Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a Bosman move for the former Manchester United academy graduate Angel Gomes.

Tottenham are constantly on the lookout for great opportunities in the market and they seem to have found one in Angel Gomes. According to a report from Football Insider, the North London club are very keen on signing the LOSC Lille star on a free transfer in the summer.

Gomes’ contract at the French club runs out at the end of the season and he has made it quite clear that he won’t pen down a new deal. With him available for free, multiple top clubs are willing to enter a bidding war.

West Ham are amongst his admirers and they have stepped up their interest in him as they look to back Graham Potter in the market. While the Hammers are keen, they will face significant competition from Postecoglou’s team, who are long-standing suitors of the midfielder.

They have been scouting him for some time and consider him a great fit for their project. The Australian manager is keen on bringing him back to the Premier League. He feels they lack quality options in the centre of the park, and the Manchester United academy graduate could help their cause. While things didn’t work out for him at Old Trafford, his move to Lille has been instrumental in his development, even earning him a spot in the England national team.

Gomes could be an asset because of his versatility

Gomes prefers playing as a ten, but he can be deployed in a deeper role as well as on the flanks when needed. He could provide competition to James Maddison for the number ten role. He has been likened to the Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.

Reinforcing the midfield will be one of their top priorities in the summer, and with Gomes available for free, Tottenham won’t want to miss out on him. But, since there is a lot of interest in his signature, they will have to move quickly to ensure they can bring him to the club.

Description

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is interested in strengthening several positions at the club in the summer transfer window.

Spurs have struggled to perform this season and injuries have played a huge role in that.

There is a desperate need to increase the strength and depth of their squad and the North London club are ready to address that issue after the season.

According to Caught Offside sources, Tottenham remain interested in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The England international, who was called ‘exceptional’ by former Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate, has caught the attention of the biggest clubs in the Premier League with his consistent performances.

The centre-back has been rock solid for Palace this season, having made 27 appearances for them in the league and scoring three goals as well as providing two assists.

Spurs were also interested in signing Guehi in the January transfer window but their attempt was rejected by the South London club as they did not want to lose their star player in the middle of the season.

However, Postecoglou’s team are planning to open negotiations to sign the defender again in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham face competition to sign the Crystal Palace defender

Tottenham will compete with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United for the player after this season.

Premier League leaders Liverpool have also shown interest in signing the player and have been described as ‘front of the queue’ to win the race to sign him.

Crystal Palace have demanded £75-80 million for the defender in the past, a valuation which has put off interested clubs in signing Guehi.

Sources close to the player have indicated that he is keen on leaving Crystal Palace after this season and he is ready to speak to them in order to demand a move away from Selhurst Park.

The English defender is considering requesting a contract until 2030 from the interested clubs.

Insider: Daniel Levy could sack key Tottenham figure after January disaster

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles this season have not been limited to on-field performances, as concerns over the club’s management decisions continue to grow.

They suffered a 1-0 defeat to AZ in the Europa League first-leg on Thursday in what was one of their worst performances this season. The European competition is their final hope of a silverware this season after having been knocked out of the FA Cup as well as the League cup while they site 13th in the Premier League.

Ange has not had it easy, with injuries being one of the reasons behind their failed campaign. The Australian has been without several of his key first-team players for the majority of the season. In particular, the club had a bad situation in attack with the likes of Solanke, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Odobert and Brennan Johnson al out together at one point.

They also had faced a similar problem in defence with the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies, and Radu Dragusin all out injured.

This left the club in desperate need of reinforcements in January, however, the club did not have the best of transfer windows as they struggled to sign their key targets.

Daniel Levy not happy with Johan Lange’s performance

Chairman Daniel Levy is now reportedly evaluating the future of sporting director Johan Lange, following widespread dissatisfaction with Spurs’ handling of the January transfer window.

The club’s inability to secure crucial reinforcements during a period of mounting injuries left many supporters frustrated, increasing pressure on Lange.

The winter window was viewed as a pivotal moment for Tottenham to strengthen their squad, yet the club failed to address key areas, raising doubts about Lange’s effectiveness in his role.

According to club insider John Wenham, Lange’s standing within the club has significantly weakened, with his credibility diminishing after a disappointing transfer window.

