Tottenham Hotspur technical director Johan Lange is a fan of Brentford manager Thomas Frank amid growing uncertainty over Ange Postecoglou’s future at the club, The Telegraph journalist Matt Law has reported.

The Australian manager is believed to be heading towards the sack in North London regardless of whether Spurs win the Europa League, with the club now beginning to explore potential successors.

While Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva are expected to be among the leading candidates, Frank could also emerge as an option.

The Danish tactician has been linked with a Brentford exit for well over a year, and GIVEMESPORT sources have confirmed that he has been discussed by Tottenham.

Tottenham Eyeing Thomas Frank

As a successor to Ange Postecoglou

According to Law, while winning the Europa League and qualifying for next season’s Champions League may save Postecoglou from the sack, there is a growing sense that the Australian is likely to leave at the end of the season.

His key ally and one of his biggest supporters, chief football officer Scott Munn, is also expected to depart this summer, following the confirmed appointment of former Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Tottenham have lost 18 of their 33 league games this season.

Frank, meanwhile, has a contract with Brentford until June 2027, meaning any potential exit could require Spurs to pay his release clause.

The 'exceptional' Danish tactician, who has been with the Bees since 2018, is leading them to another mid-table finish as Brentford currently sit 11th with five games remaining, nine points ahead of Spurs in 16th.

Tottenham are now heading for their lowest-ever Premier League finish, having never ended a season outside the top 15. They last missed out on the top half of the table in 2007/08 under Juande Ramos.
