Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keen on signing the Palmeiras defender Marcus Vinnicius.

The 17-year-old has been a key player for the Palmeiras youth team and the two English clubs are keen on securing his signature as per PL Brasil. He could be a quality long-term investment for them and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham or Newcastle come forward with an official offer to sign the player.

Vinnicius certainly has the potential to play for the biggest clubs in the world and he would be a long-term investment for the two English clubs. The technically gifted defender will add defensive cover and recovery pace to the side as well. Tottenham have been very proactive when it comes to improving their defensive unit and they have already brought in players like Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin. It seems that they are looking to bring in a left-sided full-back now.

The Brazilian will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining a club like Tottenham and they could nurture him into a key player in the coming seasons.

Newcastle want to sign Marcus Vinnicius

Newcastle would be an exciting destination for him as well. They have an ambitious project and the player will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining them. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

If the two English clubs managed to sign the Brazilian for a reasonable price, it could prove to be a bargain move for them in the long term. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton wanderers are keeping tabs on his situation as well.

The defender is expected to sign a new contract with Palmeiras and they will look to include £85 million release clause in his contract. The new deal is expected to be signed this week, and the Brazilian outfit are looking to tie him down to the professional contract until 2026 with the option to extend until 2029.

Tottenham are ahead of Newcastle in the race for Wolves star Pedro Neto as he’s attracted by the prospect of Europa League football according to reports.

Spurs are looking to strengthen a squad which missed out on Champions League football last season and have added talented teenager Archie Gray to their ranks from Leeds, whilst they have also extended Timo Werner’s loan move from RB Leipzig.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are known to be looking for more attacking reinforcements and have identified Neto as a target.

Tottenham ahead of Newcastle in the race for Neto

Neto has been one of Wolves’ best players over the years, but injury issues limited him to 24 appearances in all competitions last season, and he scored three goals and provided 11 assists.

Wolves know they are likely going to have to sell one or more of their key players this summer, but having sold Max Kilman to West Ham in a deal worth £40m they may not be under as much pressure to part ways with Neto.

The 24-year-old can now fully focus on his future following Portugal’s elimination from Euro 2024 and is attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

GIVEMESPORT report that Spurs have the edge over Newcastle in the race for the Portugal international because they can offer Europa League football, whilst the opportunity to live in London is also thought to be attractive.

The report adds that two other Premier League clubs have been made aware of Neto’s availability and could make a move before the season starts.

GIVEMESPORT state that Neto’s agent Jorge Mendes could look to create a bidding war for his client amongst potential suitors.

Wolves are thought to value the Portuguese at around £60m and it’s likely any opening bid from Tottenham would be below that mark as they look to test the waters.

Spurs are also thought to be interested in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze and it would seem unlikely they would go in for both players, so they will seemingly have a decision to make.

Tottenham willing to lose over £20m in order to offload 27-year-old flop - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur need to have a decent transfer window this summer if they’re to improve on their fifth placed finish last season.

The North Londoners looked odds on at one point to qualify for next season’s Champions League, but they were eventually beaten to the post by Aston Villa.

Just two points separated them from Unai Emery’s side at the end of the campaign, and with Spurs losing five of their last seven matches in the English top-flight, winning the other two against relegated Burnley and Sheffield United, they’ve really only got themselves to blame.

Tottenham prepare to cash in on Sergio Reguilon

That’s all in the past of course, and Ange Postecoglou will surely want everyone to be looking forward and willing to correct the mistakes of the past 12 months.

The squad started like a house on fire under the Australian and it wasn’t long before his name was heartily being sung from the stands, however, the longer the season went on, the more marked the drop off in performance became.

One player that can’t be blamed for Spurs’ malaise is Sergio Reguilon, as he was sent on loan to Man United and then Brentford for the entirety of the campaign.

Now Football Insider are reporting that the North Londoners are looking to cash in. That said, the outlet suggest a fee of just £10m will be enough to prise him from Tottenham, who paid a whopping £32m for him back in 2020.

It isn’t clear at this point if there are any interested parties, even though they might consider Reguilon as a bargain signing.

At 27, it’s generally thought to be about the time a player peaks, and with years still ahead of him in the game, £10m is peanuts.

