Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alfie Devine this summer.

According to The Star, the Owls are not finished with their transfer plans, with two weeks still remaining in the current market.

Danny Rohl is keen to bolster his side, with the club targeting an improvement on their 20th place finish in the table last year.

The German head coach has earned a lot of plaudits for his work at the Yorkshire outfit since taking over late last year.

He oversaw a remarkable escape from relegation to League One, with the club being cut adrift at the bottom of the table when he took over in October 2023.

Sheffield Wednesday eye Alfie Devine

Devine could become the latest signing made by Sheffield Wednesday this summer, with the club looking to make space in the squad in order to sign him.

The 20-year-old was included in the Spurs first team squad during pre-season, but it is understood that they are open to sending him out on loan for this campaign.

The Owls are currently looking to offload players before pursuing any other signings, with Mallik Wilks the latest to depart.

Devine already has Championship experience under his belt, having spent the second half of last season on loan with Plymouth Argyle.

The youngster made 15 appearances in the league for the Pilgrims, including 14 starts, contributing two assists (all stats from Fbref).

The midfielder also spent the first half of the previous campaign on loan, playing in League One with Port Vale.

He made 20 appearances in the third tier, registering two goals and one assist before making the switch to Home Park in January.

While Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly targeting a number of signings before the market shuts, Devine is believed to be a concrete target for Rohl’s side.

Sheffield Wednesday’s 2024 summer transfer activity

It has been a very busy summer transfer window for Sheffield Wednesday so far.

Iké Ugbo has signed on a permanent basis after spending a stint on loan with the team in the second half of the previous term.

Olaf Kobacki, Yan Valery, Max Lowe, Jamal Lowe and Nathaniel Chalobah are among the other permanent signings, with James Beadle signing on loan from Brighton.

Sheffield Wednesday have added 10 fresh faces in total, as they look to become an even more competitive Championship side than last year.

Up next for Rohl’s side is a trip to face Sunderland on Sunday.

Devine could be a very exciting signing for Sheffield Wednesday

Devine joined a Plymouth side that struggled a lot in the second half of last season after Steven Schumacher departed for Stoke City.

But he is a very highly rated young prospect at Spurs, has been capped at U20 level for England, and did well under the circumstances last year at the Pilgrims.

Working under Rohl would be an exciting prospect for the 20-year-old given the excellent work he has done since taking over at Hillsborough.

If the Owls can get this deal over the line then it could prove a very smart bit of business to bolster their midfield options.

Leyton Orient set to beat Birmingham City to Tottenham signing

Jamie Donley is set to join Leyton Orient on loan, despite interest from Birmingham City, Luton Town, and Oxford United.

The talented 19-year-old attacker's impressive stats show his natural attacking ability, with 20 goals and assists in the previous season.

The Orient move makes sense for Donley's development, offering him more playing time and a familiar environment close to his parent club.

Leyton Orient are set to sign Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Donley on loan, amid reported interest from the likes of Birmingham City, Luton Town and Oxford United.

The 19-year-old attacker, who has been deployed as a left-back in Ange Postecoglu's Spurs side in pre-season, is going to join Richie Wellens' side on a temporary basis, according to Darren Witcoop.

Donley featured in five of his parent side's pre-season match-ups, racking up two assists in the process while playing way out of position. His numbers from the 2023/24 Premier League 2 campaign display how natural an attacking mind he has, with 20 combined goals and assists in as many appearances.

Leyton Orient to win race for Jamie Donley

Witcoop has stated that the teenager will be heading to the Orient, who have beaten off some strong competition to get his signature.

Their reported interest in the player stems back to last November, when TEAMtalk linked them and Charlton Athletic with Donley.

Since then, other EFL sides have also been named as prospective suitors, including Luton Town and Oxford United.

Birmingham looked like they could be the ones who acquired Donley for the season. Tom Barclay reported that their boss Chris Davies - former assistant to Postecoglu at Spurs - wanted to reunite with the youngster and bring him to St Andrew's.

The Blues' boss worked with the attacking midfielder during his time as the Aussie manager's right-hand man. This pre-established connection between the two could have been a big pulling factor for the 19-year-old.

