Ange Postecoglou must find a way to turn around Tottenham Hotspur’s poor form and one of the ways he could do that is by starting one of the club’s biggest young talents.
TBR Football understands that Tottenham have no immediate plans to replace Postecoglou with Daniel Levy feeling that the injury crisis has been the catalyst to their dire campaign.
But the Australian head coach needs to start switching things up at Tottenham given their shocking form and he has been told what he must do with the 17-year-old in the next two games.
Mikey Moore must start Tottenham’s next two matches
Ange Postecoglou has been told that Mikey Moore must start Tottenham’s next two matches by Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold.
Moore made his long-awaited return to Premier League action from illness against Everton as he was given 17 minutes off the bench at Goodison Park.
Moore’s cameo against Everton impressed Tottenham fans as the winger claimed his first senior assist with an incredible cross for Richarlison.
He told Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham: “Mikey Moore has to start against Hoffenheim for me and probably if he’s able to fitness-wise he has to start against Leicester as well.
“They just need someone who is going to do something unpredictable because everything else at the moment is that little bit predictable.
“They need some width and he is very good at getting past his man and getting that ball across which the system relies on. He was one of the few shining lights on a day where there were so few.”
Mikey Moore’s superb assist vs Everton
Moore announced his return with his first-ever Premier League assist with Jamie Carragher labelling it ‘absolutely outstanding’ from the teenager.
The 17-year-old produced a wicked cross into the Everton penalty area which Richarlison got on to the end of at the back post to poke home.
Postecoglou’s squad has been decimated by injuries this season and having an exciting talent like Moore back available is huge for the manager.