Any sale would get his wages off the books too, and would leave Tottenham in the enviable position of being able to utilise those funds elsewhere.

25-year-old set for Tottenham exit, clubs could wrap up negotiations this week - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and AC Milan are keen on securing his signature.

According to a report from PL Brasil, Milan have already had an offer of around €15 million rejected for the 25-year-old Brazilian defender and they are expected to return with a new offer close to €20 million which will be accepted.

The report states that negotiations between the two clubs will be concluded this week. The Brazilian defender has already given his approval to move to the Italian club and it remains to be seen whether they can secure an agreement over the fee.

Emerson Royal would improve AC Milan

The 25-year-old has been a useful squad player for Tottenham and he should prove to be a quality addition to the AC Milan defence as well. He is not a regular starter for the North London club and he needed to leave in search of regular playing time. It remains to be seen whether he can establish himself as a regular starter for the Italian outfit.

Emerson is versatile enough to operate on both flanks as the full back, and he could be an asset for Milan if he manages to adapt to Italian football quickly and hit the ground running. Further more, he has the quality and the experience to justify the €20 million investment as well. The Brazilian defender has shown his quality in La Liga and in the Premier League over the years. He has the ability to shine in Serie A as well.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to bring in a quality replacement for him in the remaining weeks of the transfer window. They will need a capable backup option to Pedro Porro, who is currently the first choice right back at the club.

23 goals in 30 games: Tottenham long-term admirers of 23-year-old attacker - CaughtOffside
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord this summer.

They are looking to bring in a quality replacement for Harry Kane who left the club last summer. Tottenham have certainly missed the England international this past season and they are now looking to fill the void left by him.

According to Football Insider, Gimenez is a long-term target for the North London club and they are impressed with his performances. The Mexican international striker scored 23 goals in 30 league games last season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can secure an agreement with for his signature.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be an exciting proposition for the striker and he could look to compete for trophies with the North London club next season.

Tottenham have an exciting project at their disposal and they will look to do well in multiple competitions. They will be competing in the Premier League as well as the Europa league next season and they need a deeper squad.

Tottenham need Santiago Gimenez

Signing a top quality striker should be a priority for Tottenham before the summer transfer window closes and Gimenez would be a quality long-term investment. The 23-year-old is only going to improve with coaching and experience and he could develop into an indispensable asset for Tottenham.

The 23-year-old striker certainly has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he will look to make his mark in English football next season.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord could demand a premium for their prized prospect and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to break the bank for him. The Mexican is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition after his performances in recent seasons.

Tottenham need top quality players in order to compete with the Premier League elite and the 23-year-old would be the ideal acquisition.

Real Madrid credited with interest in Tottenham wonder kid

This summer could turn into a hugely important one for Tottenham Hotspur.

With Ange Postecoglou making his mark on the club over the past 12 months, the club’s board need to back him in the transfer market in order for the squad to improve on their final position in 2023/24.

It’ll be a tough ask, but the Australian has said on more than one occasion in press conferences that he isn’t interested in just aiming for Champions League qualification.

Mikey Moore happy at Tottenham

Whilst a new signing or two will likely have the desired effect in terms of competition for places, it’s important for the North Londoners that they keep hold of their best players.

Though 16-year-old Mikey Moore could be said to be far from that at the moment, he’s clearly a talent that has a very bright future in the game.

According to HITC, both Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish giants, Real Madrid, have been credited with an interest in signing the wonder kid.

Though the report goes on to note that Tottenham have no interest in allowing the player to leave and, apparently, the player and his representatives are perfectly happy for him to remain with the club.

Daniel Levy will need to ensure Spurs show some ambition in the transfer market, however.

For far too long now the North Londoners have been seen as something of a sleeping giant. A club and a team that have all of the ingredients to be successful but have always fallen short.

That they’ve not won a trophy for the past 16 years puts Postecoglou’s challenge into some sort of perspective.

If Spurs are able to secure some silverware during 2024/25, then it puts down a marker and makes the job of keeping youngsters such as Mikey Moore that much easier.

Tottenham could swap player Unai Emery knows well for Jacob Ramsey

Just over a week into the transfer window and the plans of various clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, are beginning to take shape.

