 appearances this term.

Help could be on the way this summer, with Postecoglou now turning his attention to one of Europe's most prolific goalscorers, as per recent reports.

Tottenham in talks to sign Lille forward Jonathan David

According to a report in France via Sport Witness, Tottenham are in active discussions to sign Lille forward Jonathan David following the Canada international's excellent return of 23 goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances during 2024/25.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also on the case, while Borussia Dortmund provide further competition for his signature from the continent. Deemed an attractive option on the market due to his impending free agent status, the 25-year-old would favour a move to England over other destinations.

Labelled 'magical' by Alexandre Gangue-Ruzic, he has also been subject to a previous offer from West Ham United, but their interest has since fallen on deaf ears.

Continuing his fine spate of performances across the Channel, David also radiates a desire to bring others into play, with the forward creating 27 chances and completing 14 dribbles on league duty. Over the course of his career, he has struck 144 times in 327 outings.

Tottenham Hotspur have work to do in the summer window, and Ange Postecoglou has now found out how much it would take to bring one of his key targets to N17 amid recent reports.

Tottenham set their sights on squad rebuild this summer

Even the most optimistic Tottenham fan would admit this season hasn't gone to plan, even if they can still snatch a backdoor route to Champions League football by claiming the Europa League title in May.

Nevertheless, with Ange Postecoglou yet to convince the masses, a strong window is likely the perfect tonic for Spurs to return to being a recognisable force in 2025/26.

In what would be a blockbuster statement of intent, Tottenham are ready to go all in for Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres this summer following his 40-goal return for the reigning Portuguese champions.

Looking to fill the void left by Harry Kane, if the Sweden international shows willingness to seek a new challenge, that could speed up the process of a deal being concluded.

Contrariwise, Tottenham may need to source defensive reinforcements if Cristian Romero joins Real Madrid. The Argentina international is reportedly keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and has just over two years left on his contract in north London.

Defensive frailties have haunted Postecoglou this season, and injuries have forced the likes of Archie Gray and Djed Spence into unfamiliar roles, so losing someone with a World Cup-winning pedigree is undoubtedly something they won't want be on the agenda in the upcoming window.

Either way, fresh blood is needed to supplement a squad hampered by inconsistency under the Australian. Spurs have now found out the cost of a key defensive target, per recent developments.

Tottenham find out Rayan Ait-Nouri's price tag

Previously, reports emerged stating Tottenham had bid £29m for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, of whom they are said to be the most likely candidates to sign despite alternative interest from Liverpool and West Ham United.

Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke now claims it may take Spurs a 'huge' £40m to bring in Ait-Nouri this summer. The Molineux club face a fight to retain his services following a poor campaign in the West Midlands amid further admiration from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Concerns over Destiny Udogie's consistency have led to Djed Spence appearing on the left flank frequently, though the Englishman's lopsided nature, being naturally right-sided, has led Postecoglou and Daniel Levy to consider their options on the market.

Becoming a shining light in a tough campaign for Wolves, Algeria international Ait-Nouri has registered four goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

Furthermore, the 23-year-old has ranked as the Old Gold's second-most consistent Premier League performer behind Matheus Cunha, per WhoScored, chalking up an average match rating of 6.84/10.

Changes are coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Ait-Nouri may be the ideal candidate to perfect the balance between defence and attack on the left-hand side.

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered numerous injury problems and their need for a fit and available striker couldn't be more evident heading into the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur plan for summer of major change

Straddling the line between ecstasy and agony, Ange Postecoglou's final prayer of turning an inconsistent campaign into a memorable one rests on his side's ability to win this season's Europa League.

Currently at the quarter-final stage, navigating past Eintracht Frankfurt followed by either Lazio or Bodo/Glimt could secure a place in the final come May. In turn, claiming competition glory would go a long way to attracting talent this summer when evaluating the lure of Champions League football on offer.

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko are on Spurs' radar but would likely only be attainable should qualification for Europe's premier competition become possible.

Brighton's Jake Hinshelwood is a candidate to enrich Tottenham's midfield after his recent displays for Brighton & Hove Albion and may be an affordable target at the £34 million mark.

With the north Londoners in the market for stars with potential, there could be a significant sea change this summer that may pave the way for long-serving stars to depart as part of a new dawn.

That could also be the case managerially, as Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola could reportedly succeed Postecoglou if Daniel Levy decides to part ways with the Australian.

Much depends on the outcome of this campaign, albeit Spurs' Premier League exploits are likely to be a disappointing feature should they continue to produce inconsistent domestic results.

Now, there could be some light at the end of the tunnel as Tottenham are now willing to put forward a significant proposal to bring in one of Europe's most prolific forwards.

Tottenham prepared to submit super offer for Viktor Gyokeres

According to reports in Spain, Tottenham are prepared to break the bank to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting and are willing to make a 'super offer', despite his current employers' reluctance to let him leave this summer.

Possessing a high release clause at the Portuguese champions, it is said that willingness from the Sweden international to seek a new challenge in one of the world's elite environments could hasten the process of a big-money sale as Spurs look to finally fill the void left by Harry Kane.

Continuing his fine form, Gyokeres has registered an incredible 40 goals and 10 assists in 41 matches across all competitions, including six in eight Champions League encounters.

Labelled "fantastic" by Nico Kovac, the former Coventry City striker ranks as Sporting's best-performing player this campaign and has registered an average rating of 8.03 for his exploits in 2024/25, per WhoScored.

Firepower is necessary if Spurs have designs to establish themselves as one of England's premium forces again. Nevertheless, they aren't the only side who will want Gyokeres within their ranks this summer.
