Daniel Levy names his three biggest achievements during his tenure as chairman and his answer might surprise Tottenham fans.
Annual fan forum held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The annual fan forum took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday evening, with a select group of supporters and influencers being invited to the stadium to post questions to Ange Postecoglou, Son Heung-min, Daniel Levy, Johan Lange, Beth England, and Robert Vilahamn.
With this being one of the rare occasions that Spurs fans actually get a chance to pose questions to Levy, many tend to watch the event with interest to see what the 62-year-old feels about the direction of the club.
Levy asked to name his biggest achievements
At the event, the chairman of Tottenham was asked to name his three biggest achievements over his two-decade-long tenure at the club so far.
According to Davina Pindoria, who was at the event, Levy named getting to the Champions League final in 2019 and the building of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as his two biggest achievements.
He allegedly suggested that amassing the players he has at the club over the years is his third biggest achievement, admitting that he is ‘honoured and blessed’ to have worked with the ‘amazing players’ he has.
No mention of trophies?
Some fans will perhaps question why Levy did not include the 2008 League Cup win as being among his biggest achievements, but one can understand why he did not mention that.
The squad we had in 2008 was not particularly strong, as evidenced by the fact that we finished in eleventh place that season.
That was certainly not a bigger achievement than getting to the Champions League final in 2019 or qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history in 2010.