Ever since his introduction into English football a year ago, Ange Postecoglou has appeared to have a clear idea of exactly what he wants in order to turn the Lilywhites into a real force domestically and, ideally, in the Champions League.

Tottenham offering Lo Celso and cash for Ramsey

Missing out on qualifying for the latter would surely have irked the Australian, particularly given that for long periods the North Londoners were comfortably inside the Premier League’s top four.

That will provide motivation for both manager and his players for the forthcoming campaign, and with pre-season having already begun for those players not selected for their countries for various competitions this summer, there’s no time to lose.

There’s also the small matter of player outgoings for two reasons; to give the manager more money to play with during the transfer window, and to rid the squad of what might be considered ‘dead wood.’

According to WhoScored, Giovani Lo Celso only managed 701 minutes under Postecoglou last season, and not once did he manage to complete 90 minutes.

Sky Sports note that the Argentinian is being offered to Aston Villa – who got into the UCL at Spurs’ expense – as a makeweight in Tottenham’s attempts to land highly-rated Jacob Ramsey.

Lo Celso is well known to Villa manager, Unai Emery, of course having played for him at Villarreal and Paris Saint-Germain, though the outlet suggest the Villains aren’t keen to part with their midfielder at this point.

Regardless of whether Spurs can eventually construct a deal that satisfies both Villa and Ramsey himself, it would seem that Lo Celso’s career in North London is over.

Tottenham monitoring two top strikers but Ange Postecoglou may still play Son up front

Tottenham are keeping an eye on the striker market throughout this summer with Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Brentford’s Ivan Toney viewed as the ideal players to fill the role in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

The Australian coach lost his main goalscorer in Harry Kane last summer before the Premier League got underway and the North London club’s hierarchy failed to find their new coach a replacement.

That forced the former Celtic boss to play Son Heung-min or Richarlison in the number nine spot, which could also be an option for the 2024/25 campaign.

Football Insider report that Tottenham could play their South Korean captain through the middle during the upcoming season and sign a wideman to take his place on the wings. The same outlet states that Wolves’ Perdo Neto and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze are options for the North London side but no official proposals have been submitted.

Most Tottenham fans would prefer to see their club sign a proper number nine and Spurs have their eyes on two targets should they go down that route.

Tottenham monitoring Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and Brentford’s Ivan Toney

Both Gimenez and Toney are great options for Tottenham but both are different profiles and at different points in their careers.

The Mexican striker is a long-term target for Spurs and impressed last season in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, scoring 23 goals and producing a further six assists across 30 games in the Dutch top flight.

The forward is also only 23 and would have more room to develop under Postecoglou.

As for Toney, the England international is an established Premier League goalscorer and would need no time to adjust at Tottenham.

The 28-year-old is an elite marksman and is exactly what Spurs need as he is also brilliant at bringing other players into a game. Brentford are open to selling their biggest star this summer as he has just one year remaining on his current contract, which could open up a path for Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou can only sign one £60m star as Tottenham eye Premier League duo

Ange Postecoglu is looking to add a new wide man to his Tottenham side this summer but Spurs will only be able to sign one of their targets as they continue to monitor Premier League duo.

The North London outfit are short on options on the wings and it is an area the Premier League club would like to strengthen to take the pressure off players such as Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham are interested in Wolves’ Perdo Neto and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze ahead of the new season, but Spurs would only be able to sign one of the duo.

The report says that the Premier League clubs want around £50-60m for their big stars, which means Tottenham will have to pick which one to pursue over the coming weeks.

Signing either wide man will be difficult for the London outfit as Crystal Palace will try to keep hold of Eze this summer after allowing Michael Olise to depart for Bayern Munich; while Wolves will not make it easy for one of their top-flight rivals to sign their best player.

Which player should Tottenham make a move for?

If Tottenham can only sign one of these players, the best option for Spurs would be Eze given his versatility and the consistency he has shown in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old had a brilliant campaign last time around as he produced 11 goals and four assists across 27 Premier League appearances, which earned him a place in the England squad for Euro 2024.

The Crystal Palace ace would also be a safer bet than Neto as the Portuguese star has a very poor fitness record and is prone to miss large parts of campaigns due to injury issues.

The Wolves winger is a top talent but if Tottenham are to part ways with £60m for either player, Eze would be the better option.
