Tottenham eyeing another former Everton manager to replace Ange Postecoglou, it’s not Marco Silva

Everton have seen plenty of managers come and go over recent years.

Another Premier League team who find themselves in the same boat is Tottenham Hotspur, and they are expected to make another change this summer.

David Moyes got his first victory back on Merseyside against the Lilywhites in January as Spurs now find themselves below the Toffees.

The Friedkins will be delighted with their Moyes hire following some really poor signs being shown at Everton under Sean Dyche.

Unless Spurs secure Europa League triumph, the same will not be said about Ange Postecoglou in north London.

With another managerial change on the horizon in N17, Spurs are looking at another former Everton manager as their potential successor for Postecoglou.

Tottenham eyeing former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti

It has already been suggested Tottenham are interested in Marco Silva to potentially make the switch across London.

MORE EVERTON STORIES

Whether Spurs could drag him away from Fulham is another matter on the back of what is set to be their worst Premier League campaign ever.

According to Give Me Sport, their poor season may not stop them from being ambitious and making a move for Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti.

It is suggested the 65-year-old has been discussed internally at Spurs, but the Lilywhites are well aware of how difficult it would be to secure his services.

Ancelotti has, of course, enjoyed a brief spell in the Premier League during his time at Goodison Park.

But Ancelotti did manufacture a move back to Real Madrid after receiving a phone call during their last managerial search.

Question marks hang over the Italian’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu following their recent elimination from the Champions League.

Ancelotti has been linked with the Brazil national vacancy, which would certainly prove a shock move if that was to happen.

What Carlo Ancelotti previously said about the Premier League

Ancelotti could help return Richarlison to form if he was to make the move to north London this summer.

The pair have worked together during their time at Goodison Park.

Incredibly, Ancelotti claimed Richarlison could win the Ballon d’Or, but he has instead found himself struggling with his post-Everton career.

Speaking back in 2015, Ancelotti said he had a real hunger to return to the Premier League following his time at Chelsea.

“I’d like to go back to the Premier League. It is the ideal environment not for football, but for the ‘game’ around football,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

“You can work with the right amount of pressure, the necessary detachment and calm. Before I quit, I’d like to have another experience in England.”

It will be interesting to see whether his time on Merseyside filled that hunger.
