Ange Postecoglou has named the Tottenham team that he believes can come away with a positive result from Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Thursday night.
Spurs bolstered Postecoglou's threadbare squad in the final days of the winter transfer window with 26-year-old centre-back Kevin Danso arriving from Lens on loan with an obligation to buy for £20.9million and then 19-year-old attacker Mathys Tel followed from Bayern Munich on deadline day on another loan with a £45.8million option to make his move permanent.
Danso starts alongside Ben Davies with Archie Gray at right-back and Djed Spence on the left, with Pedro Porro on the bench with Tel.
Postecoglou continues to be without Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as well as a string of unavailable players with Dane Scarlett cup tied.
In the midfield Pape Matar, who scored on Sunday, comes into the midfield with Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma, while Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison and Son Heung-min start up front.
Here's the Tottenham team Postecoglou has selected to face Liverpool:
Kinsky; Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence; Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Son. Subs: Austin, Reguilon, Cassanova, Porro, Bergvall, Olusesi, Tel, Ajayi, Moore.
