Tottenham had a royal guest on Wednesday as King Charles III visited the club's facilities to attend an event highlighting the socio-economic impact of the club within the local community. During the event, the King met with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, captain Son Heung-min, and player Beth England.
It was during this occasion that Son confided in the monarch, revealing that the team is experiencing "a difficult time". When asked by King Charles about Tottenham's chances of defeating Manchester United this weekend, Son responded: "I hope so."
The South Korean forward has been facing criticism from fans, with this season proving to be one of his most challenging since joining the club. Tottenham's struggles have left them perilously close to the relegation zone in the Premier League.
