Tottenham will now look ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash with Brentford after their Europa League action on Thursday night. Plenty of attention will also be on Monday night’s transfer deadline, with Spurs in need of new recruits.

Ange Postecoglou needs a new attacker as a minimum, but the search is not proving to be an easy one. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Spurs.

Tel race latest

Tottenham are said to hold serious interest in signing Bayern Munich wideman Mathys Tel, who is reportedly attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and four other clubs ahead of the deadline. Sky Sports reporter Karveh Solhekol has provided the latest, saying: “Spurs are interested in him as well, RB Leipzig in Germany.

“This evening we have been contacted by some people involved in some of the deals around Tel and they’re saying to us, look don’t get too carried away, we’re aware of all these reports that he has decided to leave Bayern Munich, but we haven’t been told that as concrete information yet, so we’re waiting to hear from the player himself.” Tel has a reported asking price of more than £40million.

Walker-Peters link

Tottenham are said to be interesting in re-signing Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters. According to The Boot Room, Walker-Peters has rejected the chance to join Galatasaray despite the Turkish club meeting Southampton’s £8million asking price.

It’s claimed Spurs could now move to strike a bargain deal to add depth at full-back, and the player is likely to be interested in returning five years after his departure. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in a deal, which is no surprise given the reported asking price for a player who is still only 27 years of age.

Neville on possible Ange sack

Gary Neville has predicted when Postecoglou might get the sack at Tottenham as the Australian continues to battle for his job amid a rotten run of form.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Neville said: "If he loses the second leg of the Carabao Cup to Liverpool and he goes out of the FA Cup, I think that it will become so toxic that Daniel Ley will act. If they’re out of the cup competitions, I think he will act."