At the time of Barclay's report, the north London side hadn't made a decision on Donley's future, but they, or the player himself, have seemingly chosen Wellens over the familiarity of Davies.

This will be the player's first ever loan move of his career, but his use by Postecoglu in pre-season displays the faith that Tottenham have in him. Witcoop has said that Donley will be one of a number of Spurs youngsters that will temporarily leave the club to join EFL sides this summer.

Donley will be the second Tottenham youth to go out on loan, after Oxford confirmed the season-long signing of Dane Scarlett on Monday evening.

Leyton Orient move makes sense for Donley

A player going out on loan for the first time can be a daunting experience. It's a totally different environment to the years of academy football that they would have experienced up to that point. Sending them somewhere closer to home makes life all the more easy.

With a nearby loan move, he will be able to remain where he is living and be close to his parent club.

There are also the footballing factors. At Birmingham, there's a chance, with the talent that they have, that Donley wouldn't get to play as much as he or Spurs would hope.

Sunderland eyeing transfer move for Tottenham attacker Dane Scarlett

Sunderland are reportedly taking a keen interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Dane Scarlett.

That's according to an exclusive report on Monday morning from journalist Michael Graham via Sunderland Nation, which reveals that the Black Cats are plotting a loan move for the highly-rated forward.

Scarlett, 20, is no stranger to the Championship nor the EFL for that matter, having spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan with Portsmouth in League One, prior to spending the first half of last season on loan with Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town,

The England youth international is a graduate of Spurs' academy system, and has made 17 first team appearances for the club.

Sunderland eyeing Scarlett swoop

The Black Cats made a winning start to their Championship season over the weekend with a 2-0 away win over Cardiff City, and the feel good factor around the club could be about to crank up another notch too.

That's because Graham's exclusive Monday report states that Sunderland hold a 'significant interest' in Scarlett, and is now the preferred option to fellow Spurs academy graduate Will Lankshear due to his greater experience at senior level.

Still regarded as a bright prospect for the future, it appears that a temporary move to the Stadium of Light would be all that the North London outfit would be willing to commission at this stage.

Graham comments that Scarlett's signing wouldn't put an end to Sunderland making further additions in the striking department either, with him being a compliment to the arrival of a more experienced centre-forward this summer.

SM Caen striker Alexandre Mendy has reportedly decided that Sunderland is where he wants to be playing his football for the foreseeable future, but as of yet, the two clubs have not been able to come to an agreement on a deal.

The Black Cats have found major success when going to the Spurs well for young talent in recent years, with Jack Clarke, Dennis Cirkin and Romaine Mundle all being on the books of the Premier League side prior to making the move to the North East.

Scarlett could solve Sunderland's striker problem

Le Bris has inherited a Sunderland squad that is littered with talented players, and has the look of a unit that could compete with the very best in the Championship this season.

But, if they do indeed intend to be among the promotion contenders coming into the home straight of the campaign, then an Achilles heel may well need to be addressed before dreams of a Premier League return can turn into concrete belief.

That's because what the Black Cats lacked in their squad last season was the presence of a true goal-scoring number nine, as the Wearsiders haven't yet replaced the goals of Ross Stewart.

Rather, they found themselves perhaps over-reliant on the form of Clarke in front of goal last season, with his 15 strikes being comfortably ahead of the next highest scorer last year, which was Jobe Bellingham's seven.

Indeed, Nazariy Rusyn's two league goals was the highest among Sunderland's crop of strikers last term, putting into perspective the need for strong additions in that department this summer.

Black Cats supporters won't want to see a strong squad being held back by a lack of cutting edge through the middle of the park once again this year, but if Scarlett could replicate his form from youth team football into the senior game, that would no longer be an issue.

As an indication of the talent he possesses, former Spurs manager José Mourinho said of Scarlett in 2021: "Dane has incredible talent. I don't want to speak too much because tomorrow I arrive in the building and the kid's boss is going to kill me. I don't want that so I don't want to speak too well about him.

"I just want to say that he will be 17 next month and I want him to be part of the first team squad next season. So this season he is there and here, goes to training sessions with us and matches with the kids of his age and trains there.

