Harry Kane is said to be very happy in Germany and has no plans to return to the Premier League any time soon. The England captain, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham, reportedly has a release clause in his contract at the Allianz Arena and had the option to activate it during the winter transfer window.

Kane has been a revelation in Germany and has bagged an incredible 70 goals and 22 assists in 72 appearances for Bayern.

He became the quickest player in history to reach 50 Bundesliga goals last autumn after hitting the milestone in just 43 games.

Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 in a deal that could eventually be worth £120million.

But, according to the Daily Mail, the 31-year-old has a buy-out stipulation in his contract and is able to activate it. The clause could have been activated in the most recent transfer window for a fee of £67m, which will drop to £54m next January.

But Kane has no intention of activating it any time soon as he is enjoying life where he currently is.

Tottenham are said to have first refusal to land the blockbuster star for a second time after Spurs chairman Daniel Levy negotiated the clause when the striker departed north London.

But they could face a transfer battle with Manchester United as Red Devils minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly keen to sign the player.

United have struggled in the final third this season, with forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both habitually faltering in front of goal. And Kane could be the answer to United’s woes, nearly four years after he almost signed for their rivals Manchester City.

Kane is the second-highest scorer in Premier League history after finding the back of the net 213 times in England’s top flight.

And, privately, he is said to be open to returning to England to hunt down Alan Shearer’s record. The former Newcastle striker currently tops the all-time Premier League goalscoring charts after bagging an incredible 260 goals in the competition.

But Kane will first be eyeing up silverware with Bayern. Vincent Kompany’s side have stormed to the top of the Bundesliga table after winning 16 of their 20 matches this season and are six points ahead of reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen.

The team also face a two-legged showdown with Celtic in the Champions League play-off round and will be aiming to go all the way in Europe this season, five years after last winning the competition.
