Liverpool and Tottenham will go head-to-head in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, with the Reds needing just one point to claim the title.

Arne Slot's side have been sensational all season and moved to within a single point of their 20th top-flight title with a 1-0 win over relegated Leicester City in their last outing, while Ange Postecoglou's side have lost 18 times this season including a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday night.

Both teams have got injury concerns for the game and the managers have some decisions to make, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expect the teams to line up.

Alexander-Arnold fit again

Liverpool were able to welcome back Trent Alexander-Arnold to the squad against Leicester and he came off the bench to score the winning goal. However, he's unlikely to be ready to play for 90 minutes again and could be on the bench once more.

Joe Gomez remains out with a hamstring injury and could return before the end of the season, but the rest of the squad is fit and available.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Slot shared an update on the squad ahead of the game.

“That depends of course on the upcoming two sessions, but he [Bradley] was getting closer and closer to 90 minutes.

“The first and the second one were approximately the same amount of minutes and it’s normal if you played twice around 70 minutes then the chance of you being able to play 90 is getting closer and closer.

“But we are also taking very good care of him because he had two injuries that were similar. Let’s wait and see how he does today and tomorrow if he’s able to play, and if he’s able to play if he can make 90.

“If his [Gomez] recovery goes well, he would be able to [play] maybe in the last one or two games of the season.

“But he is still not training with us yet. But he is coming closer and closer to train with the team.

“But then he’s been out for a long time. We were just discussing Conor Bradley – it took him a while before he could even come in or have a long start.

“I think he [Gomez] will be available in the last one, two or three games if his recovery goes the way as planned.”

Liverpool Predicted XI

Diaz to lead the line

Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz.

Liverpool Predicted Substitutes: Kelleher (GK), Alexander-Arnold (DEF), Tsimikas (DEF), Quansah (DEF), Endo (MID), Jones (MID), Elliott (MID), Nunez (FWD), Jota (FWD).

With Trent not fully fit and still expected to leave the club at the end of the season, Conor Bradley should continue at right-back while Luis Diaz should lead the attack from a central position.

That leaves £280,000-a-week duo Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota on the bench at Anfield as they chase the league title.

Tottenham Team News

Heung-Min Son ruled out

Tottenham will have to deal without their captain Heung-Min Son for the game at Anfield on Sunday, with the South Korean still struggling with a foot injury.

Postecoglou may also have one eye on the Europa League semi-final clash in midweek, which could see him rotate the team. Radu Dragusin remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.

Speaking in his pre-game press conference, Postecoglou shared an update on his squad ahead of the match.

"Squad wise, there's no change. All the guys got through (Forest) okay. In terms of rehab, Sonny's the only one who is going through that process, improving, but not ready for Sunday.

"Again, with the programme we have coming up, Thursday obviously is a big night for us, so it will be a matter of playing a few that need the game time and others we feel may need less exposure, we'll have a look at that.

"We don't have injury problems, as such. The only one is Sonny, trying to work his way back. He's improving, which is positive for us, but not (fit) for Sunday. Everyone from the last game has come back well, so apart from the longer-term ones, the rest of the squad is fit and available.

"We'll see [if he can play on Thursday]. He's improving. It's the first time he's been out on the grass today, he said it felt distinctively better than it was. It's a day by day situation.

"It's a bit of both [rest and recovery]. The foot element... it's weight bearing, so you need to give him some rest, some time off it, and get some treatment. The main thing was to get him off his feet for a week to allow it to settle, so he could start the process of getting back."

Tottenham Predicted XI

Postecoglou to prioritise Europa League

Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Spence, Gray, Romero, Udogie; Bentancur, Bissouma; Johnson, Maddison, Odobert; Richarlison.

Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Kinsky (GK), Porro (DEF), Van de Ven (DEF), Davies (DEF), Bergvall (MID), Sarr (MID), Tel (FWD), Kulusevski (FWD), Solanke (FWD).

With one eye on Thursday night, Postecoglou is likely to refresh his squad and give some players added minutes while also resting key stars. That should see Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma and Wilson Odobert come into the starting lineup.
