Alasdair Gold has said that Lucas Bergvall has worked hard to improve one aspect of his game since arriving at Tottenham last summer, revealing that he notices a change every time he sees the young midfielder.
Even in his wildest dreams, Bergvall might not have expected his first season at Tottenham Hotspur to go as well as it has done.
The 19-year-old was very much signed as one for the future, but he has not only managed to adjust to the huge jump from the Allsvenskan to the Premier League, but he has also become one of Tottenham’s most important players over the last few months.
The teenager is now one of the first names on Ange Postecoglou’s teamsheet and Alasdair Gold has noticed one particular area where the youngster keeps improving.

While Tottenham fans are excited by the Swede’s potential, some pundits continue to question if Bergvall has the tactical discipline to play in midfield.
However, the teenager is evidently getting better with each outing, and Gold pointed out that the youngster is making a conscious effort to bulk up to cope with the demands of English football.
The journalist stated that the youngster looks a lot stronger than he did earlier this season, suggesting that his increased strength has enabled him to look after possession much better.

He said about Bergvall on Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham: “He’s turning into a big lad as well, I watched the footage of the players coming out the tunnel and he is properly bulking up.
“Every time I see him he looks a little bit stronger and stronger and I know Ange said it’s because he keeps following Deki (Kulusevski) in the gym.
“But it’s impacting his play as well, he’s so much stronger on the ball. He’s going to be one of the first names on the team sheet going forward.”
