The return of the Premier League is in sight following the international break, and West Ham United's preparations for Saturday's derby at Tottenham Hotspur are in full swing.

Our fourth consecutive away London derby in the league offers Julen Lopetegui's men the opportunity to build on our 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town prior to the break and extend our unbeaten away start to a fourth game.

With the Hammers players who were involved for their countries over the past week beginning to return to Rush Green, the work ahead of our trip to north London is continuing apace.

Eleven years ago today West Ham United enjoyed an afternoon to remember in north London.

Tottenham Hotspur had no answer to Sam Allardyce's Hammers, as the Irons romped to a 3-0 victory over their capital rivals.

After a goalless first half, Winston Reid's close range finish sent the visitors on their way, with Ricardo Vaz Tê finishing at the second attempt to make it 2-0.

Ravel Morrison applied the coup de grâce, scything through the Spurs backline to clip over Hugo Lloris and score one of the standout goals in this history of this fixture.

Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history, in association with Heineken...

West Ham United wrapped up their pre-season tour of Australia in style, making it two wins from two by defeating local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Optus Stadium in Perth on this day in 2023.

The Hammers continued their impressive form in preparation for the new campaign as goals from Danny Ings, Divin Mubama and Gianluca Scamacca ensured another victory for David Moyes’ men Down Under.

West Ham took command thanks to first half headers from Ings and Mubama, ensuring a two goal lead at the break.

A host of half-time changes for Tottenham saw Ange Postecoglu’s men make a strong start to the second half. Their pressure was rewarded as Giovanni Lo Celso’s sweetly struck volley and Destiny Udogie’s flicked header brought Spurs back into the contest.

But the Hammers fought back to retake the lead when substitute Scamacca latched on to Pablo Fornals’ slide rule pass and finished superbly to seal victory.