"Next season he has to be a first team player. Immense talent. Very good physical development. He's very good, he's going to be very good. I hope that nothing is going to destroy that potential. He must have feet on the ground and head on his shoulders because he has a fantastic talent."

Birmingham City: Tottenham decision pending as Chris Davies eyes Spurs player

Highlights

Birmingham City, led by manager Chris Davies, are pursuing Tottenham's young talent Jamie Donley for a loan deal.

City has stacked their squad with Championship-level players despite being in League One, with a budget of £20 million.

Donley's potential move is supported by Davies' past connection with him and an impressive performance record at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Donley is a target of Birmingham City, as manager Chris Davies tries to use his Spurs connections to get the deal done.

The 19-year-old who has been used at left-back in pre-season is wanted by Birmingham, according to Tom Barclay, who has called the League One side's attempt to bring in the player on loan as "ambitious."

That part of the pitch is a position that City aren't exactly short on. Not long ago, they announced the signing of Hearts' left-sided defender Alex Cochrane for a reported £1.3 million. They also have the likes of Emmanuel Longelo and Josh Williams, who can be used in that left-defensive role too.

It's been a summer of changes and overhauls following the Blues' relegation to League One, and they have a humongous warchest of riches to be able to buff out their already ludicrous squad.

£20 million was the reported budget that first-time manager Chris Davies has been given to work with. He joined Birmingham from Tottenham, succeeding Tony Mowbray after he officially left his position as boss of the club.

Davies has a strong coaching pedigree, and he's seemingly trying to use his connections at the highest level, as well as the ridiculous funds at his disposal, to improve this City side.

Birmingham pursue Tottenham's Jamie Donley

Donley is a reported target of a majority of the sides in the Championship and League One, according to Barclay. One of the those going after him is City, whom he has a slight connection with due to their boss.

Davies worked with the teenager during his time as Ange Postecolgu's right-hand man in north London.

Tottenham haven't decided what they are going to do with Donley yet, but the existing relationship that the Birmingham manager already has with the player and his parent club should hugely increase their chances of acquiring the bright talent.

In last season's Premier League 2 campaign, Donley, who has also been used in central midfield and as a number 10 in Spurs' recent pre-season friendlies, as well as at left-back, racked up a combined 20 goals and assists, helping Tottenham's under-21s side to win the youth competition.

He has already made three appearances in the Premier League, albeit they were all very brief ones at the end of games against Manchester City, Newcastle United and Brentford.

Birmingham are building a League One God squad

The amount of talent that the manager has at his disposal, with just less than a month to go until the deadline, is just insane. There may have never been a third tier team in history that is quite as stacked as this one.

They already had Championship-level players from the squad that got relegated. They've then added more options that are of a second tier standard, like Ryan Allsop.

Just to add to the devastation that they are about to cause, Birmingham then brought in two of the best players from last season's League One campaign: the top scorer, Alfie May, and one of the best loanees, Marc Leonard, on a permanent deal.

They've pushed all their chips into the middle of the table. Even if that doesn't work, and they don't get promoted at the first time of asking, they'll just go and buy some more and go again. Just bonkers stuff, really.

"Absolutely ecstatic" - Millwall, James Berylson claim issued following Japhet Tanganga coup

This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…

Millwall fans would have been on cloud nine this summer after former loanee Japhet Tanganga rejoined the club on a permanent transfer.

The Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate left the Premier League side to come back to the Lions, after playing a massive part in the Bermondsey outfit’s turnaround in the second-half of the last campaign.

The 25-year-old featured 18 times under Neil Harris during the Championship run-in, and helped keep a tight ship at the back for his temporary side, as well as popping up with major contributions at the other end of the pitch.

With that in mind, Football League World’s Millwall fan pundit Chris Chapman is delighted to see the defender back at The Den for the long-haul, after the defender tied his future down to the club at the beginning of the month.

Millwall make statement of intent with Japhet Tanganga signing

The fact that Millwall are said to have seen off competition from recently relegated Luton Town (as per the Sky Sports Transfer Centre, 07.06.24, 14:43) for Tanganga’s signature this summer speaks volumes for how mutual the love is between player and club.

