Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué will reportedly be heading to Paris Saint-Germain to continue his career in Ligue 1. Moreover, the amount that the Parisians are going to pay for the teenager is surfacing as the move becomes imminent.

This summer, Doué attracted interest from top European clubs such as Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Frenchman opted to remain in France and sign with the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Furthermore, this decision came as a surprise to Bayern Munich as Sky Sport Germany’s Kerry Hau and Florian Plettenberg reported that the Bundesliga side had been optimistic about securing his commitment after positive discussions with him and his management.

The latest on Doué comes from journalist Ben Jacobs, who provided the financial side of the move. According to Jacobs, PSG’s total offer for Doué is lower than what Bayern Munich proposed.

PSG’s strategy was to secure Doué’s approval first and then submit a smaller bid. The key meeting after the Olympics between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Doué, and his father played a crucial role in this approach. The fee is around €50 million, but it could reach up to €60 million, including add-ons.

Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes. Additionally, the teenager won a silver medal during the Olympics as the French national team lost in the final to Spain.
