Tottenham are in desperate need of a win this Thursday as they are set to travel to Germany for the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie. Here’s how to watch the clash between Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt.

After a disappointing 4-2 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur’s attention now turns to the Europa League.

The Lilywhites are set to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League tie, after both sides played out a 1-1 draw last Thursday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Coming into this game, Frankfurt remain unbeaten at home in the Europa League, while they also secured a 3-0 win against FC Heidenheim in their Bundesliga clash.

Tottenham definitely have a lot to do as they look to keep their European aspirations alive in what has been a rather bleak season.

When and where is the game?

The Europa League clash will be hosted at the Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The fixture is scheduled for an 8pm UK time kick-off.

Tottenham vs Frankfurt team news

Tottenham Hotspur have one notable absentee for Thursday, as Kevin Danso remains a doubt for this clash.

Heung-min Son — who sat out the defeat to Wolves due to a foot injury — is expected to return and should be available for selection, offering a much-needed attacking threat.

Radu Dragusin, meanwhile, is still nursing an ACL injury and remains the only long-term absentee within Postecoglou’s ranks.

As for Frankfurt, they’ve been hit with a spate of short-term injuries — and though not season-ending, they are significant enough to impact team selection.

Ansgar Knauff is struggling with a knee injury and will be out for a few days, while Eric Ebimbe is currently sidelined with gastrointestinal discomfort.

First-choice goalkeeper Kevin Trapp is battling a calf injury, and Krisztian Lisztes will miss out due to illness, with both players also expected to return within the week.

Spurs Web prediction

It is definitely going to be a tough encounter for the Lilywhites as they are set to face one of their toughest European ties away from home.

Ange Postecoglou’s men performance against Wolves in the weekend did little to inspire confidence.

Tottenham fans would be hoping for a better showing on Thursday, as anything less would see the Lilywhites crashing out from the Europa League.

With a draw in the first leg, a victory is all that stands in the way of Tottenham and a place in the semi-finals.