Having been on the periphery for much of his time with Spurs, the defender found himself a home and a fanbase that took him under their wing in East London, as he contributed to a strong finish to the season at The Den.

Five straight victories to end the season shows just how strong the Lions were as the campaign came to a close, with Tanganga contributing towards four clean sheets in that spell as his partnership with Jake Cooper continued to evolve.

And with the defensive duo getting the chance to link up again in the season to come, Chapman - who runs the YouTube channel Chat with Chaps - is looking forward to that resilient backline being fielded once again, and he has also praised chairman James Berylson for pushing the boat out with the finances to bring Tanganga back to South Bermondsey.

The Millwall fan told FLW: “I was absolutely ecstatic when he signed, I hadn’t been that excited about a signing for a long time.

“That’s for a couple of reasons, we’ve had a number of good players come on loan to us over the years, and you think there’s a possibility of signing them permanently - like Charlie Cresswell, like Dan Ballard in recent years.

“They’ve gone on to go to other clubs, and frustratingly we’ve had to look on from afar, and I thought it could be the same with Japhet Tanganga.

“But to get him over the line on a permanent deal is fantastic for the club, and to me it just shows the level of investment they’re prepared to spend, particularly on wages as he was on a free.

“In terms of how good he is, he was outstanding for the last 13 games under Neil Harris.

“He took a bit of time to get into his groove, he hadn’t played a lot of football, and he hasn’t in his career, he’s still only started just over 50 games in his professional career.

“But he’s a good age, we’ve tied him down to a long-term contract, and I think between him and Jake Cooper - as long as they can remain fit - we have a really solid backline, which is what any good Millwall team is built upon.

“So I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do together, and I firmly believe he’s going to be a fans’ favourite, so I’m very excited for the signing, and overall I think it’s fair to say the summer transfer business has been very good so far."

Japhet Tanganga contributes to outstanding Millwall defensive record

Having found the back of the net just 45 times in the previous campaign, it was imperative that Millwall kept a tight ship at the other end to stand any chance of staying in the division.

After being reinstated as Lions boss in February, Harris [pictured] made the most of Tanganga’s presence at the back to keep his side in matches during the run-in, as the East Londoners conceded just nine times once their former boss was back in the dugout.

With just 55 goals conceded across the campaign, Millwall had a better defensive record than runners-up Ipswich Town, which goes to show how well drilled the side are in defensive positions.

As well as that, Tanganga contributed to his side’s prowess from set-pieces in the previous campaign, with only three sides scoring more than their 15 from dead ball scenarios.

Barnsley set to seal Tottenham transfer agreement

Barnsley are set to complete the loan signing of midfielder Matthew Craig from Tottenham.

That's according to a report from Football Insider, who say a number of other clubs had also shown an interest in the 21-year-old.

Having come through the youth ranks with Spurs, Craig made what is to date his only first-team appearance for the club in a 4-1 win over Leeds United in the Premier League in May 2023.

He then spent the second-half of last season on loan with Doncaster Rovers, helping them reach the League Two play-offs, where they were beaten in the semi-finals by Crewe Alexandra.

But despite that, it now looks as though Craig himself is still about to be given the chance to show what he can do in League One this season.

Barnsley set for Tottenham transfer agreement

As per this latest update, Barnsley are now set to complete the loan signing of Craig for the coming campaign.

It is thought that a number of clubs had been keen to sign the midfielder this summer. However, the Tykes are said to have moved quickly to secure his services.

Craig has apparently agreed to a temporary move to Oakwell, and undergone a medical ahead of the deal being confirmed.

The midfielder still has two years remaining on his current contract with Tottenham, securing his future in North London until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Barnsley finished sixth in the regular League One season in 2023/24, but then missed out on promotion to the Championship after defeat to Bolton Wanderers in the play-off semi-finals.

They will of course, now be looking to improve on that this time around, having appointed Darrell Clarke as their new manager since the end of the season.

