Tottenham Hotspur are at their lowest ebb in years.
Indeed, Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League table, and they’re now also out of the Carabao Cup after a 4-0 loss to Liverpool on Thursday.
Tottenham are really struggling at the moment, and, as ever, poor performances leads to a manager being under pressure.
Ange Postecoglou has been questioned recently, and Tottenham have explored some other options in the market.
Indeed, Spurs have ben linked with Edin Terzic, while it’s been reported that Matt Wells could get the interim job if Ange Postecoglou was sacked.
However, speaking on TalkSPORT, Jamie O’Hara has backed another manager to come in on an interim basis.
Jamie O’Hara would have Harry Redknapp back at Tottenham
O’Hara fielded a call from a Tottenham fan who called for Harry Redknapp to return to Spurs.
The fan wanted Redknapp back in the dugout, and O’Hara wasn’t against the idea at all.
Indeed, the pundit said that Redknapp may bring the feelgood factor back to Spurs and that he’d take him back.
“I wouldn’t give it to Mason, we’ve been here before. I would give it to Harry,” The caller said.
“Harry who?” O’Hara asked.
“Harry Redknapp,” The caller replied.
“It might bring the feelgood factor mate. You kow what I’m all for Harry Redknapp, bring back Harry, bring in H, get him in,” O’Hara said.
What Harry Redknapp has said about returning to Tottenham
Redknapp coming back to Tottenham at the age of 77, would be remarkable, and that would actually make him the oldest Premier League manager in history.
However, it’s not something that Redknapp is against.
Indeed, after Antonio Conte was sacked by Spurs in 2022, Redknapp said that he would be open to a return to Tottenham.
“It’s been amazing in football recently because Neil Warnock is back in at 75 years of age at Huddersfield where he’s turned a team that couldn’t win a game into winning three games on the spin. Roy Hodgson has gone back in at Palace too,” Redknapp said.
“You need to get back in at Spurs, Harry, they need you at Spurs,” Redknapp was told.
“I’m ready for a comeback myself. I’m ready, I’d crawl back there!” Redknapp concluded.
Redknapp may be past his best at this point, but his last season at Tottenham was much better than Ange Postecoglou’s current return at Spurs.
Who knows? If Tottenham do just need a short-term solution, perhaps they could do worse than bringing in a manager who loves the club and would give everyone in north London a short-term boost.
