Tottenham Hotspur have been a club in the headlines recently, with news swirling around N17.

From Dane Scarlett's potential stay after a Europa League impact to another Tottenham youngster eyeing a loan move before the transfer deadline, the club is a hive of activity.

That win against Elfsborg in the Europa League, with the youngsters doing bits and getting us into the next round, was a bit of a bright spot. But, you know, things aren't exactly rosy.

There's a proper tense vibe around Tottenham at the minute. The fans are making their feelings known, online and at the ground, and they're not happy.

A lot of it's aimed at the top brass, but the gaffer's getting some stick too, 'cause let's face it, we've been all over the shop lately.

Everyone's wondering what's next, but Ange seems determined to stick to his guns.

Ange Postecoglou says this can still be a successful season for Tottenham

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has addressed the concerns of the supporters, acknowledging the current situation and offering a message of hope.

He insisted that there are still opportunities to turn the season around and achieve success.

"My message would be to all Spurs fans because I represent them all not just the angry ones that you are referring to or maybe talking to. All Spurs fans. We are working hard to turn this around," Postecoglou said (via Alasdair Gold).

He continued, “Obviously we know the situation, notwithstanding the fact the possibilities and opportunities in the second half of this season are still very much in our hands to capitalise on and still make it a successful season.”

Those words, meant to calm things down, will probably get a mixed reception. Some fans might like his positive outlook, but others will think he's miles away from what's actually happening.

The pressure's right on Postecoglou now, and the next few months are massive for him. With some huge games coming up, like that Carabao Cup semi at Anfield, there's not much room for mistakes. Basically, he needs to win something this season, or it's curtains, and he knows it.

Postecoglou deserves support at Tottenham

Postecoglou needs some backing. The real issue at Tottenham isn't him, it's the board. They've been making dodgy decisions for ages, and the fans are the ones who suffer.

But, Ange needs to be a bit more straight with the supporters, too. No need to sugarcoat things, they're not daft.

If the team's not performing, just say it and focus on fixing it. But honestly, sticking with the gaffer is key, it's the only way things will get better.