Wenham pointed out that Levy and manager Ange Postecoglou had to intervene to push through a deal for Mathys Tel after Lange’s initial failure to secure the signing—an event that may have damaged his reputation beyond repair.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham said:

“This season has been an absolute disaster.

“Therefore, I wouldn’t say it is without possibility that Lange could be relieved of his duties very quickly at the end of the season. His credibility is pretty low at the moment.

“Daniel Levy and Postecoglou had to get involved to get a deal done for Tel after Lange failed originally. It is embarrassing. As a result, I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who have been involved with recent failures, except the ownership, are removed at the end of the season, and that includes Lange.”

Tottenham’s performance in the January transfer window

Tottenham completed three signings in January. Czech goalkeeper Antonín Kinský arrived from Slavia Prague for £12.5 million to provide depth in the goalkeeping department amid injuries to Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster.

Austrian centre-back Kevin Danso joined on loan from RC Lens with an option to buy for €25 million, reinforcing the defence. Meanwhile, French forward Mathys Tel was signed on loan from Bayern Munich with a €55 million purchase clause, bolstering Spurs’ attacking options.

However, these additions were not enough to turn Tottenham’s season around. With the club sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table and struggling in the Europa League, significant changes are expected this summer.

If Levy decides to shake things up, Spurs could part ways with Lange and bring in a new sporting director to oversee the squad rebuild and help steer the club back on course.

Tottenham told January signing Kevin Danso is not good enough

Description

Tottenham Hotspur signed the Austrian defender Kevin Danso on loan during the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old defender was brought in to add more quality and depth to the defensive unit. Cristian Romeo and Micky van de Ven have had persistent injury problems this season and Tottenham needed more depth at the back.

They decided to sign the Austrian on loan with an obligation to buy. However, former Premier League striker Troy Deeney believes that Danso is simply not good enough. He also claims that Tottenham have wasted their money on the player.

The former Watford striker added that Radu Dragusin is not a quality addition either, and the money could have been better spent elsewhere.

“None of the players that they have brought in have hit the ground running,” Deeney said on talkSPORT.

“Again, Spurs fans are going to go mad but this is the harsh truth. The centre-half, Danso, was going to go to Wolves. That’s it, enough said.

“He was at Southampton when I was running past him, and I can’t run past f*** all. You’ve wasted money. [Radu] Dragusin, £25million on Dragusin. There’s £50m on two centre-halves who are f****** s***.

“You’ve got to look at recruitment. Again, the two centre-halves I’m on about, you’re going to be mad at me, but it’s the truth. I’ve watched enough football to know this Premier League ain’t for you.”

Can Danso prove himself?

It will be interesting to see if players like Danso and Dragusin can prove Deeney wrong in the coming months. Dragusin was highly rated across Europe before he joined Tottenham and Danso was a reliable performer for Lens before he joined Tottenham on loan.

Both players have the physicality and the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether they can succeed in English football with Tottenham.

The North London outfit have looked quite vulnerable defensively this season and they have had a disappointing season so far. They need to tighten up at the back if they want to finish the season strongly. Having quality defenders will be a top priority for them.

Tottenham are planning to cash in on one of the players they signed 2022.

With Spurs struggling to perform this season which has lead to reports of the club’s hierarchy looking for a new manager, they are ready to move out their underperforming players in the summer transfer window.

One of their biggest recent disappointments in terms of transfer business has been midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Since joining the club from Brighton, he has failed to hit the heights expected from him and his development as a player has stalled.

Postecoglou is now looking to offload the midfielder in the summer transfer window with Crystal Palace keen on signing him.

John Wenham has told Tottenham News that he expects the African midfielder to leave Spurs and join Palace.

“I’m sure Bissouma would be interested in joining Palace,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.

“It would allow him to stay in London and the Premier League. Therefore, if Adam Wharton does move on, we could maybe sell Bissouma to Palace for about £15million.

“I’m sure if he was available at that kind of price, a club like Palace would take a chance on Bissouma because he is an experienced Premier League midfielder.

“He spent four years at Brighton before joining Tottenham, so he has lots of experience. However, he just isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham moving forward.”

