Brennan Johnson has scooped our HSBC Player of the Match award after he struck twice to down Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

In a poll run exclusively on the Spurs Official App, Brennan took the majority of your votes to see him take the award - his third of the campaign.

Our leading goalscorer this term, the Wales international was certainly a deserving winner of the prize having bagged his second brace in six games to send us into a 2-0 first-half lead against the Saints. Mathys Tel later grabbed us a third to seal the win after Matheus Fernandes had pulled one back for the visitors.

The goals saw the forward hit a number of goalscoring landmarks. His first of the afternoon saw him reach 20 goals for us in all competitions, which includes 15 for this campaign alone and double figures in a Premier League season for the first time.

The second goal saw him register 20 goal contributions for the season so far (something only managed by three other players since 2018), while it also took him to 50 league goals in English football.
