Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Destiny Udogie may be available for Tottenham's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.

The Italian defender was substituted in the 5-0 win over Southampton on Sunday, but Postecoglou has moved to quell any fears over an injury for the defender. He says the 22-year-old was merely a bit sore rather than suffering from anything more serious.

"From the other night, Destiny no injury but he is still sore from the game," Postecoglou told reporters. "[I'm] not ruling him out but will see how he is with the turnaround."

However, both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will remain out for the clash against United, and are not expected back until the start of 2025 - meaning they will likely miss the Premier League games against Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Wolves.

"I think both [Van de Ven and Romero] will be in the new year," Postecoglou added. "Not as significant an injury as last time with Micky, a setback but just make sure right to go. Both in the new year at some point."

However, there was more positive news for Spurs elsewhere, with Mikey Moore having returned to training after recovering from a virus. Ben Davies is also set to return to action next week, while striker Richarlison will join Van de Ven and Romero in returning in the new year.

"Mikey is back in training. The next cabs off the rank are Mikey and Ben Davies potentially next week and Richarlison potentially first week of the new year."
