Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keeping tabs on the Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha.

According to the Spanish publication AS, The attacker will cost around £60 million due to a release clause in his contract and the north London club are hoping to secure his signature.

The report states that Tottenham and Manchester United are following his developments ‘very closely’. He has shown his quality in the Premier League and he has established himself as a reliable performer in the top flight.

He could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. The Brazilian is versatile enough to operate in the wide areas as well as a centre forward. He will add some much-needed cutting edge and unpredictability to the Spurs attack.

They need to add more depth to the attacking unit and signing the Wolves attacker could prove to be a wise decision. However, the asking price could complicate matters. They need to improve the other areas of their squad as well and spending £60 million on the Brazilian could prove to be difficult.

On the other hand, Manchester United are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and they have the financial resources to afford the Brazilian as well. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Spurs need to improve their squad if they want to compete in the Champions League regularly and fight for trophies.

The Brazilian is entering the peak years of his career and he will want to join a big club. Tottenham and Manchester United will be attractive destinations for him. He will certainly hope that a big club comes in for him in the summer. He has shown his quality in a struggling Wolves side this season (12 goals and four assists), and there is no doubt that he is good enough to play for the biggest clubs in the country.