This summer, the Tykes have already made three new senior signings, with Jackson Smith and the returning duo of Conor Hourihane and Marc Roberts completing permanent moves to Oakwell.

Barnsley are scheduled to begin their 2024/25 campaign on Friday 9th August, when they host newly promoted Mansfield Town at Oakwell.

Matthew Craig could be a good addition for the Tykes

It does look as though Craig could be a useful new recruit for the senior squad at Oakwell in the coming campaign.

The departure of Herbie Kane and end of Conor Grant's loan means that the Tykes may well need some extra depth in the centre of the park for next season.

Completing the signing of the young Spurs man would give them that for the coming campaign, and it will be interesting to see how he does at Oakwell.

Craig's arrival at Doncaster back in January coincided with an excellent run of form for Grant McCann's side, that allow them to come from way down the table to claim a play-off spot.

With the 21-year-old now playing one division higher this season - should he complete this move - there will be plenty keen to see how he copes with that step up.

If he can make a similar impact again this time around, he could be a big asset for Clarke's side, and this experience will have aided his development as well.

Leeds United suffer initial setback in pursuit of new Tottenham transfer

Leeds United targeting Oliver Skipp after signing Joe Rodon permanently.

The player could come in on loan, with a potential buy option included.

However, Spurs are keen to secure a replacement before Skipp leaves, which could delay a deal.

Leeds United are set to make a fresh bid for Oliver Skipp.

That's according to Planet Sport, who believe that the Whites are continuing to target a second Tottenham Hotspur player after managing to conclude a deal to sign Joe Rodon permanently.

Leeds have been active in the summer transfer window, following their disappointing play-off final defeat against Southampton in May, but they have needed to lose a key player in order to secure some solid additions.

Archie Gray made the move to Spurs earlier in the summer to balance the books - and it was a painful departure for the Whites who would have been desperate to keep hold of what was their most talented young player.

At just 18, Gray had managed to establish himself as one of the West Yorkshire side's most important players and in the end, that allowed him to earn a move to the English capital.

Rodon's arrival helped to soften the blow - and they have also managed to bring in the talented Joe Rothwell on loan.

Rothwell has been a real asset in midfield at this level before - and could be a vital player for Daniel Farke's side during the 2024/25 campaign.

Alex Cairns, meanwhile, has come in to strengthen the club's goalkeeping department.

There's plenty of work to be done before the season starts, particularly at right-back, but they have made a solid start to the window and still have weeks to go until 2024/25 begins.

Leeds United face barrier in quest to sign Oliver Skipp

Glen Kamara looks set to leave Elland Road for French top-tier side Stade Rennais - and with Gray already leaving - his departure would leave a hole in the middle of the park that needs to be filled.

The likes of Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu and Rothwell may be available as options, but they need more depth in the middle of the park.

It has been reported by Planet Sport that Leeds have retained their interest in Skipp and will make a fresh move for the player when Kamara officially secures his exit.

Having been told that he was unavailable when Gray was in the process of being sold, they could be set to return to the table with an offer.

However, Spurs are thought to be keen to replace Skipp before sanctioning an exit for the midfielder, who could join the Whites on a loan deal with a permanent option potentially being included.

Tottenham's preference could potentially delay a deal from being struck.

Oliver Skipp could be a vital addition for Leeds United

Looking at the club's midfield department, they definitely require additions.

Right now, Leeds don't have many options in central defence either, so Ampadu could be required to step up in that area.

That would leave Leeds with even fewer options in the middle of the park, so recruiting at least a couple of midfielders will be crucial after Kamara's departure.

Gruev was linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer as well, so potentially replacements may need to be lined up as potential replacements for him if he goes.

In terms of Skipp, he has managed to do a respectable job at the top level and has EFL experience under his belt.

He has also played under Farke before, which should allow him to make a positive start to life at Elland Road if he makes the switch to West Yorkshire.

Michael Dawson made 132 appearances for Hull City during his four-season spell at the club.

The central defender signed for Hull from Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £3.5m in the summer of 2014, after the Tigers had finished 16th in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final the previous season.

Dawson was 30-years-old at the time of the move, having spent just under a decade at Spurs, where he had become club captain. However, he still had plenty left to give and turned out to be an excellent signing for Hull.

