Fermin Lopez has had a whirlwind 15 months. Last summer, he was promoted to the Barcelona first team after impressing during pre-season, and in his first campaign in professional football, he was one of the standout performers in Xavi Hernandez's side. His year got even better when he helped Spain win Euro 2024 and played a key role in winning the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.

This season has seen Fermin make three substitute appearances, as Barcelona have looked to manage his minutes after a busy summer. It could have been even more hectic, as Tottenham Hotspur tried to sign him during the transfer window.

As reported by Relevo, both club and player rejected the enquiry, as they are keen to continue their relationship. On top of this, Barcelona are already working on offering a new contract to the 21-year-old, which would be richly deserved.

Fermin is out for a few weeks after picking up an injury during the international break, but once he returns, he should continue to be a very important player for Barcelona.

Tottenham Hotspur were interested in signing the Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.

The Hungarian international has made quite a name for himself following a move to the Premier League in the summer of 2023. In his debut season for Bournemouth, the young full-back featured in 33 matches and impressed one and all with his consistent performances.

It has resulted in a significant amount of interest in his services with Arsenal being one of the leading candidates to sign him. Arsenal wanted to sign him along with Manchester United earlier this summer and they would have faced competition from rivals Tottenham Hotspur as revealed by Dean Jones on GMS.

The North London club already have Destiny Udogie and Sergio Reguilón in their squad. But, they were interested in the 20-year-old full-back as they look to prepare for the long run. It will be interesting to see if they decide to return for Kerkez in the near future.

Udogie is the preferred first choice for Ange Postecoglou. But, Reguilon is not a part of his plans and they have been looking to get him off their books. While Ben Davies prefers playing in the heart of the defence, he is well capable of starting out wide on the flank. But, the Welsh international is already 31 and Spurs want to bring in someone who can compete with Udogie for a place in the starting XI.

The North London club have registered their interest in the young full-back but they are not going to find it easy to acquire his services as they could face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United as well as Aston Villa. Meanwhile, the Cherries are ready to negotiate his departure but they want £42 million to sanction his departure amidst interest from some of the biggest English clubs.

Turkish outfit Galatasaray are keen on signing the Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies before the summer transfer window closes.

The 31-year-old Welsh defender has fallen down the pecking order of the club, and he is no longer a key player for them. Davies needs to leave the club in order to play regularly and would be willing to provide him with an exit route.

According to a report from Turkish publication Takvim, the European outfit have 'turned their eyes' towards the Tottenham defender, and he is valued at around €10 million. Tottenham already have Destiny Udogie as their first-choice left-back at the club and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to sanction the departure of the Welsh International.

Davies is no longer at his peak and Davies is clearly on the decline. Now would be the right time to cash in on the player while he still retains some value.

Tottenham already have players like Djed Spence at their disposal who are capable of operating operating as a full back on both flanks. It remains to be seen whether Galatasaray follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the 31-year-old defender. The Turkish transfer window closes on 13th September and Galatsaray will have to get their act together and move quickly if they want to get the deal done.

Tottenham have been quite active in the market this summer, and they could look to balance the books. Selling the Welsh defender could prove to be a wise decision if there is a reasonable offer on the table. Meanwhile, the defender will be able to get his career back on track with regular football in Turkey.

Dejan Kulusevski has been a key player for Tottenham Hotspur ever since he joined the club from Juventus.

The 24-year-old Swedish winger has established himself as a reliable performer in the Premier League, but he was recently left out of the starting eleven in the game against Leicester City.

Tottenham played out a draw against the Foxes in the Premier League this season and he was left on the bench. The Swedish international winger has now revealed that he was extremely disappointed to be on the bench, but it is the job of the player to accept the decisions of the manager and move on.

The winger further suggested that it is the job of the players to keep working hard and ensure that they are never left on the bench.

"It happens to all of us. I was benched the first game in the Premier League with Tottenham, and it burns, but as I said, try to be as good as possible so you are never on the bench. But those are my thoughts, maybe they are not someone else's thoughts", he said to Expressen.

Kulusevski is versatile enough to operate in the wide areas as well as the central attacking midfielder. He has added goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack since joining the club. The winger is likely to improve with coaching and experience in the coming seasons. He will look to establish himself as an indispensable asset for the North London club going forward.

It will be interesting to see if he can hold down a regular starting spot at the Premier League club for the remainder of the season. There is no doubt that he is good enough to start for Tottenham regularly and he needs to iron out the inconsistencies from his game.