Tottenham could go through big changes in the summer

The midfielder is not good enough to play for Tottenham and it clearly shows with his disappointing performances.

Spurs are interested in a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze and that could work in their favour if they offer Bissouma to Palace.

Spurs could look like a completely different side next with club captain Son Heung-min also linked with a move away from the club.

Tottenham suffered another disappointing defeat against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League.

It continued their disastrous season under manager Ange Postecoglou who has received criticism from the fans and the media for his team’s poor showing this season.

Spurs are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League and the only thing that can save their season is success in the Europa League but even that is looking highly unlikely now.

The North London club lost their first leg clash in the Round of 16 of the Europa League against AZ Alkmaar and they have it all to do in the second leg at home.

According to TBR Football, the club’s hierarchy is deeply concerned by the team’s poor performances this season.

While there is still some sympathy with the Australian manager due to the injury crisis at the club this season, results are not helping him and making his future at the club even more difficult.

Tottenham want to target a return to the Champions League next season and that can be only achieved by winning the Europa League since qualification through their league position is not possible now.

Ange Postecoglou’s time coming to an end at Tottenham?

The manager has received the backing of the club but some sections of the hierarchy feel that a change of manager could be the solution to their problems.

TBR Football have reported that Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Fulham’s Marco Silva are all on the shortlist of the North London club and they have been impressed by all three managers and the work they have done this season.

Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna is another name that is admired by Spurs and he will be considered if they plan to change managers.

Postecoglou’s future at the club is safe at the moment but the result in the Europa League has rocked the club and they may have to make a harsh decision on the future of the manager if they are knocked out of the competition.

Everton are reportedly preparing to approach Tottenham Hotspur over a potential move for Richarlison, as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season.

The Brazilian forward has emerged as a surprise target for the Toffees, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of their exciting move to their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton’s current striker situation is causing concern, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger gave me an Arsenal shirt after a deal was AGREED – which all-time great’s move to Arsenal fell through at the last minute?

If he does not agree to fresh terms, Everton could find themselves with just Beto and Youssef Chermiti as their primary centre-forward options for the 2025-26 season. As a result, manager David Moyes, who took over in January, is keen to bring in reinforcements, especially after guiding the team to safety in the Premier League.

Richarlison, who left Everton for Tottenham in a £60million move in 2022, has been identified as a potential returnee to Goodison Park, according to GiveMeSport. Although the Toffees were reluctant to let him go, the club felt pressured to sell him due to financial constraints and the need to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. Newcastle United have previously linked to the attacker.

However, after a couple of underwhelming seasons at Spurs, Everton are now reportedly considering bringing him back to Merseyside.

Tottenham Hotspur provide Everton with Richarlison’s price tag for summer window

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham could be willing to let Richarlison go for a fee around £40million, a loss from the £60million they paid for him just two years ago. Richarlison, who is in the final two years of his contract and reportedly earns up to £130,000 a week, has been inconsistent at Spurs, which could make him available for a lower price than initially expected.

Everton are keen to explore the possibility of re-signing the 26-year-old during the early stages of the summer transfer window.

Richarlison has shown flashes of his previous form at Everton, including an impressive goal-scoring rate of one every 143 minutes in the Premier League this season.

Spurs confirm fresh injury blow with official statement

Tottenham Hotspur have faced an ongoing injury crisis this season, and their latest setback comes in the form of Dejan Kulusevski being ruled out with a foot injury.

The club has officially confirmed on their website that the Swedish midfielder will miss the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie against AZ Alkmaar and is unlikely to return before the March international break.

Tottenham confirm Dejan Kulusevski’s injury

Kulusevski’s absence will see him sidelined for both the home and away legs against AZ Alkmaar, as well as key Premier League fixtures against AFC Bournemouth and Fulham.

His injury is a significant blow for Spurs, who are striving to make a deep run in Europe while also improving their standing in the league.

Speaking ahead of the match against AZ Alkmaar, manager Ange Postecoglou revealed that Kulusevski had been playing through discomfort in his foot for weeks. Despite his efforts to push through, the club has now opted to sideline him to allow for full recovery.