He arrived during the same transfer window that saw the likes of Abel Hernandez, Robert Snodgrass, Mohamed Diame, Jake Livermore, Andy Robertson and Harry Maguire sign for the Tigers under manager Steve Bruce.

Dawson was a successful signing for Hull

It did not take long for Dawson to captain Hull for the first time, as he was given the armband for a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park just a few months after making his debut.

He scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 home win over Liverpool, when he headed home Ahmed El Mohamady's cross in the first half to secure a memorable victory for Hull in their fight against the drop.

Unfortunately, Dawson's debut season ended in relegation for Hull as they finished 18th in the Premier League, three points adrift of Aston Villa, and returned to the Championship.

The 2015/16 campaign turned out to be an iconic one for the Tigers, as they bounced back to the top flight at the first time of asking. Dawson captained Hull to promotion, with Diame's stunning strike in the play-off final at Wembley sealing a 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday and ensuring that the club would return to the Premier League.

Dawson scored six goals over the course of the next two seasons, as the Tigers were relegated once again before the 2017/18 Championship campaign turned out to be his last for the club.

The defender's aerial ability, defensive awareness and leadership qualities endeared him to the Hull supporters, with the victory against Liverpool and lifting the trophy after the play-off final standing out as moments that will live long in the memory of the fans.

Dawson has enjoyed success since leaving Hull

Dawson left Hull and joined Nottingham Forest in 2018, the club that he started his career with before signing for Tottenham. He spent three years at the City Ground before announcing his retirement in the summer of 2021.

He returned to Hull with Forest during the 2018/19 season and played 90 minutes as his side won 2-0. Dawson didn't lose any of the five games he played against the Tigers throughout his career.

Since retiring, Dawson has been a club ambassador for Tottenham as well as a pundit in the media. He is fondly remembered by fans of the clubs he played for, and Hull fans are no exception.

Dawson was a key figure at the heart of the Tigers' defence during four exciting seasons that were spent either battling relegation or fighting for promotion, and his passion, commitment and ability meant that he was a well-respected player during his time at the club.

Signing the defender for £3.5m from Spurs turned out to be a very good decision from Hull.

Joe Rodon: How much was Leeds United's new signing earning at Tottenham?

Leeds United have signed defender Joe Rodon from Tottenham Hotspur, as they prepare for another season in the Championship.

The defender spent last season on loan at Elland Road and played every minute of Leeds' play-off campaign as they were beaten by Southampton in the final at Wembley.

Rodon has now signed permanently in a deal worth in the region of £10m as the Whites look to go one better next season and seal a return to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has played for five clubs so far in his career. He started at Swansea City, and had a short spell on loan at Cheltenham Town, before signing for Tottenham Hotspur in 2020 for an initial fee of £11m.

The Welsh international spent a season on loan at Rennes in Ligue 1 and then joined Leeds on a temporary basis for the 2023/24 campaign. Now, the Whites have become his third permanent club and he will be hoping that he can make it back to the top flight with them as soon as possible.

Rodon has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Elland Road. With the help of Capology's estimations, we've examined what the centre-back was earning at former club Tottenham and where that fits in amongst the salaries of the Leeds squad.

It must be taken into consideration that the data provided by Capology are estimations and not official figures.

Joe Rodon's earnings during his time at Spurs

According to Capology, when Rodon signed for Tottenham from Swansea, his wage increased from £8,077 per week to £9,615 per week.

That would have seen him receive an extra £80,000 per year, with an annual salary of £500,000.

The centre-back spent four seasons in total on the books at Spurs, although he spent two of them out on loan, meaning that he would have netted £2,000,000 during his time in North London.

He made 24 first team appearances for Tottenham in his time at the club and played 1,338 minutes. That means he was paid over £80,000 per appearance for Spurs, and just under £1,500 per minute on the pitch, although some of those wages are likely to have been covered by Rennes and Leeds during the seasons he spent at those clubs.

Joe Rodon's earnings compared to Leeds United players

Capology have not yet provided any figures regarding Rodon's new salary at Leeds, although many of the players' estimated wages are available to access.

Ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, only five players are set to be paid less than £10,000 per week. Georginio Rutter and Patrick Bamford will be the Whites' joint-highest earners, receiving £70,000 per week and £3,640,000 per annum. Daniel James, Pascal Struijk, and Junior Firpo are the other three Leeds players on at least £50,000 per week.

According to the data, Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are paid £15,000 and £20,000 per week respectively.

If Rodon has agreed on a similar salary to the one he was on at Tottenham, he will rank among the lowest earners at Elland Road next season. However, he may have negotiated a better deal amid Premier League interest earlier in the summer.

While the information above is interesting, it is important to remember that all figures used are merely estimates using data from Capology.

Leeds United, Spurs and Blackburn Rovers must share same Paul Robinson feeling: View

Paul Robinson had successful stints at Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers, and Tottenham Hotspur, making over 100 appearances for each club.

Robinson played a crucial role in Leeds' historic Champions League journey and scored a memorable goal for Tottenham.

He ended his career with Burnley, making three appearances, but his impact on the former trio will be most remembered.

Veteran goalkeeper Paul Robinson had long stints at three English clubs and his performances mean he will be remembered fondly by each of the trio.

He made well in excess of 100 appearances for each of Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur in a career that spanned 16 years.

A brief stint in the 2016/17 season saw him end his career with Burnley, making three appearances for the then-Premier League side, but it is the former trio that he will be most remembered for.

Ever-dependable, he is relatively rare in that he left a strong impression on every club he turned out for.

Strong beginnings at Leeds

As is so often the case with a young talent from Yorkshire, Robinson came through the academy at Leeds and managed to put himself in the frame for the no.1 spot in the 1998/99 season, making five Premier League appearances that season.

It was two seasons later, in 2000/01, that the stopper would next progress to stardom, turning out 16 times in England's top flight and taking the Whites on an incredible Champions League journey. He helped the side earn draws against heavyweights like Barcelona, AC Milan and Real Madrid, whilst also providing clean sheets in a win and a draw against Lazio and Besiktas respectively.

Those years represented a historic chapter in Leeds' story, and Robinson was right there, in the thick of the action.

The goalkeeper sparked back into life in 2002/03, becoming Elland Road's main man for two consecutive seasons before being lured away by Tottenham.

He made 118 appearances in total for Leeds and even managed to bag himself a goal; an injury-time header against Swindon Town in the League Cup.

Robinson was heavily relied on at Spurs

Having nearly moved to White Hart Lane months earlier, Robinson completed a £1.5million move to Spurs in the summer of 2004.

He would go on to be the Lilywhites' main man between the sticks for the following four seasons. He'd already made his England debut, but it was during his time with the north London club that he truly nailed down his place as the main Three Lions gloveman, playing every minute of their 2006 World Cup campaign.

As he was so consistent at each of his three clubs, it's difficult to conclude where Robinson peaked, but his time at Spurs would provide a strong case when considered alongside his international career.

Quite incredibly for a goalkeeper, Robinson also scored for Spurs, this time in the Premier League from a free-kick deep inside his own half that fortuitously bounced over the head of Watford's Ben Foster.

Seeing out his career with Blackburn

Aside from his handful of appearances for Burnley, the main era of Robinson's playing career drew to a close at Blackburn Rovers.

He signed for the Blue and Whites in July 2008 for a reported fee of £3.5million and went on to have three full Premier League seasons with the club, before Rovers suffered relegation in the 2011/12 season.

Robinson stuck by Rovers and remained at the club for the following three seasons, appearing less regularly and seeing out the final years of his career in the Championship.

He made 201 appearances for the Lancashire club, the most he made for any single team throughout his career.

Solid and dependable, Robinson was one of the early figures between the sticks who could also contribute to the team in a footballing sense, alongside the bread-and-butter work of stopping shots, where many 'keepers that had gone before him saw their talent stop.

With a solid career comprised of lengthy stints at three huge clubs, plus a very respectable England career; it is easy to see why Robinson will remain fondly remembered in equal parts at the trio of clubs that he spent most of his career.
