Manchester United turned to Ruben Amorim earlier this winter. They appointed the former Sporting Lisbon man after making the decision to sack Erik ten Hag.

It has been a mixed start for their new manager and he will be hoping for some more consistency over the coming weeks and months. The Red Devils have the chance to sign some players before the end of the January transfer window and also have the opportunity to let some individuals leave.

Manchester United update regarding Marcus Rashford

United will ‘block’ Marcus Rashford from joining another Premier League rival this month with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham showing ‘interest’ in a loan move, according to the Daily Star. AC Milan have emerged as a potential next destination for the attacker.

Rashford, who is 27-years-old, is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford right now after seeing his game time dry up under Amorim. He has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date and has never played for another team.

He has recently said that he wants a new challenge: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.

"It's disheartening to be left out of a derby but it's happened, we won the game so let's move on. It's disappointing but I'm also someone as I've got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I'm available."

Tottenham Hotspur eye Alejandro Garnacho at Manchester United

Spurs are interested in a £60million move for United winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to Football Transfers. Napoli are also believed to be interested in the 20-year-old.

Ange Postecoglou could see the Argentina international, who has eight caps under his belt so far, as someone to bolster his attacking ranks. The London outfit lost 2-1 to rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last time out.

Garnacho has made 30 appearances in all competitions so far in this campaign, 18 of which have come in the league, and he has scored eight goals. He is under contract until June 2028 meaning there is no pressure to let him go just yet.

He has been on the books of United since joining them as a teenager back in 2020. Prior to his move to England, he had spells in Spain at Getafe and Atletico Madrid.

The Madrid-born man made his first-team debut back in 2022 and has since gone on to play 114 matches for his current club altogether, finding the net on 23 occasions. He has won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup in the past under former head coach Erik ten Hag. United would have a decision to make if a big money bid came in from Spurs.