However, there was some positive news for Spurs fans. It has been confirmed that Dominic Solanke, along with long-term absentees Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, have all traveled to the Netherlands with the team. All three players are in contention to return to action soon, providing a much-needed boost for the squad.

Kulusevski’s impact this season

Since joining Spurs from Juventus on an initial loan in January 2022, Kulusevski has become a key figure in the team’s attacking setup. His strong performances convinced the club to make his move permanent in the summer of 2023, and he has continued to be an influential player under Postecoglou.

So far this season, the 24-year-old has contributed 10 goals and 10 assists across 42 appearances in all competitions. Aside from his goal contributions, Kulusevski has been one of the league’s most creative midfielders, ranking highly in key passing and shot-creating metrics.

With the Europa League the last chance for Spurs to win any silverware this season, Ange would have hoped for his best player to be available. It is going to be a tough away game but Spurs have the quality to come out winners.

Tottenham transfers: Spurs eye Benjamin Sesko and Mathys Tel

Description

Tottenham are reportedly ready to make a serious push for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, even if they go ahead with a permanent deal for Mathys Tel this summer.

Spurs are expected to reshape their attack next season, with several changes on the horizon. Timo Werner’s loan spell is unlikely to be extended, and with Son Heung-min’s form dipping, the club is preparing for the possibility that he may not be as central to their plans going forward.

Tel, who has already shown flashes of his talent since arriving, is a player they’re thought to be seriously considering keeping. If they decide to make his move permanent, it’ll cost them around £45 million. But that doesn’t mean their business is done, far from it.

“Winning against Arsenal meant winning against BABIES” – which Man United legend insulted the Gunners but revealed “so much respect” for Chelsea?

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham aren’t ruling out a move for Sesko, even if Tel stays. The striker has a release clause that could climb to £66.95 million by the end of the season.

Spurs know they face an uphill battle to land him with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal linked, but they believe adding a striker of his calibre aligns with their ambitions.

If both Tel and Sesko were to arrive, Tottenham would be looking at a combined outlay of around £112 million, but it could completely reshape their frontline.

Tel, who has experience playing centrally, could shift to the left, while Sesko would lead the line. His arrival would also put pressure on Dominic Solanke, who has been sidelined with injury and would benefit from strong competition to push him back to his best.

Fabrizio Romano provides update on Mathys Tel and Tottenham Hotspur

For now, there’s no rush to make a decision on Tel. As Fabrizio Romano recently reported: “Tel’s situation is quiet now. Full focus is on the pitch. He just arrived a month ago, so Spurs want to give him time to adapt, perform, and then discuss his future.”

Beyond their striker search, Tottenham are also working on other deals. Tyler Dibling is reportedly being eyed by the north London club.

Meanwhile, the debate over Son’s long-term replacement continues, with some fans touting Jack Grealish as “the man” to fill his boots. Darren Bent has suggested that the 28-year-old looks in “unbelievable nick,” hinting that he could be a real option should Spurs decide to make a move.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is going to be busy in the summer transfer window as he plans to make big changes to his squad.

The Spurs boss signed Mathy Tel, Kevin Danso and Antonin Kinksy in the January transfer window this year.

Although his signings have not worked well so far and their poor league form and position shows that, he is determined to perform better in the summer when it comes to adding new players to his squad.

One of the players he is looking to offload after this season is midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to GiveMeSport.

The midfielder’s form, injury issues and suspension problems have contributed to his poor time at the North London club.

He has still not been able to cement a place in the starting line up after joining the club almost three years ago from Brighton.

The 28-year-old midfielder has only started 12 Premier League games this season which shows that he is not in the future plans of the Spurs boss.

Postecoglou is willing to let the midfielder leave the club as he looks for his options in the market.

Tottenham are exploring a the possibility of signing Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, a move that could cost them a whopping £138m.

Tottenham have plans to invest in the squad this summer

It only goes to show that Spurs are keen to show ambition in the summer transfer window after a poor season.

Once again, they are going to finish the season without a trophy and they are currently sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Their performances have been so poor this season that questions have been asked about the future of the manager but the club are keen on backing him as they have complete faith in his ability to turn the situation around.

Their summer clear-out may start with the sale of Bissouma and Crystal Palace are showing interest in signing him.
